Dinner yesterday, 8/24/21 7:30pm Me and a buddy after golf. Arrived to a full parking lot and packed restaurant. Spied 2 seats at the bar that were open so away we went. My buddy went with boneless wings and a side of cheese fries. He mentioned it was his "go to" when eating here. He enjoyed them for sure. For me, I've only been here twice before. Pizza and a burger during those 2 previous visits, both were good. As for last night, I went with and absolutely enjoyed the turkey bacon sandwich, it was delicious! Sounds silly but likely one of the best hand-held sandwiches I've had in a long time! Turkey was thick and piled on as was the bacon, super thick full slices. Fries on the side were great too! The food came out a little slow, but remember the place was packed so we just enjoyed an extra beer. The service was great, super friendly girl as bartender. We have been twice over the past month (we live 40-ish miles away). Wekikely would have been before now, but didn't kjow about this location. We enjoy Bubba's 33 when we are in Fayetteville. Both times we came to the Gastonia store, we were there near opening time. We enjoyed pizza and burgers both times and have enough left over for dinner that night. The Spicy Habanero Burger is a large burger with just enough kick to remind you this is not some fast food place. The pepperoni pizza has the right amount of pepperoni and is cooked all the way through, which beats many places, especially at lunch time. Our servers were eager to make sure our orders were correct and promply delivered. There were plenty of TV's for sports fans, but might have been a little too loud during lunch, if you needed to have a more business-y lunch or just wanted to chat. The music video channel is what was playing both days. This is probably a preference thing and this is mine. When we go to Gastonia, we look forward to having another chance to try something great at Bubba's 33. read more

Over the years, I have been here many times. I have had many dishes including pasta, pizza, salads, and burgers. I have ordered out and have set down to have a meal. I rarely give anywhere 5 stars, but the food was so good. You could tell it was homemade. I got the mushroom burger and it was huge! It was absolutely delicious and I'm very picky with my burgers. The boneless wings were amazing. They had the perfect seasoning. If you love bread I would definitely get the garlic knots. All the food was delicious I got. The prices are good too. One of my favorite restaurants!! We drive an hour from our house to come eat here. The food is incredible!! We ordered the fried pickles for the first time and they were amazing!!! So thin and crispy!!! I really enjoy the fried chicken tenders with cheese fries and my husband loves the burgers! The atmosphere is so neat. Very Yummy!!!! The Chick Parmesan sub was the BEST I have! Never had one with pickles and It's wayyy better with pickles!!! My husband got the bacon avocado burger and it was so fresh and good! I had to meet my sister and told her I need something good to eat. This was our first time coming and I'm so glad we did! It was kind of loud, but it didn't bother us. If I could give the chicken wings 0 stars I would. They were more expensive than any other chicken wings at better restaurants and they were so thin and small barely any meat in them. They were so soggy from the sauce and being baked in the oven. Trash. Would not go back. read more

This was my second time at this establishment. I like the large menu and had hopes of trying a lot of options. As with my previous visit, I placed an online order. It gives instructions for curbside where someone should bring it out. Both times I had to go in and no one acknowledged my presence. Maybe I didn't do or go to the right place, but employees walked right by me without saying a word. After I finally received my order, this last time, I check it for accuracy in my car. Of course we had things missing. I go back in and go straight to the gentleman packing to go orders. He was very nice and asked me to wait right there while he got my missing items. While waiting, I witness a female server making drinks, iced tea, and adding lemons with her hands. I watched her and she did not make eye contact with me as she carried them out. I received my missing items and left. The food was just okay. I spent a good amount of money feeding 4 people. I'm not sure if I will visit again. read more

