Kids have fun, but... 1) PUT SIGNS UP BY THE MASSAGE CHAIRS…read moreso that people know not to sit in chairs without paying! Making the chairs produce some annoying, distant sound doesn't stop "squatters" because they don't know that they're the reason for the incessant beeping! The shrill beeps seem like they're coming from somewhere far away, so when I sat in one of the chairs, another customer (NOT even an employee) was forced to graciously inform me that, to make the beeping stop, I had to pay for a massage, or move away. I was mortified, as well as infuriated that Urban Air didn't bother to post signs with this basic information. From then on, for at least 50% of every trip to Urban Air, I've heard the stupid, continuous beeping. Each time I look over to find the culprit, I see the noise pollution is caused by oblivious parents scrolling away on their phones, as they luxuriate in the comfort of these ill-designed chairs. The chairs keep screeching their obnoxious and passive-aggressive rejection of "free rides" for patrons, meanwhile failing to inform them of desired course of action. God, it makes this place a living h*ll... 2) PROVIDE MORE OUTLETS for working and non-working parents alike, who need to charge devices. The location that my children force me to frequent provides ONE outlet, under a booth table. If you don't snag the booth, forget your charging needs! Listen: No one wants to sit for 2-3 hours with a dying device, unable to their check email. If you don't bring a fully charged device, you can expect it to die sometime during the visit. There should be outlets next to each seating area along the walls. The answer is insanely simple -- if you want parents who are willing to bring their kids to Urban Air, make the parents happy.

Game Worlds is a camp where kids learn the skills needed to make their very own video games…read more Real-world game developers guide kids through a crash course into how games are made, and help students bring their vision to life through practical skills such as digital art, audio engineering, programming, design, testing, writing, and business presentation. During one week Game Worlds summer camps attendees create games and at the end of the week can pitch the video game. Yesterday, Thing One came here for a birthday party (not a camp) and was able to play a game that was designed for up to 8 players. He also got to look at the D&D themed game room, and the game design room while there. We both met with Jennifer Noonan, the Co-Owner who explained the skills children can learn while attending camp and the tools children used to build these skills. Thing One enjoyed himself in the 4 hours there as he was able to explore the different gaming rooms and learn more about game design. He was also pleased to learn that Magic: The Gathering is played here on the weekend, which is one of his favorite games. This business serves as a great place to throw a teen's birthday party as it provides a large safe space for kids to game and is more intimate than some of the larger game-themed event spaces. #supportlocal Camp Info: Ages 8-18 When: 8:00am -5:00pm, Monday-Friday $695 per week

The rink itself is old and cracked. Most of the arcade games do not even work. No issues with the service but the facility is extremely run down and just feels sad. For $38 PP, we booked the Pirates of Tortuga room about two hours ahead of game time and lucked out with having the room all to ourselves. Parking is easy on a Saturday afternoon for this very convenient location. Compared to the many other rooms we've played in and outside of town, this one was pretty mid. I liked the general flow of the room but thought production value really dampened the overall experience and made it less immersive. Mechanics/equipment of the puzzles were worn down or finicky, decorations were minimal, and service was lackluster - felt a bit like we were being hurried into and out of the room. It would definitely help to have more lighting in the room, too. That said, there were some interesting puzzles that tickled my brain and required good ol' teamwork with the husband. The lobby and bathrooms were well maintained which is always nice. We may return for a different room!

We came for a family member's birthday, and she made sure my daughter who was 10 y/o was able to go…read morewhich she was. It was a little distance from S. Austin to this location and when you pull in it is a little sketchy from the outside. You will not be disappointed once you go in. She reserved the smash room and prior to the room you are fitted for the outfits to smash in. You wear them over your clothes so we were looking like construction workers. When we got in the room they asked if we had any music request and were able to Bluetooth it. They go over the rules and you will get I believe 3 warnings and I will say my daughter got a warning for dropping the mallet. They have everything you need to smash and you are able to bring in items also. The people who reserved it after us brought in a bunch due to bulk pick up just happening. Something to think about if you choose to go. I intended to go back with just my daughter and do the paint room and other things they had but we haven't made it back since. Hopefully we will go again in the future.

On 1/29, my best friend and I booked a rage room to celebrate her birthday and release some stress…read more Unfortunately, the experience ended up being more stressful than cathartic. The reservation was made earlier in the week. We arrived at 12:20 PM, 10 minutes before our scheduled time, and found the door locked with no staff present. No signage, no response. When my friend called the listed phone number, a man answered and said he was stuck on the south side of San Marcos due to an accident and would arrive in 15 minutes. He showed up 30 minutes later. When he arrived, he brought an elderly woman and two dogs. One of the dogs immediately jumped out of the car and approached us in a parking lot that was visibly covered in broken glass. This felt unsafe and irresponsible, especially for the animals. He let us inside and offered "free upgrades" to make up for the delay. That goodwill disappeared quickly once we saw the condition of the facility. The interior looked nothing like the photos or walkthrough shown on their website. The space was run-down, messy, and felt genuinely unsafe--more abandoned than operational. Upstairs, we were shown lockers and dirty, visibly used coveralls that we were expected to wear over our clothes. The rage room itself was already filled with debris and leftover broken items from previous groups--far beyond what would be expected or safe. It was clear the room had not been cleaned or reset. He then told us he planned to clean the room while we were outside doing our "upgraded activity," which turned out to be smashing printers because he did not want to carry them upstairs himself. We asked what the plan would have been if he had arrived on time. Rather than answering directly, he became defensive and said he expected us to be "more understanding." At that point, it was clear there was no preparation or plan in place. We decided we were not comfortable continuing and requested a refund. He appeared relieved by this decision. As we were leaving, the elderly woman followed us outside and attempted to show us an email claiming they had notified us earlier that they would be late. She said she could not call because they did not have our phone number. If your booking system does not collect phone numbers, that is a flaw in your process--not the customer's responsibility. I strongly recommend avoiding this business. The concept has potential, but the execution, cleanliness, safety standards, and professionalism were severely lacking. I would be genuinely concerned about someone getting hurt--person or animal--if conditions remain this way.
