So good, we decided to have another party the very next week. They assigned Lukus, who never showed up. Very stressful and also costly because there were things I'd purchased for the party that I couldn't do without help that went to waste. I get it, you're depending on people you've hired to do what they say and show up, so it's hit/miss. The 1 star is because at first, Lauren w/Party Host Helpers, seemed concerned and apologetic, called me to say she is looking for someone to help me that night. Of course, there wasn't anyone at that late notice on a Saturday night. That's the last I've heard from them. Now it's been 3 days. No call, no email, no text and NO REFUND of my deposit. It wouldn't have taken much for them to call or email, extend their apologies again, and refund my money. But, they've moved on and clearly don't care. Now I am stuck holding the bag, investing more of MY time to chase my refund. It's a good idea, but you can't count on it and if they fail, you can't count on them promptly processing a refund. *sigh* Never again.

We met Joyce about 6 weeks before the party and shared our vision with her regarding our desired theme. We really wanted a natural feel to the party using herbs and succulents, burlap and natural fabrics. Other than that we didn't give her much direction, but she proved to us that she didn't need it! We were absolutely blown away with the final product. Never in our wildest dreams did we ever think we could have such beautiful decorations and tablescapes, it was exactly our vision X100! Joyce created an amazing backdrop behind our buffet table out of wood pallets. She printed some of the food images off of our website onto wood and hung them throughout the backdrop. There was a galvanized sign in lights with the word EAT spelled out. It was absolutely beautiful; all of our guests were amazed. She had customs napkins made up with our logo, succulents scattered throughout the various tables, adorable signs identifying our menu items...we could go on and on. Joyce is one in a million; look no further when planning your next party or dinner. Not only is she the best in the business, she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She not only decorated our main dining room table, but also put together the most adorable table for the kids complete with craft paper and wooden boxes of markers to keep the kids occupied while the adults enjoyed a more relaxed dinner of their own. Our table was even more amazing with fresh flowers in an antique wooden tool box surrounded by greens all atop a burlap table runner, linen napkins with sprigs of fresh rosemary, personal bottles of wine and small succulents in glass jars that served as place cards for our guests. And beyond the table setting, Joyce laid out a beautiful wine-themed cheese and fruit platter for our guests to enjoy before dinner. She provided every last thing for the perfect dinner party with the most amazing attention to detail. It is a live-in artisian community for those wanting to perfect a certain type of bell making technic. The setting is mystical as it reminded me of a Hollywood movie set. It was beautiful in a unique way. I was glad to be attending a Cloth and Flame dinner here tonight. Cloth and Flame (C and F) had enhanced the surroundings with a bar, spa-like soothing music and mood lighting. Hors d'oeuvres were served while people mingled and engaged in pleasant conversations. An introduction was made of C and F, Arcosant staff and residents. They explained the mission of Arcosanti and shared the founder's vision. The bell was sounded and we all took our assigned seats for an incredible evening and fabulous food. Around 75 people sat at assigned seats for a delicious family style meal. Being seated in this manner forced you to meet and have conversations with couples on your right and left. It was a community feeling for a dinner that I don't get at a normal restaurant. People were open, engaging, friendly and warm. It was like dining at a friend's house with additional guests you have never met. The ambience was only outdone by the quality and flavor of the food. I have included a copy of the menu. We started with a mushroom, roasted garlic and allum crema. I am a huge fan of mushrooms and was not disappointed but had to remember, this was meant to be shared with others at the table. The next dish was a salad with cauliflower, raisins, berry mixture and mint. It was a completely different taste profile and a welcomed surprise to my taste buds. The orange flavored salmon filets and beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauces was perfectly cooked and moist. This is not easy to accomplish as they had to be served to all guests at once and were spot on. Great job by the chefs! Our dessert was a corn marscapone with strawberries.
