I can't say enough great things about AZ Sleepy Teepee! I asked if they could do a custom Wicked theme and the owner, Dana was all on board with it. When it got closer to my daughter's birthday party, Dana texted me to let me know that there were actually a few other families that wanted the Wicked theme so she would waive the custom fee, which was awesome. I know the teepee's are cute, but save yourself time and do yourself and your family a favor...find another party place!! I had many points during the party booking process where there were discrepancies on what I was told versus what I was provided or charged (I'm outlining the big ones, but just know there were more issues). I signed a contract based on verbal over the phone pricing for the teepee minimum and was told I could add additional teepees for $50 each. When I added one teepee onto the party, the price for that one teepee was more than 5 times the quoted price. I did not want to do business with a company that doesn't honor their word so I decided to cancel the party. Their own website says there is a $50 charge to cancel if you provide atleast 4 weeks notice, & I provided more than 5 weeks notice. The appropriate notice won't matter, because after you sign the contract, they will take the majority of your deposit no matter what they told you verbally prior to the contract or what their website says. I gave the owner Ryan the opportunity to make things right but honestly he is rude, condescending, and he talks over you. He didn't want to do what is right and return our deposit less the $50 charge listed on his website. He chose to blame his web developer, told me I shouldn't rely on their website or phone conversations with his staff, and to only use the contract. However, I signed the contract based on the pricing provided in the initial verbal conversation for adding on teepees later. During that discussion about how my price quote went up after I signed the contract, he again spoke over me with his misjudged and offensive comment... "Our parties aren't for everyone"..... Implying that we are canceling because it's too expensive for us. Our choice to cancel had nothing to do with affordability and had EVERYTHING to do with not wanting to do business with a shady company that we can not trust. Our new party we happily booked is 3 times the cost of the party we booked with AZ Sleepy Teepee...clearly cost was not the issue. Send your business to a company that will do the right thing and honor their word all the time, whether it's verbally, on their website, or in a contract. Good luck finding your perfect party!
