Their shrimp burrito is absolutely amazing. I came across this spot many years ago via yelp but never had the chance to experience until yesterday. I called in my order and was told it will be ready in 20 mins. I arrived 6 minutes after the conversation and my food was ready and packaged to go. I did notice they had outside seating but wasn't able to experience it. I had ordered two burritos and two tacos, although I felt their tacos weren't the best in flavor the burrito surely made up for that. Everything in the burrito tasted fresh and the shrimp were grilled to perfection. One thing I love is they use brown rice which is so much healthier but usually doesn't taste the best but in their burrito tastes better than I could ever imagine. Went to Bubba's Burrito Bar on a recommendation. Ok. It is a quick lunch and yeah an extra star for the young lady with the bling ring. Its fast food and fast order. You stand on line and either, check the website via cell phone QR or read the board above the counter. You order pay and get a receipt. 10 or so minutes later, your order is ready. Seating outside. Little tables and chairs in a nook and cranny narrow backyard. It works. Take the food from the bags with the plastic silverware and the bottles of drink, chips and salsa, and your are all set to eat. The special was a corn chowder. It actually tasted pretty good. The Surf and Turf- recommended by a worker there, wrapped in a burrito cover, was to say, ... ok. The steak meat was very chewy, the rice sticky and the sauce eh. So, ok it is a place to go and get a lunch. And, yeah, it was actually really busy with what seems to be a good following of people who enjoy this type of food. I fell in love with Bubba's Burrito Bar the day I looked at their menu and laid eyes on the Guilt Trip. Now I'm going to be honest, every time I go in here I tell myself I am going to order something different and every time i end up leaving with the guilt trip. So my review can only solely be based on that burrito and I'm really okay with that. The guilt trip is chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, fried potatoes, bacon, shredded cheese and sour cream wrapped up in a perfectly warm burrito. Let me tell you it is as AMAZING as it sounds! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Yesterday I went here to pick up dinner after work (after 6, typical dinner rush), and have nothing but great things to say. The lady who took my order was so sweet & accepting of any modification & me asking for extra sides of their sauces (if you know,you know). Even though they were receiving orders non stop, my order came out in less than 15 mins (unheard off in most restaurants during a rush). I proceeded to leave with my food, and took a nice 6ish min stroll back to my car, only to realize (once I walked ALL THE WAY BACK TO MY CAR), that the man who handed me my food was chasing after me to GIVE ME THE 1 OF MANY EXTRA SAUCES I ASKED TO HAVE ON THE SIDE, because they forgot to throw it in the bag. Very good tacos, burrito bowls and spicy crab chowder. Fish tacos are yummy (fried) and shrimp tacos are very good. The brotato burrito is quite filling as is the land and sea burrito . I like the fajita burrito as well. Atmosphere is casual, surfer feel, small bar and a bunch of different beers to choose from. Place can get quite busy but usually don't have to wait too long. In the summer there are tables so you can sit out front or in the back. Reasonably priced. read more

Bubbas.. You're hot, but more like dad bod hot because you're letting your age show these days. You're not the new kid on the block, but you're still the only California-mex/taco/burrito game in town*. Your interior seriously needs some fresh paint in some spots, the bathroom was nice at some point but now is more gross than preschoolers with colds, the back door is forever broken and orders get messed up. You're busy, things are forgotten it gets a little sloppy. I understand, it happens when you age. Somehow the lines are still to the door at times. I'm not sure if it's popularity, kitchen management or what. Just a warning that you'll be waiting some days because hordes or teenagers will come running in. Those pesky teens know what's up though - the food is downright tasty, and the burritos are just about the size of a baby or better yet, my mom's chihuahua.** Finishing one of those (with some chips) is a true testament of willpower AND serious stomach elasticity. One complaint though, most of it is rice. Okay, I know rice is essential to the burrito but I'd be willing to trade some for more beans. Still, for protein, there's shrimp or plain bean options for everything. As for the other grub, the chicken tacos hit the mark and the fish tacos would be perfect if they didn't drown them with sauce every time. This is my third time having Bubba's and I reallly enjoyed it! I had the guilt trip burrito and omg it was so so good. They wrap the burritos perfectly so nothing falls apart. Chicken was not chewy at all, bacon was very crispy , Plenty of sauce , even mozzarella sticks were in it. I would highly recommend this one. We also had the watermelon and regular margarita to go and they were strong and the watermelon was reallly good! Now that they did the expansion they have a big bar , plenty of room and seating. definitely worth the try ! read more

