Hey San Antonio! Bubba's 33 - San Antonio, TX is opening its third location in town located at 6930 West Loop 1604 North, San Antonio TX and officially opens Monday, April 5th. The first 100 tables will get a mystery pizza box with Random prizes such as free pizza for a year, free appetizers for a year, free burgers, etc. The Chicken Fried Chicken is heavenly! The Pizza was surprisingly incredible ( Highly recommend this ). Double cheeseburger was good, and you can't go wrong with the desserts such as the Oreo Brownie Sundae or Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae. I'd skip the layered Cheese fries & the Bacon Mac & Cheese. I personally wasn't a fan. I will say that the food definitely was a surprise. Bar & grills are a dime a dozen in San Antonio but the pride and time taken for each food item was very impressive. Bubba's 33 is consistently good and served great quality food at a decent price. Mondays and Tuesdays they have food specials that are worth visiting. This visit we had rhe Buffalo chicken pizza that was delicious. The crust is buttery and tender and the chicken and bleu cheese were a great combo. Our family came here for the first time. The service was very good. We mainly had burgers but my youngest had the chicken and bacon mac and cheese. One hot and spicy chicken sandwich and The rest of us all had classic cheeseburgers. We all said we would definitely eat here again. Everyone liked their burgers and the bubba sauce was a nice addition. The fire fries were spicy and had a nice heat to them. We honestly didn't have much to look forward to when we were going here. It was kind of last resort. Man we were WRONG. It has a very appealing vibe with lots of TV's and good music. Reminds me a lot of like a 54th street/roadhouse. The food was literally top notch. Not even one complaint. Taste, quality, price, freshness just all 10/10. I've been to this location quite a few times. I've had their salads, wings, burgers, philly and pizza. Unfortunately, on my last visit the food was gross. The wings didn't have the traditional buffalo flavor. They felt & tasted as if they were slow roasted. Not what I expect from hot wings. My sandwich came out so fast. The cheese on top wasn't even melted. After adding salt, pepper and some buffalo sauce, it still didn't taste good. While the food came out fast (and I mean super fast) i'd rather the kitchen work on putting out something worth my buck. Bubbas if you're reading this, please work on your kitchen. read more

Very clean establishment, fairly big with plenty of space. Only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated on a Sunday evening. The food was good, from the sample platter to the lasagna to the cheesecake. Great service, speedy as well. Def recommend this location and will come back. I've been to several different locations and have always been satisfied with the food and service. Today is one of the exceptions. They came out with a delicious Monte Cristo hot sandwich and few months ago. However, this location seems to not plan very well regarding the sandwich. I was told that the Monte Cristo had to be prepared the night before. I've come at various times and have been told that they are out. Today I attempted to order at 6pm and was told they were out. This is the 4th time I've been told they were out. Definitely poor planning on the kitchen manager's part. Not too mention the general manager as this wasn't an isolated incident. read more

Well well as usual Bubba's 33 doesn't seem to disappoint. II had my 1st experience at the Aurora coloradallocation but this review is based on the location in San Antonio Texas. For starters, there are $4 margaritas... something you can't Miss! We ordered The chorizo queso dip( That we never received our waitress forgot) and husband and I split a half-and-half pizza. I had the vegetarian half (I did ask for no tomatoes but they were on there- still delicious). The pizza was a little soggy but it was still as delicious as it always is. We also take home these strawberries and a chocolate type cheesecake which were to die for. read more

Yesterday the wife and I were out running errands and stepped into Bubba's 33 on Mother's Day during lunch. When we walked we were immediately greeted and the hostess presented my wife a rose for Mother's Day. Then we were ushered to our table. The place was moderately busy but the staff were on top of it. There were people from all walks of life enjoying the atmosphere, some were watching the ball games on tv and others were fellowshipping with the party they were with. Our waitress immediately greeted us and took our drink and appetizer order. The wife ordered a Spicy Margarita and I ordered the Triple Crown Margarita. Both margaritas were excellent. We ordered the crispy fried pickles as an appetizer and i think Bubba's makes the best fried pickles. We ordered the Dickie V pizza and it was pretty good. We'll visit again soon. read more

We really enjoyed our classic cheeseburgers. The beer was cold and fresh. Maddison was our waitress and she was very sweet and attentive. I have a shellfish allergy, and she checked and tripled checked to make sure they used a separate fryer for their seafood to ensure I was safe to eat French fries. Ever since Bubba's moved into our neighborhood, we have been fans. The food is delicious, the drinks are tasty and the service is friendly. What more could you ask for? Yes, of course! The atmosphere is amazing. With so many TVs this is a sports fan's dream. If not, we'll, you could always enjoy listening and watching music videos and CHIVETV. I just love it. The men like to hang out at the bar where there's always an attentive bartender. The family folk often sit in a cozy large (oxymoron, yes) booth where everyone can chat and have a good time. They are known for their burgers, pizza and wings, but also have a few dishes like lasagna which I am to try soon. They usually have $4 margaritas all day e'ry day, they small but potent. Food was excellent as always at Bubbas everywhere we tried them but our waitress basically dropped off our food and disappeared. She was suppose to be training a young man but he never came by either. No drink refills, no checking on food quality, no offer of desert-nada! We visited the 410 location on a very busy Saturday night. Using the online check-in feature we were quoted an hour wait. In total we likely waited about 1hr10min. Nothing too egregious given the time of night. When we were seated our server Garren came to the table almost immediately. The staff was working well together, runners bringing hot food, our server consistently refilling drinks, other servers pre-bussing our table. We ordered in bits and pieces, since we had 2 kids with us. Our food still came out quickly, fresh, and tasty. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the hostesses. I'm sure they bore the brunt of managing a very busy front of house, but they couldn't be bothered to make eye contact, say hello, or even acknowledge us when were spoken too. When we received our text that our table was ready, I went up greeted them and provided my name. The hostess said no words handed her partner a ticket, who then grabbed silverware and walked away without saying anything. There were two other families up there that had received a text so none of knew who should be following them. I had to ask if she was for us. It's the ACTUAL food where we had a problem. The wings, I think the wings you buy frozen from Walmart are better. I think they even given us all naked wings. The pizza was mediocre. I came in here because of the picture of their supreme pizza on google and their margaritas. Their margaritas were very tasty and so was the pizza. The ambiance is cool. It's a bit cold in there and that could've also been because I had two frozen margaritas. I think it's a bit cold. This was my first time and I'm extremely impressed. Mind you, the food is pretty typical bar food- definitely good but not anything super special. What absolutely stood out about this experience was the awesome customer service. We got very helpful service on a busy Sunday by two bartenders, Destiny and Iliana, who were very happy to answer all my questions. Twice during my time there, different managers came around to check that everything was fine. When I told one it was my first time there, she gave me a coupon and take out menu and some more information! [Drea] As someone in food service, this was fantastic service and the sort of place that I'll come back to because I feel taken care of, and like the focus really is on making people enjoy the experience.
