I finally have my husband going to Bubba's 33 too! The food and atmosphere is always great! My husband loves the fish and chips ,I like the burgers! Next time I will try the wings

They are always doing something for the community.

Wish we had a Bubbas closer to my location. We always enjoy everything we order from this location. Due to the distance I get take out. The food is ready when they say it will be ready. I like that I can pull up on the right side of the restaurant and wait for my food. I will continue to get food from Bubbas33. If you plan to go and eat inside come early. It stays busy!

Bubba's is an unexpected gem! My friend and I stopped after a roller skating session thinking it was probably going to be a a simple bar spot. We were shocked to see it was a full blown restaurant with really good drinks and food! Once entering, we were quickly greeted and seated at a table near a window, which was open and allowed for a nice breeze to come in. My friend ordered the creamy chipotle paste, which is a touch on the spicy side. Portion size was huge and could easily feed two people (or split in half for leftovers later). I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries - a tasty classic meal. Both of us really enjoyed our meals and service was equally as good. Manager came around during our meal to make sure everything was good. For drinks, I ordered the frozen mango margarita, which was delicious and huge! I could barely finish mine. All in all, we stumbled beyond a gem in Gastonia, and we'll for sure be back to try more options on the menu. The chicken n bacon Mac and cheese looked divine.

The service is top notch! At least it was in our experience. Our waitress (I believe her name was Harmony... the receipt had a different name so now I'm second guessing) was very nice and always checking on us without being overbearing. That can be tough to balance. She asked if we had ever been there before and then told us they were known for their big burgers and welcomed any questions. She kept our drinks filled and provided great service from start to finish. The manager even stopped by to give us a card for a free appetizer since she heard it was our first visit. She asked how our service was and we told her how great everything had been, and that our waitress deserves a raise. Truly, good service is hard to find anymore so it means that much more when you come across some and this place seems to value that. Probably why it is so popular and always busy. We ordered the poblano spinach dip while we looked over the menu. We had originally decided on the chorizo queso but changed our minds at the last minute. Next time, I would go with the queso. The spinach dip was good and they give you a lot, but it was rather thin and runny instead of creamy. It was also supposed to come with salsa but didn't. Which was fine since we ran out of chips before making it halfway through the dip. Our waitress was nice enough to bring us more, though. Overall, the appetizer was fine but not something I would order again given the other great options the menu has to offer. I ordered the Guacamole Bacon burger and the waitress was not kidding about how large they are! You don't realize just how big it will be until you see it for yourself. I would've been happy with half the size, honestly. I'm not one to usually like big burgers but the menu description of patties made with a blend of bacon and beef caught my eye. I believe these options are made with two patties so I may ask for one on the side next time. I couldn't open my mouth big enough to take a full bite lol. The flavors were delicious and everything seemed to be made fresh in house, which always takes it up a notch. I chose the fire fries for my side and loved how crispy they were. The spicy seasoning they use definitely has a kick but paired with some house-made ranch, it balances perfectly. Unfortunately, I had to box most of them to go since I couldn't even finish my burger. I'm hoping they will reheat well. Next time I will definitely have to pace myself better. My husband decided on the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and it was also pretty large. He's usually able to manage a big sandwich but even he had to tap out before it was all said and done. I tried a bite or two and enjoyed it as well. The pickles seem like they would be out of place when you first read the description but they work so well with the sauce and chicken! The sauce had great flavor and everything seemed fresh. His sandwich was actually steaming for the majority of the meal. Not sure it gets more fresh than that! He had the cheese fries that also looked great but I couldn't find room to try them. All in all, it was a great meal. The place was packed but there seemed to be plenty of staff to manage it. There's a lot of seats and parking but nearly every table and parking space was in use, and there was still a line waiting outside. This was somewhat of an odd hour too so I was surprised but after our meal and service, I can see why everyone chooses to eat here. Also, the prices are pretty reasonable considering the amount of food you get. It's almost cheaper than fast food at this point and much better use of the money, in my opinion. The only drawback I can really offer is how loud it is. Between the crowds of people and blaring music, this isn't the place to go when you want a quiet dining experience. And it's probably not the place to go if you're looking for something healthy. I'm sure they offer healthier options but let's face it, if you're wanting something like that, you're probably better off choosing a different restaurant. This place is serving up good ol' American gluttony on plates so it's definitely not somewhere to go regularly. Unless you're planning to make good choices, split plates, or take most of it home for another day. But if you're looking at these pictures and reviews, you probably already know what to expect so have at it, my friend! And ask for Harmony's section when you get there!