Can you believe I called and they picked up on the first ring? I was picking up for the office and had a large order, so I'm really glad they picked up. I've been to this place a couple times in the past and always got the Brotato, which promptly put me to sleep after eating it. So this time, I went with the Land and Sea. It's a burrito with steak and shimp with rice and a baja sauce. While not my favorite burrito, it was still very tasty. The beef was nicely seasoned, although just a tad bit dry. The shrimp were delicious and had a freshness to it that I appreciated. The problem with this burrito was the rice. The rice was also flavorful and teetering on the edge of being too salty. It was also just a bit undercooked. There was too much rice for how much steak and shrimp was given. So overall, it tasted like a rice burrito with some meat in it. This made for a really muddled, flat, and one-note experience. It didn't help that the baja sauce, while tasty on its own, was also really rich. The Land and Sea definitely needs something like a salsa or an acidic slaw to help offset the richness. In fact, I had some leftover green sauce from a halal plate I had the day before and ended up pouring it onto the burrito to give it some acidity and spice. I guess in the past, I just expect the Brotato to be super rich, so it never occurred to me that it was really an issue with balance and burrito components. I'll have to try one of their regular burritos or maybe just ask for some lettuce or salsa in the Land and Sea next time. read more

I love Bubbas. It is my happy place. I've been to Bubbas a handful of times. The burritos, tacos, and sides are always exceptional. Everytime I come here the place is a madhouse and I understand why. With options like Moe's and Chipotle around, why wouldn't you come here? The prices are comparable and the ingredients and uniqueness take this place over the edge. It is heaven. I love the shrimp tacos. Perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp with diced mango, pineapple, fresh cabbage, guacamole, and Baja sauce? It sounds like a lot but every bite is perfect. My husband never gets the burritos. He always gets a mess of tacos and they're always great. I've had many of the burritos on the menu. But my current favorite is the land and sea. Tender steak, juicy shrimp, rice, and Baja sauce. Tame compared to the rest of the menu but it's just so good. I also love the Bubba bow which is their version of cheese potatoes. They portion is huge for $4 and it's so good. Last visit they were missing 1 of the Bubba bowls from our order. This was after waiting almost 45 minutes for our food. The manager felt so bad he fixed the issue immediately and gave us a $10 gift certificate to make up for the issue. Now that's customer service. I always go out of my way to stop in to Bubba's whenever I'm in the area. Normally once every few months (but I wish it was more often). I had to write a review bc the last time I was there, my Land and Sea Burrito just felt extra fresh, loaded to the gills with shrimp and steak and that delicious baja sauce. Put some sriracha and cholula on it and its game over. Really...the land and sea burrito is so good, its the only thing I ever order. However, I am tempted to try some of their other options next time. Service is always friendly and quick. Nice selection of draft beers. It was a bit cramped and the tables are not stable. Wobbly tables are a peeve of mine which can easily be remedied by putting something under the base of the table. Unfortunately I don't live nearby so I'm not here as often as I'd like, but when I do come it never ever disappoints. The burritos are out of this world!! I'm lame so I always end up getting the Classic burrito, however my boyfriend luckily is more adventurous than me. He's tried almost all the signature burritos at this point, but his recommendation is the brotato!!! Also a personal fav of my brother so it's gotta be good! Steak, bacon, potatoes, and onion rings, all wrapped up in a nice burrito, can't get much better than that! But if you're like me and end up with a classic burrito like I do it really is the perfect mix of burrito ingredients they get it right every time!! Warning, odds of you getting through on the phone to place an order during peak times is very very slim. The last time we ordered my boyfriend called 37 times until he finally got through!!! (He was waiting to pick me up at the train otherwise we never would have wasted so much time calling) however if you do have to go to place your order in person it really isn't that long of a wait even if the line is to the door like it's been multiple times I've been there. I have really like this spot f or a few years now.They have a great assortment of IPA's and the workers are always very friendly.I live very close so waiting the extremely long delivery times..just insane.Parking on Main St. with my trucks would be impossdible and I weouldnt put my muscle on Main.But,there are many spaces behind the strip of businesses (#secretspots).We placed a to go order (they ared so busy I've never gotten through on my first 5 tries!).The young lady taking our order was great,she made sure that everything was 100% correct.We ordered a fajita salad no sour cream with ground beef and salsa as the sour cream substitute.I was informed that I coujld not sub but I could pay extra.Okay,no problem.One Land and Sea,Baja Sauce on the side plus bacon and Jack cheese.Two churros and one shrimp taco.For me the meat had no seasoning but was not dry.The salsa was a very tiny amount especially to be charged extra(possibly a teaspoon worth).I do love their guac and I so adore how crispy the shell is that holds the goods!The greens were extremely fresh and the dressing perfectly on the side.The shrimp taco was swimming in sauce but other than that...yummy.The mango added such a delicious touch and the shrimp was prepared very nicely.But all that sauce almost stole the show.It was oozing out before I touched it and was flavorless other than the taste of mayo.As for the Land & Sea:P E R F E C T!My Sweetheart is so picky and he loved it.The bacon was crispy,the rice tasty...and the meats great job.The churros had lots of cinnamon sugar and were crispy on the outside warm and soft on the inside.Naspkins,utensils..everything was in the bag(I like my takeout just like it was bagged,neat and ready to be eaten anywhere). The customer service and phone etiquette could use some work but it's pretty much what you'd expect from high school employees. Have some decorum and class, the cashier told us we could sit since there were no seats left and you question us as if we are non-paying staggerers? I came here yesterday after not comming since before covid and i wanted to say the hype isn't what it was made out to be. A few years ago when i came the burrito used to be a LOT bigger and my burrito yesterday was even smaller than a chipotle burrito.... not only that but as i was eating the food it didn't taste fresh to me. It was the only thing i ate all day and later after 1 hour of eating it i got diarrhea and all night into the next day was consistently go to the bathroom. it felt like i had food poisoning from the pain i been feeing in my stomach after eating that one burrito.It wasn't just me but also the people i came with also had the upset stomach after consuming there food as well. I love their burritos however they always have long lines and they don't answer their phone. The staff sometimes leaves the phone off the hook because they are so busy. They deliver but only if you catch them on the phone on a rare occasion. My favorite burrito is the Land and Sea. I love it so much I keep going to stand on those lines and guess what it's affordable $10 for a a decent size burrito. You can split it in half and eat it for 2 meals if you like to eat smaller portions. read more