I forgot to have them take the cheddar cheese off which is my fault but I moved that out the way. to me the chili just really didn't have no flavor to it. They need to tweak the recipe. Very bland. came here at 3pm on a monday and the music was absolutely blasting loud through the whole restaurant. My sister and I could barely have a conversation. It was good other than that though! Our server Lauren was very good and was fast with our drinks and service through the meal. The service is outstanding shoutout to waitress name is James who served my family on Saturday, He was downright amazing and made sure my daughter's pizza was hot , checked on us frequently and kept our refreshments filled to the top and even shared a laugh with my family. This was my first time here but my husband's second. What I loved the most was the 80's and 90's music videos playing on some of the TV stations. They were pretty busy for 11am but we still received great service. I ordered the sunrise burger. The bacon was nice and crispy. They cooked my egg overhard as requested. My husband ordered the Shotgun Shrimp Po Boy sandwich. Nothing is spicy enough for him but he said it had good flavor. I meant to ask if their pickles were marinated with garlic. Avoid this place for online 'to go' orders because you'll be disappointed. I was looking forward to a family lunch that had been scheduled almost a week in advance. Someone had said the food here was really good and talked about the boneless wings. This is a new restaurant which was unknown to me. There are dozens of other options to choose from but I decided to order on-line here. I've not seen some of my family for 10 months and several were coming from distances as far away as Greensboro, Cherryville and Fort Mill SC. When I got the order, I asked Jade if everything was there. She handed me the receipt and said 'yes' everything is in the bag. There were also two boxes. By the time I got to the lunch location of course everyone is excited and looking forward to gather for a family lunch. That is when we discovered the 20 wings were missing. I called to the restaurant and talked to Jade and she said 'oh yeah, the wings are here'. It took about 20 minutes for me to get there and back with the wings. Of course it really threw a damper on the lunch and it was so easily avoided. I called later and talked to the Manager named Cam. He said we'll send you a voucher for a burger or something like that. There was no apology, no questions to clarify the situation to determine how a repeat of this incident could be avoided. I told him a burger was not going to create any positive feelings for me about my experience. He said 'OK', The other disappointing aspect of the experience was their web site for on-line orders. It does not work well. You never get an email confirming your order. You never get an email with the discounts and specials they advertise when you order. It also touts that you'll get a $5 voucher for future use if your order is more than $35.00. Our order was over $50.00 and there was no voucher. There are so many other options for 'to go' orders in Gastonia and on Franklin Blvd. I would recommend you choose them and not Bubba's 33. read more

How many times do they have to read my ticket when I pay extra for some blue cheese crumbles and not put them on my salad, I've held back from doing a Yelp, but from the racist dude runner with the glasses to the broccoli being cooked hard and to the couple of times that I have paid for some bleu cheese crumbles, I can understand when they are super packed but it was no one there and they still got it WRONG, I can't wait until I get home to see if my broccoli is hard or soft ughhhhh! Really cool place. I really like the vibe and the food here. It's a pretty busy place, but it could've been because I sent so close to the holiday. We had to wait for a table for about 45 mins, but once we got seated, everything flowed quickly. We ordered a few drinks, the chicken sandwich, a burger, and wings. Tonight was burger night, and they run a pretty good promotion that includes most of the burgers from the menu for $10. I got a side of onion rings as well. 1st timers and will give them two thumbs up! Everything was good. The onion rings were crispy, hot and delicious. The chili was very meaty and flavorful however it was luke warm, could have been better if served hotter but still pretty good. The Fried Chicken breast was seasoned perfectly. It was moist, not over cooked or dried out. Mashed potatoes were also good. Loved that sausage gravy! Last the wings. Flourless fried the way I like them. Again not fried too hard, just right so they still had that crispy crunch to them. Our server was wonderful. She made sure we were happy with our plates and did a great job checking back. The food was a solid 3-4, the service a solid 4-5 and the ambiance a solid 4. Overall the food was pretty good. We ordered garlic rolls for an appetizers and they were a solid 10! They were fluffy and buttery and just oh so yummy. The rest of the food was fine. I had California chicken and it came over rice. The chicken was pretty good but the rice was not. I'm not sure if there was some kind of watery sauce but the rice was soaked in it and did not taste good. My husband and one son had hamburger and they were huge. Frankly they were too big but appreciate that you got your money's worth. The fried were ok they said. My other son got a cheese pizza and he seemed to enjoy it. The service was pretty good but our waiter was also the bartender so when we needed something he got distracted a couple of times and forgot about it. The atmosphere is noisy and hard to have a conversation unless you're sitting next to the person. I liked that we could pay at our table and not have to hand someone our credit card.