I was surprised to learn this is the sister business to Texas Roadhouse. Different menu but close to the same atmosphere.

Food was great and the service was absolutely awesome! The ambiance was okay but the table was a mess and the restroom was a catastrophe...

One downside was learning that pets are not allowed inside--even though they don't serve food--which is always a bit of a letdown for us. That said, Luna was welcome on the outdoor patio... unfortunately, it was about 20 degrees outside. We didn't let the cold ruin the experience, though. They have patio heaters and warm drinks available, which helped a lot. We grabbed comfy outdoor chairs right next to the Christmas tree, and the setting was really nice, especially with the water view just steps away. It never got overly busy, but there was a steady flow of people coming and going, which gave it a relaxed, lively feel without being crowded. We both ordered the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout (9.2% ABV), which was their only holiday beer available at the time--they mentioned they had another seasonal option but had already sold out. The beer was pretty good, though definitely strong. We actually left to check out the only other bar in town, but it turned out to be closed, so we circled back to The River Room for another round. Two gingerbread stouts came out to $14 total which felt very reasonable. They do charge a small membership fee (around $1) since it's a private club, and we were told that fee goes toward animal conservation, which is a nice bonus. Overall, despite the cold and the indoor pet restriction, we really enjoyed the ambiance, holiday decor, and relaxed vibe--and would definitely stop back again when the weather is warmer.

It said online it could take a couple days to get approved , but we had no problems just bringing him and his vaccinations. They seem strict about seeing vaccination history so I knew he would be safe and not get sick from other dogs! The check in process was quick and easy! Since it was not the best weather wise, it was only us and one other group there, but a friend said it does get crowded but never too crowded! They had a ton of picnic tables outside and beach volleyball courts. They have 2 sections outside, one is off leash and one is on leash. Inside is also on leash, so some options there! The bar is accessible no matter what section you are in, and they had a full bar. There were also some TVs inside with sports on. The facility seemed SO clean for a dog bar, I was impressed by that. The bartenders were also SO nice asking about our dog and his breed and making sure we had everything we needed. The facility seemed secure with lots of doors and magnetic locks so no dogs could escape. They did have brunch and it was delicious!!! I got the avacado toast. The egg was a tad salty but still very good! I would definitely go back!

The service was fine but our server was frazzled. It seemed they were light staffed, and it took a while to get our order and our drinks (which we could see sitting in the well). The food- the appetizers- they were great! Would eat the shrimp, crab dip and Brussels again. Shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, as were the Brussels. The entrees - not so much. Essentially everyone was eating raw, cold meat. Our one friend said the short rib was fine, but needed salt. Everyone else got some type of steak that was woefully underdone (as in we ordered medium, and got it flash seared). One friend described it as just chewy, raw meat. We also got a side of asparagus, and they were the saddest stalks I had ever seen - pale and mushy - and maybe 6 stalks for $8 - not worth it. After the food came, we couldn't find our server, but there was also a wedding party coming in to the upper space. Overall, I think they bit off more than they could chew that evening, and we were left chewing on undercooked meat and sad sides.

Our waiter was very friendly, constantly checking on us and keeping our drinks refilled. We ordered the lettuce wraps, Korean BBQ wings, grilled shrimp, filet mignon, spare ribs, and crème brûlée. Everything had great taste and flavor. The Korean BBQ wings and grilled shrimp had a really nice kick to them. Our bill came to about $130 for all the food (we only drank water), which felt fair for the quality and amount we ordered. You should definitely give it a try--we'll definitely be back!
