And also different business openings. lol The Pint House came in like lucky clover when even early on a Wed summer night I found many restaurants closed. They also stayed open later than other offerings... about 8pm I wasn't looking to get rushed out of other places by 8:30... I eat slowly. Had an objectively solid but also between us "interesting" meal. Went for the ahi sandwich at $16 with your choice of sides. I put the bartender on the spot as one does and asked questions to really get the best side for me... Cajun fries it is! The interesting part of the sandwich other than a middle aged woman grubbing down in Yuma? Damn, you are hard to please but I'm here to do my best... well besides the sammy there was avocado... and ... cheese... and imma need you to lock in... cuzzzzzz ... apples.... Just rando apple slices with the avocado! It was good though! The Cajun fries were great. They have a bunch of beers on tap, which they damn well better with the name "the pint house" so I had a couple beers. It was a nice time, and the staff were friendly without being overly so. I wish I would have got the young ladies name who was a waitress but she deserves extra credit because she was not stressed when it got close to closing time. I was stressed though. Because I like to be up and out well before closing time. I want them to be able to close out and go home. If you're in Yuma give them a try because the food was legit and they have many beers. You'd almost have to come in and TRY to have a bad time to leave without a smile.

As I personally enjoy good wine and of course a bit of cheese, so it didn't take much convincing for me stroll into Old Town Wine Cellars Kim made the experience fantastic and we shared our stories about Santa Rosa, Napa and Paso Robles and before I knew it. We were swapping stories about our wine journeys, life and the places we've been. It's always nice meeting someone who shares the same appreciation for good wine and doesn't judge you for having strong opinions about grapes aging in stainless steel. I also really enjoyed hearing about the history of the building and how the space evolved into what it is today. As I have a design background so naturally I'm looking at the wine AND the entire space. Which apparently I can't turn that part of my brain off as I'm always searching for a creative outlet. Overall, the whole afternoon was just easy. Good wine, great conversation, a comfortable atmosphere and nowhere in between I did feel needed to rush off. I'm still finding my place in Yuma and figuring out the spots that feel like me. Old Town Wine Cellar made Yuma feel a little more like home that afternoon. I'll definitely be back. Had a great time at Bubba's 33. The atmosphere was awesome, perfect mix of sports bar energy and a laid-back vibe. Plenty of TVs, so it's a great spot to catch a game or hang out with friends. The food definitely delivered. The burgers were juicy and packed with flavor. Service was on point too. Staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. Overall, it's a great go-to spot for good food, cold drinks, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be back. read more

It's just not the type of environment I personally prefer because it was difficult to have a conversation at the table, but we decided to try it anyway. Our server was friendly, although it took a while before we were able to order our drinks and appetizer. We ordered the fried mozzarella as an appetizer, and it was hot, crispy, and very tasty. For our meal, I ordered a medium steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, while my husband had steak with green beans. The mashed potatoes were enjoyable and had a homemade texture with chunks of potato. Unfortunately, my steak was the biggest disappointment. I ordered it medium, expecting it to be juicy and pink in the center. After eating a couple of pieces, I realized it wasn't cooked the way I ordered it. When I cut into the middle, the steak was well done all the way through. It was dry and not what I expected. Our server brought the issue to management, but after waiting quite a while, we were initially told nothing could be done. We requested to speak with the manager, and after another wait, he came to our table. He offered to remake the steak, but we declined because we personally do not send food back to be remade. What was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. The manager explained that unfortunately things like this happen often and that they had recently remade another customer's meal without an issue. However, that wasn't really the point. We understand mistakes happen in restaurants. The issue is that the food should have been prepared the way it was ordered the first time. Hearing that mistakes happen "all the time" was not reassuring as a customer. It made the situation feel more like something to accept rather than an opportunity to acknowledge the mistake and make it right. We didn't ask for any type of discount, but when he asked, we showed our military ID and he gave us a military discount since they do offer that. We didn't want to ask for anything else, but he also gave us another five or ten percent, which we appreciated. The fried mozzarella appetizer was good, our server was polite, and some parts of the meal were enjoyable. However, the overcooked steak and the way the concern was handled left us disappointed. Overall, I'd give this visit 3 out of 5 stars. Mistakes happen, but how a restaurant responds makes a lasting impression. That stuff didn't really mean anything to us, and I don't think we'll be coming back.
