I recently took my 18 month old son to get his first hair cut. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I read how they offer a memorable first hair cut package which includes a certificate with his photo and a lock of hair. I lOVED that! Had to get that. I was so happy with how it came out. My son is currently in that tantrum throwing/needy for mama only stage. To say I was nervous is an understatement. I was expecting him to throw a fit. I was afraid to see how the stylist may react to this. To my delight, she was wonderful. Lina cut my son's hair, she was sooo good with him! She was gentle and kind as he did in fact throw a fit lol She patiently let us play with him in between the hair cut to calm him down. She suggested taking breaks and spoke to him sweetly. When that didn't work, she suggested taking him to the regular salon chairs so I can sit with him. He was still pretty distressed as the buzz noise from the clippers were freaking him out lol I knew the only way to calm him down was to nurse him. Lina was accommodating and was able to continue cutting his hair while I was nursing! How amazing is that! I appreciated that so much. The place is very clean and the decor is sure to catch any toddlers eye with their bright whimsical aesthetic. My son was excited to see the different car stations. We were able to pick which station we wanted which was cool! It was sanitized thoroughly right before we sat our little one. The station also had a plexiglass shield in between the others which was comforting. There was also a little tv for each spot & we were able to select Logan's favorite show, Cocomelon, to help settle him in. Carlos, who I believe may be the owner, was very welcoming and attentive from start to finish. He offered to take pictures of Logan with his phone to commemorate the experience. He kindly took several pictures and got great shots! He even offered to continue taking more if I wasn't satisfied with the ones he took. I was prepared to pay for the pictures as he was really doing a good job getting him to smile and took many photos but no charge for that at all! :) He even took pictures of myself with my baby and the rest of my family at the end. He sent me all the pictures right away. I for some reason cannot remember the name of the receptionist who took care of us, but she was also sweet and friendly. She offered lollipops to the boys at check out. Overall, the whole experience was everything I was hoping for. I am recommending this place to all my gfs/family members with children & We will be back! :) read more

