Great service! Large menu with many choices. We opted for burgers. My husband ordered the bacon cheese burger with loaded tots and I had the Spicy Habanero Burger with strawberry and mango margaritas. Margaritas were very good and i loved the spicy habanero Burger. It had just enough warmth but, I didnt really find it spicy.

My friend recommended Bubba's 33 and he was so right! This restaurant has excellent food. I had the Bacon Grind Cheeseburger with Tater Tots. I didn't really taste the bacon that was supposed to be mixed in with the beef patty, but I definitely tasted the bacon slices that were laid across the top of the two patties. Besides the two patties, American cheese, and the bun, it came with Bubba sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion. I enjoyed it very much and it was very filling. The Tator Tots were crispy, seasoned perfectly for my taste, and delicious. I returned two days later and had the Chicken Tender platter with sides of seasoned fries and Mac & Cheese. The chicken tenders were very moist and I had their honey mustard dipping sauce. I would definitely recommend both dishes. On each visit the manager, Ash, stopped by to talk with us, ask how everything tasted, and to ensure we were satisfied. We were!! That is great customer service by a manager. Our servers on both visits were great. I don't know if we were lucky, but we never had to wait for a table, so being seated as soon as we walked in was wonderful. The inside of the restaurant is moderately loud, but not so loud that we had to shout to be heard across our table, and they have multiple televisions playing sports events. I am eager to return and try their other offerings.

Newly back in SA and lots of new places to eat to try! Wife found out thru social media that Bubbas's Monday Night special is $10 burgers! Any burgers! This was all well received by the fam- we each really enjoyed what we ordered. My wife got the one with the egg on top (forgot the name) , my son got the guacamole burger and so got the Patriot burger. This location is right off the freeway/ easy to find. Lots of parking. Definitely will be back on Mondays to try other burgers.

Bubba's is a good spot for burgers and pizza! Service is quick and efficient despite how busy they can get. They have great specials during the week that are usually a huge score! Drinks are tasty and the location is perfect!

LOCATION: Just off 410 West with their own building and plenty of parking. Nice place with similar chill vibes as Chili's, Willy's, or Buffalo Wild Wings. The beers, neon signs, sports on TV, etc make it a great hangout spot and more guy-friendly than a date night spot. Nice people as well at this location. FOOD: Burgers and fries are always the go-to. I love the classic double cheese or the smashburger. It gets juicer the more bites you take. Sunshine is also great. They have a versatile menu, but just like IHOP has steaks, some items are better than others. For apps, the cheese sticks, fried pickles, and onion rings are all pretty solid. The frier is just good here. OVERALL: Good place for simple food and a good time, but the burgers and fried apps definitely stand out.

This bubbas wasn't playing around when they said LOADED FRIES. This has too be the most worth it location so far. They are more consistent in the kitchen unlike 1604 location. I will drive past that one to come here because it's that big of a difference. Service is also consistent with kindness and speedy service. Go to this one!

New to SA- someone on a FB page said this place had burger night on Mondays so we headed over. Omg- so glad we did! Service was awesome. Our waitress was friendly and informative. All burgers were $10 - we each chose a diff one and a different fly. My burger had the egg on it- I asked for a medium egg and it came out PERFECT. I got the tots but my family got the fries-- and they got more fries than the amount of tots I got. But my tots were crispy- just the way I like them. Don't sleep on the Bubba's sauce. Definitely ask for some for dipping if your burger doesn't come with it.

Sad Salad shameful, Jim's Restaurant does better

The appetizers were OK, typical Bar Food....almost not worth mentioning. We had Salads chicken was fine and we order bacon bits which were scarce but they did cover the salad in these potato things which were gross. Waiter said it was fine and that I could pull them off.... Nice. I did and revealed quite a bit of ice-burg lettuce just getting a little brown.....maybe a free specs of bacon that costs extra.....they really push it also. I won't eat here again. Besides the place needing a really good cleaning..... everything. You'd probably be amazed how must dust you are eating when the air conditioning system starts blowing. Look at the picture frames and electrical outlets with power cords, blow up the picture and see. They don't bother cleaning the table sides or menu holders......YUCK So I tried with the on duty Manager in the ASH gray tshirt who I thought at first was the Dishwasher. He was Ok the first conversation, we told him we just wanted the table to be cleaned. They complied, took them twice though. The second conversation he listened but I could tell he couldn't care less, so I looked for reasons to not to call the Health Inspector and asked him for some??? He told me to call the Managing Partner and kinda laughed then walked off. I saw this place must be owned or Managed-by Texas Roadhouse...... what a shame, this place could be great !! It is NOT. Additional note: Restrooms were filthy and unattended, used paper all over and unattended trash overflowing. I just think this is a sign of poor Management at this location. Maybe some re-training is in order ?? The single bartender was also overwhelmed. Plenty of waitstaff checking phones, group talking where they could have been helping out other areas that needed attention. This is the Culebra and Loop 410 Location. I never had a problem at 1604 and Culebra/Shaenfield Rd. Location....... I just wanted to be clear.