Bubba's recently (as of this past year) expanded and I've been back and forth a few times before writing this review. The wait time is still unreal. I find myself and my wife sitting at the bar where you "must order a beverage" in order to sit and order food. Pro to that is that you have to be 21 to sit down, con is...what if you don't drink? I am currently pregnant so my wife gets a beer just so we can "skip" the line. If I were to sit down alone would they allow me to sit there? Is the sign just up to keep the kids (high school kids) away from the bar?? Since opening back up we stick with our standards, Chicken Soft and hard tacos. There were times that the food came to us cold and other times hot. We are dining in, the food shouldn't be cold, ever. Also, they never have the same hot sauces offered, which for me personally is a huge turn off. I like specific hot sauces and go to locations based on Quality of the taco and then the sauces they offer. Its never the same here...they need to pick 5-7 sauces and stick with those. Pricing is spot on for the location / what you are getting. It is a cheaper night out for us for sure! The line is always out the door so clearly they are doing something right but my past handful times there have not been consistent which is why they only get a 3/5. read more

My wife and I tried a few other Restaurants on the strip Friday night and they were all full with long wait times. So reluctantly we entered Bubba's. I'm not a big fan of MO's or Chipotle Grill, so I had low expectations for this joint. Gotta tell you, it was an awesome surprise. The Land and Sea Burrito was fantastic. Really well done. We also had a the Salsa and chips. You could tell they were made in house. We are definitely going back. They also had one of those fancy Soda machines that offer tons of options. I love those. Recently a friend of mine suggested I try bubbas and I was not sure if I would even like it. But I'm glad I did. I originally thought that bubbas was just another chipotle or qudoba but it's not. This place used to be so much better. Sure the inside is a lot nicer and more spacious, but the customer service isn't there. They list fresh-cut fried potatoes but they give you commercially made frozen French fries that appear to have been fried for too long. The menu is no longer special or unique, and they don't offer as many fresh veggies, or vegetable options. What's not to love about Bubbas? I've been coming for 10 years now and it's still consistent and delicious. Now that I am significantly closer to it, we go fairly often. The prices are fantastic as well. You get a baby sized burrito for $10, its great! The service is stellar as well, the kids working are fast, friendly and always get it right I've tried everything at this point, there isn't one thing I would say to pass on. My favorites are the fajita bowl, classic tacos with ground beef, carnitas street taco and the cali salad. Other favorites are the chicka chicka boom boom and the guilt trip. Note that the two burritos mentioned are very California style, less Tex mex. You can mix and match anything you want, they have a nice beer selection and they have a fun make your own soda flavor machine. I had been told to come here and I finally have. I had never gone before but from what I heard, the store used to be smaller. The newly renovated Bubba's is honestly a cool hangout spot. The decor is nice and nostalgic in some odd but nice way. Since I had never been there, I wanted to get an item that I could get at any burrito place to see how it matched up and I am happy to say that it did not disappoint. I got a classic burrito (black beans, brown rice, guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheese) with grilled chicken in a whole wheat wrap but without the cheese. The wrap itself was big and I was starving so I devoured it! I love and appreciate the serving sizes because a) you pay for it so it is always great to get a lot of food and b) I eat like a whale. The flavors were really fresh and their grilled chicken was juicy. I am also a big fan of guacamole so I was rather anxious to try theirs and really liked it too! The way that all of the ingredients went together was really pleasant and even though the portion size is big, I did not feel gross after eating the whole thing.
