Ya know i will be honest and say i didn't expect too much from Bubba's when i first saw it had newly opened. I hadn't heard anything about it prior so there was nothing to really intrigue me and i just kind of assumed it was another bar and grill that had opened up. Bubbas definitely surprised me and i know i will be back for more. Two things that won me over: 1) Crispy potatoes strings on my salad 2) Raspberry Chipotle wings When i hear Raspberry Chipotle on wings it does not sound appetizing at all but they came highly recommended by our waitress, i can't remember her name but she was fantastic and worked the bar area. Anyway, the flavor combo shocked me. It was literally the perfect offset of spicy and sweet. The drinks were on point and there are a lot of flavorful options to choose from on the menu. The onion ring appetizer was a very generous portion and the sauce that came with it was delish. I'm very disappointed with my experience here. My family and I came in for dinner, and while we were seated quickly, things went downhill from there. When we asked for water, we noticed large particles floating in one of the cups. Upon closer inspection, all of our water cups had visible bits of food and debris floating around. I asked our waitress to replace them, explaining the issue, and she mentioned that their cups were stained yellow. I understood the stains, but this wasn't about discoloration--there were literal chunks of dirt and debris we could pick out with our straws. When a different server brought fresh waters, we checked again, only to find more floating particles. At this point, my family and I were too disgusted to continue and decided to leave. When we informed the waitress, she barely seemed to care, just saying "OK." We asked to speak to the manager, who was quite young and simply apologized without offering a real solution. I asked if they could at least ensure the dishes were thoroughly washed for future customers. This experience was disappointing, and I hope they take feedback seriously to improve their cleanliness. read more

Been here a couple of times and sit in the bar area each time. It's separate from the dining area and it's great when they open garage-door style windows to let in the light and fresh air. The beers are cold and there are lots of cocktail options. I had the sangria but really wanted one of their frozen margarita concoctions. I've sampled a few of their appetizers and their giant onion rings are my favorite. I'll definitely try those again. And they make a GREAT fish and chips basket. Today is the Grand opening and we decided to walk in like the Elite Yelp rock stars we are! We were immediately greeted and seated and everyone was very friendly. They are using the QR code menus but you can ask for a real menu if you are feeling COVID daring!! They came by and offered us some free Garlic Knots to try for their grand opening but again they knew we were important and deserved the free knots. I will tell you they are super yummy. Crispy and buttery and shredded cheese. I would suggest it!! The dinner salad came with the Chipotle Chicken and shrimp pasta. Those are string potato chips on top of the salad. The pasta has a nice spicy sauce but not too hot. The fish and chips were perfect and the tartar sauce was one of the best i have had. They are a good traditional American cuisine. I really want to like this place but... Bubba's 33 emailed me a BOGO pizza coupon today. This made my 8 year old very happy as this is his favorite pizza place. After school we went in to Bubba's and ordered food and drink. The pizza here is unique and good. I showed my server the email offer for the pizza and he informed me that the manager on duty will have to decide if they would honor the coupon because we ordered everything but the drinks to go. He mentioned that some managers will honor coupons and some will not. I completely understand why a full service restaurant would present such coupons for dine-in only. Some guests might simply order a free pizza with a glass of water and walk away. That is not what we did though. We ordered an additional meal and bar beverages. Also the offer they sent me said nothing about either dine-in tor take out. The server informed me that Bubba's would not be honoring the offer for us today. And the manager who declined the offer couldn't come to our table to say so in person, only sending the server back to deliver the news. This is all in a practically empty restaurant at 4:30 in the afternoon. The offer THEY SENT ME via email is the only reason we chose to go to Bubba's today! The pull of sending out these offers in the first place is to generate business in the slow times. Which it almost did for us. What ended up happening was us cancelling our food order and leaving after paying for just the bar beverage. Both my son and I left the restaurant unhappy and are not likely to not return. We have driven past this place many times and finally decided to give it a try. We will definitely visit again. Phillip provided great service. We told him it was our first time there, and we gave a great overview of the menu. My daughter had a shrimp poor boy and really liked it. My wife had the chicken sandwich, which she liked. Her onion rings were great. I think we may all order them with our next visit. I had the fish and chips and would rank them them with some of the best I have had. Nice place. Looks more crowded than it was based on the parking. Kind of a bar / restaurant with televisions all around minus the dark. Was well lit which was nice. Good for tables of 6 (booths). Menu had a great variety of different foods and the cost was about what I would expect and not to crazy. Food was excellent. Usually okay with finding something but when the menu says "something for all" not really. Gave the 2 stars not for that. 2 stars are for slow service. Had to remind waitress for my drink order and was here 45 minutes before they took food order. 