We had a very bad experience with Bubba's Appliance. They charged us $400 total to diagnose and "repair" our refrigerator, but the issue was never fixed and returned within days. After taking our money, they stopped responding to our calls and we have been unable to reach anyone for a resolution. Based on our experience and similar stories from others in the community, this feels extremely unprofessional and misleading. Be very cautious before using this company. read more

Refund for ordering motherboard to repair our whirlpool dishwasher from June, 21 2025. (The day Stephen Halbert stood in our house when the payment was made) If you want to settle this claim like an honest business owner refund the money & our business is over. Or have the professionalism to call my cell. I have ALL documents in hand to take to the Better Business Bureau tomorrow. I don't think we need to handle this that way. Just refund the $300.00 Corbin Halbert via PayPal so we can move forward & part ways. Aug, 03, 2025 read more

Wow I am disappointed with the negative reviews with this business. I had a guy come out last fall help me with my washer. He did the research found out the major part was still under warranty. But due to the fact the item wouldn't arrive for 2weeks I decided not to repair. Just called Bubbas last week with a freezer icing over. I sent him photos he diagnosed my issue then he proceeds to tell me the easy fix to repair or he could come and repair for a price. I chose of course to do this easy fix myself. I've never met a business that would give FREE advice. I Will CALL AGAIN. Angela Roberts. read more

Well, like so many others, I was dupped into getting my frig repaired by Stephen who apparently does not know how to solder using a braising torch and silver solder. You would not believe the mess he has left behind. He used pieces of copper tubing that do not belong in a frig. After he said he was finished, I paid him and even gave him an extra $100 bucks. Two days later and after spending over $1,000 I have a non-working frig. Thank You ! Stephen. I am now blocked from his phone as he states I talked down to him by saying it appears he is not responding to calls. I have been without a frig since Christmas eve. I blame myself for being too trusting in fellow men. It will take some time before I trust a repair person in the future. Again, you can thank Stephen. I am getting ready to file a small claims case against him and his company. He thinks he can get away from it all by not giving receipts, however, I have text messages that the Judge should be interested in making his or her determination as to who is right. I implore you not to use Bubbas or at the least do not let Stephen work on your refrigerator. Otherwise I think he is probably an okay guy. read more

Dishonest and unreliable. They did a repair on a refrigerator for us. The part they charged us for was used from another appliance. They also damaged the Freon line. We were going to replace the unit and they never showed up at the scheduled time and never returned calls or text messages. We are having to file suit against them for damages. read more

My landlord contacted this company to repair my stove. I waited two weeks before calling to see if the parts they ordered had come in. I was told yes by a young man named Corbin, and that they would be there the following Monday. I requested to have them come on Tuesday instead because I had something else come up and wanted to knock out two birds with one stone instead of having to miss two days of work and was told that was not possible. At four o'clock on the scheduled Monday, I text Corbin to make sure they are still coming and was told they will be here Tuesday instead. After I voiced my annoyance at having been told Tuesday was not an option and now having to miss work again, I was told he would refund me. I explained that the refund should go to my landlord, not me, and that I did not need a refund, I simply needed them to be here when they say they will be here and fix the stove. I was then told that they do not enter houses of people who speak to them like they own them and that they will be wherever they want to be, whenever they want to be there. I was then told that I do not know how to speak to people. He then told my landlord he would refund the money and then refused to refund the money after all. This is very unprofessional and not at all how you do business. I do not recommend this company at all. read more

Good service and expertise. Called and left a voicemail on a Saturday morning regarding our dryer. I was surprised to get a call back within an hour, and then Steven was at my house 30 minutes later. He knew exactly what to fix and how - we'll-prepared and informative in explaining things as he worked. He also took a look at our washing machine without any request or prompting; just being conscientious. He noticed something off, fixed it with a part he had in his bag - no additional charge. Above and beyond. Very pleased with the value, speed, and quality. read more

I first contacted this business on 3/30/23. They came out on 3/31. They checked my ice maker and had me pay so they would order part. I noticed a few days later my frig was not cool. I kept waiting to hear back if part had come in. Finally called another appliance service to check my frig. They came out and said it was because the ice maker wasn't plugged back in so the fan that blows cool air to frig didn't work. I then called this company. They had lost all their books and didn't know anything about me. Finally after giving all my info they said they would come today to install my new part. When they got here I asked about frig he said oh I forgot to plug back in. I said I lost food and I pd another company yesterday. He said why didn't you call me? I said well y'all were taking so long to get my part to me I tried someone else. He said no he would not give me anything for my trouble. He never apologized for losing my info. Said it was dumb to notcall before 2 weeks. I then said you can't give me anything for my trouble. He then blew up called me a b____. Told his son to give me my money back minus a hundred dollars for them coming out. He was using f word often. Calling me a b___ several times. I've never been talked to that way and didn't think I was being unreasonable. They took icemaker and stormed out. I do not recommend this business at all. They were both using that language. read more

