Outstanding service and customer care! I found this place on a whim. I was looking for a nice place for my son to have his first haircut and this place was the best pick for us. My almost 2 year old has never had his haircut and Anna did an amazing job at cutting my son's hair. I told her what I wanted and she made it happen. My son had a great first haircut experience. He did not cry and was very calm - loved the car experience too. They provided him with a certificate and picture of the haircut and a keepsake piece of hair. I wish I could give negative stars because this is the absolute worst haircut my son has received thus far and the most expensive one as well. We showed the stylist a reference photo of what we wanted and before she even started I stated I wanted it long on top and just a trim on the sides but also keep it long. She replied back "yeah I understand." She proceeds to get the clippers and start cutting his hair with what I believe was a two guard. She obviously went much higher than what she she have, didn't give any sort of gradient to the sides where had she used a scoop motion with the clippers she would have achieved this vs keep the clipper flat against his head and go as high as she did. I can't even express how much we absolutely hate his haircut. My wife said my face said it all so she spoke out and said the haircut looked horrible. The stylist asked "so you don't like it" and my wife replied back "no, it looks bad. You went really high after we said we wanted his hair like the photo and like the little boy in the other chair. The stylist replied back that his hair looked like that because he has a lot of hair. Ummmmmmm no lmao his hair looks like this because you fucked it up. Despite this and despite my desire to want to tip, my wife still said we should; either way, we both hate his haircut and it's thanks to you guys. I'm sure it won't matter to you either because you all obviously have enough business to keep you doors open if one customer decides to never come back, but yeah...we won't be back. Over priced for a garbage haircut. Not the best experience. This was my 2 year old's first haircut and there were several misses. They were late to our appointment because their previous haircut was taking longer, which would have been fine - we don't mind waiting. Right before it was our turn, another family checked in for their appointment, which was set for after ours. We overheard management tell them "don't worry, you're next, it should only be 10-15 minutes". They only had 1 hairstylist. That suggests they were only planning on a 10-15 minute haircut for our son. When it was our turn though, they got him in a chair and the hairstylist immediately got in without even saying anything. She was brusque and accidentally bumped his head with her hand, and he started crying. She did not take her time at all and kept saying "don't cry". They finished his cut quickly, and proceeded to take care of the next family. I saw the stylist taking her time, like she should have with us. The manager tried sweet talking us in the end. The place is nice with cars for seats, and they give you a balloon at the end. That's all it has going for it. The service was not great and we will not be back. read more

After telling Alma my daughter needed a trim for her bob-- "an inch around"... she proceeded to take the electric razor to the back of her head and by the time I saw her take it all the way up the back of her head, it was too late. We've been coming for years, and never had a cut this bad, but the worst part was the way she tried to convince me (gaslight?) this was how it had been cut every time before. As if I'm not the kid's mom and haven't taken her to every haircut preceding this one? Cmon lady. My four year old looks like Kate Gosselin now and I paid fifty bucks for the honor. And now it's not going to grow out evenly. Sigh. I know it's just hair but it's particularly rough when it's your baby's hair. I've never been picky about the stylist, we usually do a walk in... and to be clear- Alma had cut her hair before (never the best job but certainly never ever like this)... and perhaps she is better suited to doing a quick boy's cut. My kids love seeing Debbie for their haircuts - highly recommend! Great haircuts for my 7 year old girl and 9 year old boy. The salon is very clean and fun for little kids with special chairs (ie. taxicab, fire engine, police car) - my bigger kids sat in normal chairs but enjoyed watching tv as they got their haircut. My family was sad when Yellow Balloon closed. My son is a pandemic baby so he hasn't had much interaction with the outside world. His first haircut was at Yellow Balloon and was done by Alma. When Yellow Balloon closed, we weren't sure where to take my son for his next haircut. Discovered Bubble Cuts on Yelp, noticed it was the same address, so I made an appointment for my son. We were so happy to see that Alma was still there. She is so patient and does a great job on my son who cannot keep still during haircuts. Will continue to bring my son here for his future haircuts. My son has come to Bubble Cuts several times and they always give him a great haircut. He is autistic and they are kind and compassionate with him. Most recently I came near close and it was busy, so I left but he left his water bottle there. My son freaked out and had a meltdown when he left it. Alma listened to me and gave me suggestions on how many inches off the back, sides and tops along with layering and thinning to get the look we wanted. We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in! Very different from a previous place we had originally walked into. Alma did such an amazing job with my daughter who is 14 months old and was having her first haircut. She even put Ms Rachel on for her which we greatly appreciated. 2 years ago, we went to a different kids' haircut place and had a horrible experience. It took us 2 years to try to get a haircut again. My Marcus is autistic and something as simple as a haircut can be a struggle to him for a lot of reasons. I saw Bubble Cuts through Yelp and saw good reviews, so I thought it's worth a try. The place looks so clean and adorable. The waiting area had nice books and toys that eased up Marcus while waiting. We went there for a walk-in, and they were able to squeeze us in. I went ahead and gave Alma a heads up regarding Marcus being autistic and does not really follow instructions and can be sensitive to a lot of things. She said no problem and that she'll do it as quickly as she could. She instructed us what to do, and she started cutting and calming Marcus at the same time. It was a struggle, Marcus was crying, screaming, and resisting, but Alma was very patient and kept on instructing us to be able to assist her better. She was very careful and patient with Marcus and to us. We are so happy with Bubble Cuts Studio City and with Alma for ever being so patient. Over priced , the hairdresser charged us more money to , get this, shampoo my girls hair before cutting it (!!) and also tried to charge more cause there were some tangles in it (like... oh no you had to comb her hair??