2 stars is generous. Definitely will come back for the drinks but will sit at the bar to get faster service. Update - discovered our waitress is the bartender too. They need about 5 ppl for bar only and have 2. This was our first time here and we will be back. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and that thing was huge! Nice thick pieces of bacon and fresh ground beef! The burger was great! What a great turn of luck for us as we were heading to another restaurant off 121 that turned out to be closed. Right next door I saw Bubba's, and being a football fan thought this would be an interesting place to watch the games and see how my Draft Kings team did today. I would say definitely an adult themed place as there's a pair of legs with butts to sit on in the waiting area. The wait staff dresses in jeans and collared black company shirts so not tacky at all. Their is a ring of TVs around the whole place and pretty much every game of that NFL session could be found from our booth, and probably every other booth as well. The hostess sat us and then told us the name of our server so I appreciate that kind of introduction and welcome. Danni took our drink orders, two waters and a couple of adult drinks, a Blue Ocean, and a Long Island Iced Tea. The drinks were pretty good. $4.00 for my LI Tea and $5.50 for my wife's drink. They were pretty good flavor and pretty honest pours with the liquor. The menu is fairly larger than I thought it would be for the normal sports bar. This place I think takes it to a higher level of sophistication though. Burgers with bacon grinds in them (we didn't try them this time but we will be back). Really full-scale menu from pizza, wings, Stromboli, fried chicken, salads.... We settled on the pizza because I asked a couple going out how the pizza was here and they said it was great. I think the one we got was called 33 Deluxe in 12" size. Had several meats and veggies on it so both my wife and I liked that. The crust was great. According to Danni, they have a wood-fired oven back there and I have to say that the crust was great. My only regret was that there were leftovers and while it was good for the after meal....it just wasn't as good as when it first hit the table. We also saw the size of the bacon grind burger...it comes with two patties and is like a tower so we decided to pass on that this time and ordered the boneless chicken wings instead. I aim to try the sunshine burger with a fried egg on top next time we visit. This place has the best boneless chicken wings I've had in quite a while, maybe ever. It was so tender you could see the juices coming out when you cut them. Came with a side of chunky bleu cheese dressing and my wife got a side of ranch. Both pretty good and better than the usual bottled stuff at other places. Could have exploded eating them all. They actually did reheat very well later. We got the two rubs versus the sauces. I just prefer that for less of a mess. My wife also ordered the half wedge salad. This was really great with fresh cut blue cheese chunks in it as well as onions and tomatoes. The bill altogether with drinks and all was about $46.00 which I think was more than reasonable considering the drinks and the big amounts of food. Our pizza would have been more than enough for us both. The salad was big enough for us to share. Each wing is about the size of golf-ball with good fry on them, so ordering 20 of them gave us a dinner meal and a few leftover for the next day's lunch. Only thing I noticed that was a little off was the front of house manager made a point to get to every table and introduce herself. Perhaps she thought she already hit ours but she never made it. Bubba's was a great bang for you buck! They're margaritas are can't beat price especially for the quantity. They do tend to run on the sweeter side but if you're okay with that they are great! We did not order food of their man menu but ordered a variety of appetizers instead. The appetizers were generic but reliable. 10/10 would recommend the rolls. Our waitress was amazing! I WAS a regular customer at Bubba's 33. The week of Christmas Eve, BOTH my wife and daughter called to check their holiday hours. We were told they would be closing at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. No worries. We arrived at 5:45 planning to have an early, 6 p.m. meal. We were greeted with a door sign that announced they were closing at 6 p.m. Three other groups of patrons were entering---only to walk away---they had all been told the closing time was 9 p.m. as well. Any business can set hours. That's not in question. The issue is that when you tell your customers you're open certain hours (especially holidays when there are limited options) then change your mind, it's an inconvenience and unprofessional. read more

We were happy to learn we were getting one in the metroplex and even more pleased when we went and found the Amarillo staff down here training our new crew! Was going to Top Golf in The Colony for a date night. However, the wait was long as I didn't make any reservations so we decided to go to Bubba's 33. My coworker told me that he went to the east Texas location and that their pizza was bomb! I just had to try it out! Upon arrival, the place was rocking but there was still ample of parking! Got greeted with friendly staff members and got seated promptly. They also got our drinks quickly as it was placed by the hostess. They displayed great team work here and that's how they make the experience wonderful! Our waiter greeted himself and ensured that we had drinks and if we wanted to try any appetizers. It was such a great service! We ordered wings, onion rings, pizza and a Stromboli. Everything came out correct and fresh!!! I myself had the pizza and it was really good!!! You'll have to try it out!
