I ordered a Moscow Mule for one the drink was shaken when it's supposed to be stirred. The ginger was very over powering so I could not finish the drink. But seriously, the service is usually abysmal, the food is cheap bar food, and the selection of drinks is about as exciting as a zoo without animals. Ugh I only went because my mom had never been. I warned her of the bad service... Still the same, sadly. We waited on our server to check back several times and were ready to go by the time she did. We asked for the checks, which took another 10 minutes, had our credit cards ready to close out, then waited another 10 minutes to receive our receipts back. The drinks were too sweet. I'm giving this a 5 star based on their customer service and variety of different foods on the menu that are pretty delicious. We had a couple hiccups with one being our order but the manager Reagan was beyond friendly and really accommodating. Our server was extremely friendly as well. read more

We tried Bubba's on a bit of a whim, and were pleasantly surprised at the promptness of service, the quality of the drinks, and the food was fantastic! I had the fish and chips, and my wife had the southern fried chicken, and we both left stuffed. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu read more

Update: If I could give negative 5 stars I would. We have been ordering 2 meals a week from different restaurants during the COVID-19 crisis to try to help both the businesses and workers. Today we chose Bubba's and placed our order at 7:12 pm. My husband picked up our food at 7:30 and saw a box with each o our names so assumed everything was there. When he got home we discovered the box with my name only had pickles and onions and my Chicken Macncheese wasmissing. I call them at 7:45 and they tell me they tell me they are closing and are out of pasta so they can't help me. They offered 2 free meals later but that does nothing for us tonight. Excellent food. Pizza was fantastic. Chicken Salad with all the fixings and ranch dressing fabulous. Server was slightly slow. If I order a pizza bring plates ahead of time. We had to wait for plates and waited even longer for parm cheese and red pepper. Lastly, I forgot my prescription glasses on table, went back to get them and bus boy had thrown them in with dirty dishes. Really? Have they ever heard of lost and found. Horrible Hostess!! Approached hostess and asked for a table for two. The music was very loud so, I asked her to repeat herself regarding the wait and seating options. With attitude she says, "Wow!!!" and gives us the options (15 minute wait or bar area) We sit down to wait and not five minutes later a party of four walks through the door and she allows another waitress to walk up and seat them. I asked to speak with a manager and explain what occurred. She apologizes and says, "I'm working with a bunch of teenagers". Needless to say, we left. Our server was HORRIBLE, don't know his name because he never addressed it, after we asked if he could clean the table and for straws, he never did so, he slammed oh I'm sorry "brought" me my "side" salad but charged me for the big salad, even though I got a burger ‍ he had an attitude from the jump, like he didn't want to be there. I asked for the manager, I believe his name was Jose, he was very very understanding of the situation, and for someone who has worked in the restaurant business for 8 years I appreciate him taking care of us. We switched servers and that young lady was a breath of fresh air. I could also tell he was listening to every word I was telling the manager, and even when I asked to see a manager he ran over to another server to ask why I was asking for one. I hate to leave 2 stars (sorry) but simply have to for the food. Service was great, as always...however my food choices today proved to be wrong. I wasn't terribly hungry so I ordered the Fiesta dip. First it came out barely luke warm, I sent it back. They made me a new one, was very nice, but sadly disappointed in the taste. Tasted like hormel chili with a dollop of guacamole on top and some tomatoes. The menu states the dip has refried beans and fresh jalapeños layered in it to which mine didn't have either of these 2 ingredients. I was very disappointed. There are so many "sports bars" in San Antonio, and they all are not that much different. So, we walked into Bubba's with this attitude, and were pleasantly surprised. We really liked the place. They're right, 50 large TV screens, I could count 24 right from my seat. Many were simply reruns of old games. No big deal. Atmosphere, parking, prices, service, A/C, ambience all nice, but nothing special. Too many draft beer brands to choose from. Having said all of this, we really liked the food. Our Pepperoni pizza was one of the best we have had, including better than Dough's that I reviewed recently for the second time. Their burgers were huge and cheap. What is there not to like? For a chain restaurant this place is doing it right. The food, so far we have tried more than a couple menu items. First a couple were just okay and for us we probably will not have again... the 33 Buffalo Spicy Chicken Sandwich, meh, it is okay but not the best. The Mango lemon-aid was a little to sweet for me. They were a little slow but nothing to get worked up over we were not in a hurry. The waitress was so apologetic and we tried to reassure her we were fine with the wait... before long the manager and assistant manager were at our table and comp'd our meals. It was definitely a treat and we did not feel like it was in any way necessary but they just advised it was not acceptable to them to take that long with a simple lunch order. My burger was ok, husband's pizza was not good. Service was good. We were seated in the center with other booths. I had a light beaming in my eye from the "spot lights" on the ceiling. The music was far too loud, especially for a Sunday afternoon meal. The bar looks nice, there are TVs everywhere. It was not the place for us. We couldn't have a conversation sitting across the table from each other. Then to boot, they seated a screaming kid in booth right behind me. The traditional BBQ wings were just "ok". It's a dish that I wouldn't order again. To cap off the night the meaty-meaty pizza arrived but we sent it back to request that it cook a little more to add more crisp. The pizza arrived hand-tossed with fresh ingredients. In my opinion when it comes to food Bubba's 33 has formulated a comprehensive menu that, for the most part, does not disappoint. Great place to go watch sports on tv. This was our second time. We really like Texas Roadhouse, & we wanted to like Bubbas. It's only ok. The burgers are thick but lack the essence necessary to crave them. Their fries are toothpick fries. Not our favorite. If we decided to get the hot wings again (I doubt it) we will ask for them to be cooked long enough to be crispy. I don't like soft fatty skin. Also the blue cheese dressing is not that good, which is another reason we won't do wings here. Lastly, we ordered the pepperoni 12" pizza. Again, the only word I can use to describe the pizza is the same for all of their food ... ok. Everything was ok. However, my wife ordered a draft beer and got it in an ice-cold pint glass!
