Cesar, the arborist that came to do the inspection and estimate for this work tried to do the pruning in a way that did no harm to any of the trees involved. One neighbor needed to have a 'weight reduction' on two trees as they were tall and swayed quite a bit in high winds. This service took about 15% off upper limbs, which also reduced the strain on the root system. There is a definite reduction of fear that these trees might come down in a bad storm. The other neighbor needed one 'dead' tree removed, and another live tree removed as it was leaning over a neighbor's property. The crew that did all of this work was there on time (actually early), Each worker was aware of the scope of work to be done. They were very efficient as each worker had an assigned task. The climbers used all of the safety equipment I could have imagined being necessary. Cleanup was very thorough, and left the properties in the same or better condition than when the job was started. Please note that Atlanta Arbor is covered with both liability as well as workers comp insurance coverage. I will certainly use them again as the need arises.

Bizarre & Creepy Experience!…read more Met with 4 tree service companies today... Each gave me specific time they'd arrive and all were on time (or close), except Mathew's. Initially annoying that they were the only ones that gave me a huge window for their eta... b/w 930-12 they said (like a cable company)... Then they show up at 12:20. I wasn't going to hold it against them, and didn't really care that much, as I just finished up an appointment at 12... But the guy who walked up on my lawn gave off such an attitude... Denied he was late at all, never even attempted a false apology...and when we shook hands he had this really creepy delayed release... Gave me the willies' ;-) After that, he surprised me more by started to try to up-sell me on testing all my trees for an extra "couple hundred bucks", but couldn't give me a reason why. Got the feeling he was arrogantly trying to assert his superior 'tree knowledge' in order to position his price - even though I had just told him that he was the 3rd company I'd met with this morning. Was a bizarre experience and I couldn't wait for him to leave. Lots of tree companies in Atlanta... I decided to go with Sharper Edge Tree Services. Price was right, very professional, and a positive experience.

The whole process was a fiasco & there is not enough room to write the whole story, I've put some examples below: -Arrived 2-3 hours later than what I was told -Crew argued loudly amongst themselves, made us uncomfortable -Rolled logs from tree down landscaped retaining wall. Cracked & chipped bricks and ruined plants -A "mason" came to fix wall, did not replace chipped bricks and mortar slopped on top of wall -Matthew yelled and hung up on me when I asked to have the wall redone. I was also told the chipped bricks were already there and the vegetation was going to grow over the wall anyway (it doesn't, we keep it trimmed) -Exorbitant pricing -Called me "hun" throughout process -Office people were rude -Had to call several times to get a call back and got rushed off the phone or hung up on more than once. -And last, but certainly not least, Matthew said he didn't care if I died from cancer. I assure you that everything above is true and I suggest you stay as far away from Matthew's Tree Service as possible.
