Pork was so good with such a nice smoke flavor that I didn't put any sauce on it at all. Ribs were good but needed sauce tender. Mac & cheese is excellent as are the green beans. I have lived in Spartanburg for 37 years and have probably ate at almost every bbq establishment in the area. Bubbas has to be one of the best imo. This place is down to earth and has mighty good food. If you like ribs or bbq, then you must come here. They have a pick 2 or 3 plate. If you get 3, add the smoked sausage. It's all good. I got the B&B combo to go. The BBQ is very good. The sauces were so hot I could not eat them. Mustard and BBQ, I have NEVER had mustard sauce or even just regular be just like straight cayenne. No flavor just fire. My calabash chix (just two pieces of breast meat dunked in flour and fried) was smashed down in my cole slaw so it was soggy and cold and disgusting. My macaroni had a giant (well most of it was) burned - either the top or bottom of the pan. Cole slaw - regular kind- was good. Tasted like KFC's. Nothing exceptional, but good. I called them when I got home to ask if I asked for the wrong sauce, or if they had a normal - not fire breathing sauce. She said that's all they have except a smoky one that is spicy too. She said everyone just LOVES their sauces. I told her about my chicken being all soggy and she "oh" - not I'm sorry or we usually package to differently, not I'm sorry about the sauces. Just oh, ok bye. S0 there's the customer service, it was almost $10 .00. If I ever do back I'll just get some nice BBQ and put my own sauce on it at home. read more

Delicious food and great prices! Hush puppies are sooooo good! Only complaint.. There was an older lady there that was a little short with me when I asked for a bun and kept saying that it was "going to be 35 cents!" So glad Spartanburg finally has a really great barbecue restaurant!! My husband and I went there tonight for supper. The pulled pork had a great smoke flavor and was super juicy. I got the bbq plate with macaroni pie and seasoned fries, both of which were delicious. I love macaroni with bbq. It was the old fashioned kind. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. I loved it. My husband said the baked beans weren't anything special. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some great bbq. read more

First taste of Carolina bbq ( I just moved here from north Georgia) it was ok I've had better I think it's the sauce I got the sweet which was good I think if I had mixed the sweet sauce with mustard based spicy sauce I would have liked it better I will eat here again for sure. The lady that waited on me was not helpful at all and bordered on being rude not sure what's going on with that maybe having a bad day so I'm going back soon to try it again and see if that's what it was. This is a great little BBQ place! I come to Spartanburg for business fairly often and this is on the list of places I try to visit each time. It's right near the Hampton Inn where I stay and they have drive through window making this a quick pit stop. I get the smoked pork which is delicious. I like it with both of the BBQ sauces, the yellow being a bit spicier. The hush puppies are perfect, the mashed potatoes super creamy and a bit unique. My only complaint is that they are only open till 8:00pm, but that may just be an issue with me being a late eater and with the time difference from traveling. read more

Lots of great stuff on this menu. People are super friendly. Red checked tablecloth's on all the tables and a mini Coke Freestyle machine. But the ribs - the ribs were unbelievable. If you go with a group, even if you're going to order something else, order a half a rack of ribs to share. Tender, smoky, flavorful - great bark, great smoke ring. So I head to Sptg from Landrum to get some pulled pork from Bubbas, where we know it will be excellent ! After paying and getting my 1/2 lb er of pork, I check in the bag. Only 2 tiny containers of sauce. So I wait a couple of minutes hoping the little dude will come back to the window, he doesn't and then pull back around thinking that husband said to get enough sauce before I left! Gotta tell you this guy who's at the drive thru window is NOT the face of Bubba's. I think he was the sauce police. When I asked for some-that's plural in this sense right, he gives me this look that's a borderline sneer. He brings me one more tiny container! I'm thinking, is he serious right now! So I ask could I just buy some? He sneers again and has to ask someone about the price. A $1.09 later he gives me four more. Yay! Ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Plate with Potato Salad & the BBQ Slaw. Came with 3 Hush Puppies. Never had Slaw BBQ before but was good, Potato Salad was good too.