I usually go to the location in Montrose but they were closed on Tuesday. I came here and at first I thought his hair looked great. But after a bath and it dried, it looks awful. Completely uneven at the top. The sides are also flaring out a bit. Some hairs are longer than the other. It looks like someone grabbed scissors and just had there way. What an awesome kids hair salon! Carlos, who I assumed was the owner was so friendly, as were the rest of the ladies there. He greeted us and checked us in for our appointment. My son choose the yellow taxi and Carlos immediately sanitized it and got it ready for him. Greta was the sweet Armenian lady who cut my sons hair. She did such a great job! She was very fast, but very detailed and careful. I really loved the vintage cars vibes and colors and design of the salon, so fun and inviting. Everything was very cute! I will definitely be back! Carlos who was running the salon that day was great to speak to over the phone even offered to let me park in the business parking spots if I couldn't find parking. (There is plenty of metered parking behind the building). They accommodated us quickly and my son got his hair cut by Ms. Deb or Ms. Deborah. She was the best!!!! Most amazing place! My son is 3 years old non verbal and has autism, Debra and greta have done his hair couple times now and they are very kind and patient with him. i am truly greatful for their patience and understanding. My son used to cry at other hair salons and not like hair cuts especially with his sensory meltdowns but debbie and greta have been so kind with him that now he doesn't cry at all and allows himself to get his cut every time we come in. With all the luck I've been having with getting my son a decent haircut, I was almost lost for hope. Found them on YELP and reviews were great, so we messaged and got a call back reply promptly. Booked the appointment and started to get ready. I received a call back regarding the parking situation where they have their usual lot and some parking meters alongside their street that are usually available but today, because of some filming, were blocked off- truly appreciated the forewarning there. Once we got to the place, my 2 year old picked his spot and Valerie took over- momma had to step back to let her do her thing- with the occasional managing hahaha. Valerie, our stylist was patient and professional. She listened, explained and did exactly what we intended for the 2yo with a mane that of an adult! We've had over 5 haircuts and all but one while visiting another state, turned out ok. She did not just cut and snip like most of the ones we've been to who were hurried and uninterested, she took her time, she even layered and used feathering scissors to give us what we had wanted for my son. We were so so pleased! My little one got a balloon (we gracefully declined the lollipop offer but they give them as well) and he chatted on the way home about his experience- his haircut, the video he was watching and the firetruck he sat on- clearly we had an awesome experience! I'm going to give this place 3 stars because we've been here a few times and they've always been pretty nice and accommodating. Yesterday, we came in with an appointment for 3:30 made on the phone the day before thinking we were set. We understand that with new covid restrictions things might be different so if we had to wait so be it. However, when we checked in we were told that our appointment couldn't be found. I'd also like to point out that we were there 10 minutes before our scheduled time, walked in and 1 child was being worked on and another one just finishing and no one else in line except another lady who was a "walk-in". We were told to wait to see what happened with our appointment so we did (maybe 5-10 minutes) and a couple more people show up WITH appointments at 3:30 that were confirmed. Finally the receptionist came and informed me that our appointment cannot be found and that 2 confirmed appointments were there and that pretty much they were going to be serviced first before us. I kindly responded and just let the receptionist know that we had called in our reservation the day before but she replied with "it wasn't me that took the reservation so I don't know." ok great! Problem solved! I'm a very patient person so we waited for a little bit but then I started to realize we probably wouldn't be served for maybe another half an hr or so and they were already running behind. I get it I truly do and if I didn't have plans later that night I probably would've waited it out. We walked out 25 minutes from the time we walked in. I will come back here because I still think they do an awesome job with the kids but I just felt that we should've been acknowledged a little better. It wasn't our fault that our reservation wasn't properly put in their system and I understand that happens too, but maybe for mistakes like that they can prioritize the mistake on the staff's part and squeeze in this reservation before the walk-in that came AFTER us. I don't know why that didn't happen. And also apologize for the mistake instead of the "it wasn't me" explanation. I truly respect this business, but it was just a little frustrating to be waiting around for nothing on our already busy schedule that day. This place is AMAZING. After a horrible first haircut experience at another children's salon for my twins, I was very hesitant to have their hair cut again. Saw bubble cuts on yelp and read all the great reviews so I messaged to make an appointment. Carlos, the owner, replied immediately. I voiced my concern about how my girls were pretty much traumatized after their first haircut and he reassured me that he and his staff would do their best to make my girls feel comfortable. After finalizing an appointment, I had to reschedule last minute because of work and he was still very understanding and flexible, which I truly appreciated. When we got there, the salon was very clean and fun full of bright colors and toys. Carlos encouraged us to have the girls play with the toys and walk around so they get comfortable. When it was time to get their haircuts, one of my twins cried but the stylists MIGI & DEBRA were absolutely AMAZING. they were PATIENT and incredibly nice and my girls stopped crying within a few mins. Ms. Deb took good care of our 3 year old, curly haired daughter for her first haircut which was just a trim. Our daughter was skeptical, but calm and enjoyed watching Dinosaur Train for the 20 minute cut. Ms. Deb gave us plenty of tips and tricks for maintaining healthy hair on a toddler. Took my son here for his first haircut. He left looking like Jake Gyllenhaal. But not the attractive version of his adult life, like the character from the 2001 film "Bubble Boy". In other words, his hair was choppy, uneven, and despite not seeing a bowl anywhere nearby, he ended up with a slight bowl cut. Must have been a crazy, rambunctious, or terrified kid that couldn't sit still right? No. His cosmetologist was given easy-mode. A kid that was happy to turn the steering wheel and watch cartoons. I was warned by my barber that this might happen. That the pictures would be super cute and that he would have a good time, but that the results would be not quite what I was hoping for. This was exactly the case. The pictures are cute and the little cars are exciting for kids. But wow, the final shape of the cut was just awful. So for the good aspects of this place, I will give it a star in addition to the default one. I don't know if we just got the wrong stylist (and I won't mention names here), but this experience resulted in fantastic pictures and a lot of regretful tears. We are waiting for his hair to grow out and have a barber fix it. I didn't want to write an angry revenge review, so I hope that this doesn't come off that way. But I did want to inject a little comedy into our otherwise unfortunate situation. And hopefully those that are considering this location might better way their options with more information. read more

We used to really like this place and the design is so thoughtful and great for kids. Unfortunately, they do not require their employees to be vaccinated for Covid. One of the hair stylists told us she was not vaccinated when we asked. Also, if you notice none of the kids are wearing masks in the pics below, that's because they ask kids to take their masks off during the cut. My 3 year old is great about wearing his and I don't understand why it's necessary for him to remove his during a haircut. I know people have different feelings about kids and masks, but feels like something to know when coming here if that matters to you. read more

I have been searching for a place to cut my son's hair that is more kid oriented and I'm happy to say we have found it here. Bubble Cuts made me feel comfortable with their added safety measures which was a big concern having a 1 1/2 year old in this Covid Pandemic. There's Plexi glass between stations to enforce social distancing. The hair dresser was wearing a mask and checked our temperatures for added measures and we were required to wear masks which made me feel so comfortable taking my son there. They have TV's in each station and gladly put on my son's favorite show to keep him distracted. The seats are old push cars which I couldn't have loved more. The hair dresser was fast, efficient, and patient with my son and I couldn't be happier with his hair cut. The owner made us feel very welcome and I'm so happy we found this shop! read more