Good food, lots of fun, friendly staff Kassidy is the best !

Good food, good prices, lots of fun, friendly staff. Good sports bar, tv's from every angle, good music ! Kassidy is the best !

Let's get straight to the point: this place is mid. And yes, I'm using that word deliberately, because nothing else fits better. I had been to this location a few years ago and remembered the food being pretty decent. But after my recent visit? I'm good on ever coming back. Maybe it's just a sign of the times--everything feels lower quality lately--but the food this time was straight-up mediocre. I ordered the Chicken Tender Dinner Plate. The tenders were okay--thick, with decent sauces--but the sides were where it all went downhill. I chose mac and cheese and fries. The fries were fine (hard to mess up fries), but the mac? Tasted like it came straight from a steamed bag. Barely any cheese, barely any flavor--just dry pasta shells with a little sad sauce. I expected something creamy, cheesy, maybe baked--not this lifeless filler. Speaking of filler, they loaded the plate with fries--classic trick to make up for a small protein portion. My family ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken Plate and Bubba's Signature 33 Pizza. The chicken looked slightly overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were bland and depressing. As for the pizza? Mostly bread and marinara. Cheese was scarce and awkwardly pooled in the center. Toppings like bell peppers were undercooked and added nothing. Honestly, Domino's tastes better, and that's saying something. Let's talk drinks. They'll absolutely try to rob you on drinks here--$6-$8 for what looked like powdered mix in water. Bar drinks had slightly more effort but still didn't justify the price. You're better off sticking to water and calling it a day. Service? Our waitress clearly wanted to be anywhere else, and it showed. Restrooms? Don't even go there--filthy. Not worth the price, the wait, or the disappointment. Unless every other option in town is on fire or closed, I won't be returning.

Food was terrible. Caribbean chicken, wings, pizza, and the Buffalo sandwich all had an awkward flavor. I'd recommend any other place.

FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more Woohoo! Been looking for chili cheese fries and happened upon a review for this place boasting fries with a homemade chili so we HAD TO stop in tonight. THE LOCATION: on the very end of a string of businesses in a strip mall that I've never been in before, so that was cool. Lots of parking, that'll never be an issue. And right off the 410. THE MENU: Burgers, dogs, Mexi-style munchies and a variety of frozen dessert-type items like shakes, frozen fruit concoctions and Italian ice. THE STAFF: I wasn't overwhelmed with a warm welcome and smiles, at least from the guys. Lol! They should really work on that. There was a sweet gal who ran out our food orders and she was great. THE FOOD: I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich deluxe with tots and a sweet tea. The grilled chicken was juicy and cooked well and the bun was lovely, slightly sweet and toasted. Overall, the sandwich could've used more flavor, like a creamy bbq spread and cheddar instead of the "Swiss" cheese that tasted more like American cheese. But overall, 7/10. The tots were extra crispy and the guy who took my order didn't take heed to my request for ranch. I was too lazy to get up again so I settled for ketchup. The sweet tea was nicely sweet and fresh, I'll be sipping this in my dreams. The hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries and an Oreo cookie shake. The burger looked good and he ate it quick, so there's that. This guy can EAT so it surprised us both when he slowed down fast after eating that burger. Lol! He kept saying how filling it was, but then he also killed a large shake before the food arrived, so there's that. He ate most of his chili cheese fries, leaving me a few bites to sample. Not bad. I order a Coco Haven frozen dessert to go and omg is this thing delightful! Vanilla ice cream and coconut Italian ice (?) with a blue snow cone-like syrup drizzled throughout. I loved the texture of what I believed to be Italian ice. Smooth and flaky, a perfect icy dessert. OVERALL: decent eatery, the hubby said we can go back (LOL!) Shockerrrrr! But I recommend the staff tries harder to make customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The next visit will be telling.