I am writing this review several days after my experience with Bubba's Appliance in order to be as level-headed as possible. And yet, I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. Long story short, they charged $100 as a service fee for 10 minutes of time only to determine that the washer was unfixable. Gave my mom the option of getting a $60 refund (what was the point of taking $100 in the first place if only $40 was the service fee) or paying another $100 for a used washer. Over the next _ten_ days, my mother tried repeatedly to contact Steven only to get voicemail every single time. This might just be an isolated incident, but their "customer service" is so poor that it's hard to imagine they hold onto many customers. I'd encourage you to save yourself the headache/frustration and find a different business for your appliance needs. read more

I am the assistant maintenance director of an assisted living facility in Beaumont, Texas. When our dryer went out, I called several appliance repair shops. All were either weeks out or unable to come at all. I was recommended Bubba's appliance in Lumberton and they did not disappoint. They came that afternoon, took their time, explained the cost of repair vs. purchasing a different dryer and even helped us search online for a better more durable dryer. He also diagnosed some dryer venting issues and offered sound solutions. I could not be more pleased with the service, Knowledge and professionalism of Bubba's appliance. I strongly recommend them Lyndon Glaesman read more

First off let me say I am not saying they aren't dependable or they don't do good work. I wouldn't really know. I contacted them 2 weeks ago to schedule someone to come to my house between 8am and noon today because that's when I would be in town and would be able to be at my flooded home. I had other appointments set for the same time frame. Our home is gutted and I needed to get the appliances looked at for insurance purposes. I tried to call twice this morning to confirm my appointment. I just received a call stating they wouldn't be here till 1 or later she couldn't guarantee what time. I know that seems like it shouldn't be a big deal but as stated my home is gutted I have no furniture to sit on and nothing to do. I purposely scheduled the appointments with this in mind. Had I know this was going to happen I would have chosen another company. I guess it doesn't do you any good to preschedule 2 weeks in advance. read more

I have used this appliance repair business multiple times for over a decade and have been VERY SATISFIED EVERY TIME! They have installed a new dishwasher, repaired refrigerators, washer and dryers, etc... for us. They have always been very prompt, professional, knowledgeable, SUPER FAST with the repairs and the price has always been VERY REASONABLE! They just finished replacing a worn out idler pulley on my dryer which requires the whole dryer to be dismantled and put back together and the whole process, from him calling to say he was on his way and should arrive in 10 minutes to him completing the job and leaving was less than an hour. I highly recommend this company! read more

I purchased a used, but less than 6 month old GE washer and dryer from a client of mine. After about 6 months of use the dryer began to give me problems. I would dry a load and it would work fine then when attempting to dry another load it simply would not come on. I called Bubba's on a Saturday morning and a gentleman named Steve answered the phone, he was in Beaumont on a much larger job, but reassured me he could squeeze me in sometime that day. He texted me around noon and said he was 10 minutes away. He showed up and troubleshot the problem in about 5 minutes, he did a temporary fix just to get it running then ordered the $11 part on Amazon right in front of me. He quoted me $80 which included the service call, the temporary fix, the $11 part, and the return on Tuesday to install the new part. I tried to pay him in full with cash at that point, but he refused to accept payment until the job was completed on Tuesday. Even then when I attempted to pay him with cash, he instructed me to call the office and pay over the phone with a credit card. Steve was polite, knowledgeable, informative and professional. The dryer is up and running and still working fine. Bob Hamilton read more

I called Bubba's appliance in Lumberton yesterday, and he sent his son (Stephen) to repair my frig. After one hour the son charged me $100, and told me it was fixed with a 30 day warranty. Not 24 hours later the same thing breaks. I called Stephen again, and he says it will be another $160. I question him as to way it isn't covered under the 30 day warranty. He cant explain to me why it is costing me anything. I tell him just to come on BECAUSE I NEED A WORKING FRIG, and then he says isn't going to come because I gave him a hard time about the warranty. Remember my story, and DO NOT EVER USE BUBBA'S APPLIANCE in Lumberton or his son STEPHEN'S APPLIANCE REPAIR. #bubbasappliance #robbery read more

I have used Bubba's Appliance in home service repeatedly and have been VERY pleased with the service. I just called to ask about the cost of replacing a lost dryer baffle on a really old dryer that is near the end of its life expectancy, which would have been a $60 cost, the guy recommended that I just see if the two current baffles would work, which keeps him from getting the business, but saves me from paying for something that I don't need. read more
