From the gentleman at the front to the hostess to the waiter everyone was super friendly, knowledgeable and gave wonderful service! This was my first time here and had a hard time choosing because there are so many good looking dishes I wanted to try. I had the seasoned salmon and it was so delicious!!! My husband had the Philly steak sandwich and it was also really good and loaded with meat. My daughter had the kids cheese pizza and it was also tasty. My first time going to this restaurant. They take your full name and cell phone number, so that they can text you when you are ready to be seated. This is complete nonsense because 1) The restaurant was barely half full, and 2) they do not need your "full name" to text you. So they are obviously obtaining your info for some marketing reason. I forgot to take a picture of my food, however I ordered the Buffalo wings and the kale quinoa salad. The salad was very good, however I asked for dressing on the side and it was put on the actual salad, plus a container on the side. The chicken wings unfortunately were not great at all. They clearly use grain-fed chickens, because the wings were larger than average and the meat was tougher, and the taste was just bad in general. If you are used to eating free range vegetarian fed chicken, You can tell a gigantic difference. As far as the atmosphere, it was fine. The music was a bit too loud, getting in the way of a normal conversation between two people sitting across from one another. The aisles are kind of thin, and you have the wait staff zipping by you and it's the type of aisles where you need to move out of the way if someone needs to pass by. Definitely noisy sports bar vibes! And I love that. Everyone was upbeat and friendly. We sat at the bar and loved our bar tenders Lesia and Mary Ellen (I'm sorry if I misspelled your names!) First off the food is good. That's really the only plus to my recent experience there. We were told a 10-minute wait. 20 minutes later we were seated and it took a while for the server to come over. She was very pleasant but it took about 30 minutes between being seated and getting my food (we ordered food at the same time as we ordered drinks). And then my friend's order was wrong so it was another 15 minutes until she got her correct burger. I was done eating by then so it was an awkward experience watching each other eat. I understand this is a different time and service won't necessarily be 100% right now. But this was ridiculous and really made me question if I will come back. Been to Bubbas 33 several times in Indianapolis, so was excited to give this one a try. Service was slow, took 10 minutes to get a server after seated, and then another 15 minutes to get our beers that were sitting at the bar waiting on Mariah to get them. The food is fairly good here though we had an unpleasant encounter with one of the employees. It was last week around 11:00 and we were the only customers in the restaurant. The music was blasting so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. We simply ask the waitress if the music could be lowered a little. She said the manager Tyler said no. A employee Ryan came over and offered to move us to a different location in the restaurant but we had just got our food and didn't want to move. He let us know that the music was loud for their target customer so they had to leave it up for them. He became angry and slapped his hand down on the divider behind us. Totally not called for. Again we are the only ones there. We eat here at least once a week for lunch. The wait staff is very nice here and ironically the music is good when not ear splitting. We were there on the afternoon of August 26th, 2024. We requested a high top table in the bar area. We were seated quickly as requested. We have been there many times, enjoy the atmosphere, and the food is usually great. However on this day, waitress was the only one in the bar area other than the bartender. I have seen her before and she is very attentive, usually. My brother ordered a beer, and he and my husband ordered the shotgun shrimp. My brother asked the waitress to ask the cook to make his exceptionally hot and spicy. Well...his tasted no different than my husbands order. Then he ordered a philly cheesesteak sandwhich, requested jalapeno's instead of green peppers. My husband and I had a really great time here at Bubba's 33 in Gastonia for the first time. We have been trying to go for a year but it's always so busy. So we discussed to try again today. Glad we did!! Ali our waitress did a phenomenal job. She took care of us in choosing our order and helped us pick our dessert out. Thank you Ali it was amazing. I even took a burger home and boy was it great. Wasn't disappointed at all!!!! Drinks are a must have when you are at Bubba's. My husband had the Chicken Parmesan Pasta (I think that's what it was called). I had the Seasoned Salmon Dinner. Everyone was so nice and kind. Atmosphere was different in a good way and great music, T.v's everywhere. Manager even came to our table to ask how everything was. He was really nice. So yummy! Everything we have ordered from this place is delicious! The fried pickles, chorizo queso, pizza, chicken wings, chicken sandwich. Wait staff was friendly,Food was good, not exactly what I ordered but, in the wait persons defense, the music was so loud I'm sure she couldn't hear exactly what was being said. The person seating us said they were known for being the loudest place in that shopping area. They have benches outside ( and speakers ) to wait but my friend and I walked to the far edge of the parking lot so we could hold a conversation.