Overall, I'd say the atmosphere was the strongest part of the experience. We were staying at a nearby hotel, so being able to walk over was really convenient. We were greeted right away and seated within a few minutes, even though it looked like they were having a busy evening. The restaurant itself has a really fun atmosphere. There's a lot happening... sports memorabilia, photos, decorations, TVs, and plenty of people laughing and enjoying themselves. It has a very lively pub/sports-bar feel without being uncomfortable or overwhelming. I had never been to a 54th Street before, so I enjoyed taking everything in. For dinner, I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I chose it because it was one of the dishes I saw recommended over and over again. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment of the meal. The chicken was very thin, extremely overcooked, dry, and difficult to chew. It honestly reminded me more of a basic frozen chicken tender than a freshly prepared piece of chicken. It was covered in white gravy, but the gravy couldn't really save the chicken. Maybe it was just an off night, but based on how highly recommended this dish was, I expected much more. The mashed potatoes were good and the little buttered roll was fine, but neither was particularly memorable. The Brussels sprouts were actually one of the better parts of my meal. They had a sweet glaze and cranberries, with a scoop of a white, cheese-like sauce served alongside them. I'm not completely sure what the sauce was, but the combination was good. My daughter ordered the mac & cheese with bacon crumble. It was a pretty straightforward pasta with a house cheese sauce and bacon on top, but she ate about half of it, so I'd say it was definitely kid-approved. My other kiddo had a simple cheese quesadilla, which was good and exactly what he wanted. We also tried the fried pickles, and those were probably my favorite thing we ordered. The breading was really good, and I liked the seasoning it had a little bit of a spicy kick. A few of the pickles were slightly cold in the center, so they could have used a little more time in the fryer, but overall they were delicious. My only complaint was the very small amount of ranch that came with them. Overall, I think 54th Street has a great atmosphere and a fun, casual environment, but my particular meal didn't really live up to the recommendations I had seen. I'd be willing to come back if I'm ever in San Antonio again and try something different. I don't regret going, and I definitely wouldn't tell someone not to try it. I just wouldn't order the chicken fried chicken again. Maybe I caught them on an off night.

The restaurant was very busy! Our waitress was Leslie, who promptly took our order. We asked for the Corn Bread Muffins and Biscuits basket. She brought thee baskets with biscuits only! The biscuits were excellent! The corn bread took over 50 minutes to appear. THAT was NOT her fault. The kitchen, apparently was overwhelmed. I ordered the Catfish Plate with two sides; two fried pieces of Catfish and two sides, okra & Mac-N-Cheese! The service was excellent. The Catfish was nice and Crispy but the Mac-N-Cheese was not even warm and had some burnt pieces of something. I picked them out of the way and ate the side anyway. The Okra was not even warm and looked like it had been taken out of the Fryer before they turned brown and Crispy. When I bit into one it tasted just how it looked. Not good! My wife tasted it and she agreed "not good"! Still and all we tipped Leslie well (20%) and we enjoyed her "hustle" attitude. She kept track of her tables and never faltered with her beautiful Smile! My wife got the Grilled Chicken Caesar, and chicken tenders for our kids. Everything came out fresh and hot. No issues with how the food tasted at all. The only thing I wish was for more shrimp on the Po-Boy--don't get me wrong, it's still bomb and I would get it again, but I want to taste more shrimp than bread. Our guy this time was Alex, a charming and attentive guy who checked on us frequently, making sure our drinks were filled and we had what we needed. We ordered some of their fried onion bites and their fried pickles as an appetizer alongside our main meals. The travesty was that we were served our mains before our appetizer even came out. They were quick to bring us the appetizer after our meals came out, so it is what it is. For my main meal, I got their patty melt, which was sturdy with two thick slices of Texas toast, plenty of grilled onions (a must), and two patties. It was excellent. The fries served alongside were crispy and salty. As for the appetizers, I liked the crunch in their fried pickles, but did not like the onion bites. I like fried onion. I like grilled onions. I like onions, but the bites just felt overstuffed with onions to the point that it felt like I took a bite out of a raw one like an apple. I would go for the regular onion rings. The bar service is pretty nice. They have a solid selection of beers on draft plus bottles and cans, and the place's atmosphere is quite nice. Overall, I think it serves its purpose and it is a nice spot. I think the service flow is unique, but it actually works well that you've already ordered by the time you sit down, while still feeling somewhat like a real restaurant. A guy like Alex makes the experience worth a trip. Like every good icehouse, they just need a TouchTunes so I can terrorize the patrons with my terrible taste. RIYL: Burgers, Beers, and Bar Service
