We purchased a bosch refrigerator 7 years ago for $2,600.00. Recently we started having issues with food freezing in the friut and vegetable drawers. We contacted the store where we purchased the refrigerator and they diagnosed that we needed a part that was discontinued by bosch. Therefore the refrigerator couldn't be repaired. We were told to contact bosch directly for a discount on a new refrigerator. We were offered a decent discount from bosch, BUT they would only deliver to our driveway, would not install or remove our broken refrigerator. Therefore the discount was no longer a discount since we would have to pay someone to install and remove the broken reftigerator which most stores include when you purchase an appliance. Also the model we had was discontinued and there were only 2 refrigerators we could choose that would fit our space. The discount could only be applied to a new bosch refrigerator. My experience with Bosch customer service has been extremely frustrating. I reported an issue with my dishwasher and have provided photos of the error code and the problem through the app, yet the process has been repeatedly delayed instead of resolved. After multiple contacts, I was informed that another technician visit would be required, even though the issue has already been documented. As a customer, I expected a timely repair, replacement, or refund. Instead, I have experienced repeated delays, inconsistent communication, and no satisfactory resolution. Their tech incorrectly installed a replacement part on my oven and damaged our cabinets in the process. When I noticed the damage and texted him, he ghosted me. It took me almost 3 months and countless calls to resolve my claim. They have so many 800 numbers to keep you running from one to the next with no resolution. We purchased a Bosch refrigerator in December of 2024. The main reason for selecting Bosch was the claim that it had a very good ice maker. It came with a one year warranty and it stopped making ice in September, 2025. We contacted Bosch Home Appliance and were given a 6 week appointment time. Not wanting to purchase ice for 6 weeks we asked if there could be an appointment sooner than that. The woman we spoke to said they did have third party appliance repair services that could possibly complete the repair sooner and she made an appointment for two weeks (still inadequate, but better). The person they sent knew little to nothing about refrigerators. He tinkered for awhile then said he needed a part and he would come back. He came back four times and was never able to fix the problem. He said that was all he could do. That wasted four more weeks and I have no idea what he did if anything. His English was so bad that communication wasn't possible. We notified Bosch Home Appliance that the problem still wasn't resolved and the woman we spoke to advised that since we used a third party supplier the warranty was no longer valid. After some wrangling I was able to speak to someone who agreed to have a Bosch repairman respond in three weeks. He responded and reiterated that he could fix the problem but it was no longer under warranty since we had a third party repairman look at it (remember that they were the people who recommended the third party and made the appointment themselves). We were not satisfied and I called Bosch Home Appliance before their guy left. I'm not pleading guilty to false imprisonment, but the guy really didn't want to stay. I spoke to two different people and the second asked to speak to the Bosch repairman. After a short conversation he told us that he had been authorized to make the repair as a 'one time courtesy' and the warranty was still void. After he left we made several more calls to Bosch Home Appliance during which we provided purchase dates etc and finally were assured that it was a misunderstanding and the refrigerator would be repaired by Bosch and the warranty was still valid. Two visits and about six weeks later the ice maker was finally working. This is a very unorganized and possibly dishonest company. A Gaggenau service technician replaced the water filter in my Gaggenau refrigerator incorrectly. It flooded my kitchen and basement and caused extensive damage to my home. This has caused me a significant financial burden in addition to disruption to my work and personal life. It has been over 7 weeks and BSH's insurance company has been giving me the run around and has not approved or denied the claim. I do not recommend you use them to service your appliances as they do not take responsibility for the negligent work of their employees. read more

I purchased their Thermador range in November 2019. By January of 2020 the bottom of the range began to pit and peel. Thermador Customer service kept telling me it was rust and not covered under warranty without even looking at the damage! This year I contacted them again, ( been doing so over the years) to resolve this matter and to send someone out to see that it is in fact a manufactured defect. They sent Mr Appliance in March. Didn't hear back and followed up in June and July. Both times they said they will accelerate the case. Still didn't hear back. Called today and Thermador wants a more recent assessment even though Mr Appliance's came out in March. So, now I am waiting to have Mr Appliance to come out again to assess Even though this was done in March with pics. I haven't used the range for fear of any chemicals coming off of the damage. According to California Civil Code under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, products sold in California must meet the standards of the implied warranty of merchantability, meaning they must be fit for ordinary purposes and last a reasonable period of time. This has not happened with my range and Thermador has been very difficult to deal with. They should replace the range. I think I am going to have to take them to small claims court. read more

We purchased an entire kitchen of Thermador appliances a couple years ago. We recently ordered the blue knob set from Thermador online directly. The item was fulfilled/shipped by BSH Home Appliance. Unfortunately, one of the knobs was incorrectly manufactured. Basically, poor workmanship as the internal plug works if the off position is at 300 degrees-- as opposed to it fitting correctly on off position. This renders the entire $450+ set unusable as one knob remains silver. The picture shows correct knob part number opposite internal plug placement. Neither Thermador or BSH actually picks up the phone. Just a thank you for holding ...annoying music recording. I hung up after 31 minutes. No hold time given. Shameful, I will NEVER buy Thermador or any associated appliance again. No way to contact outside of calling per the email, invoice, and website. NO WAY to correct this issue much less return the order. No email to write them. Neither company actually picks up the phone- its shocking. read more

Thermador represents itself as a high-quality, luxury brand, and it's not, and their customer service is terrible! I paid $179 for their technician to come out and $125 for his time on the phone to discuss repair options with his manager and the manufacturer, only to be told that they couldn't repair it. I purchased a Thermador stove and range hood blower for $ 8,300 in July 2016, drawn to its reputation as a respected, high-quality brand. Today, I called your company for an appointment to repair my unit. Jose Morales came out to diagnose the unit, talked to the manufacturer to discuss repair options, and his manager about whether the company could fix it. However, his manager told Jose that your company's policy is that they would not fix equipment that was over 6 ft above the ground. This is a ridiculous policy as a range hood is almost always installed 6 feet above the ground. Furthermore, your employee should already know this policy and not have to talk to his manager. I wasted 4 phone calls and 2 hours of my time on hold attempting to get an RMA number to return incorrect water filters which were ordered based on bad information given to me by Ferguson Bath, their local Thermador distributor. Wasted an hour on hold to obtain a return case number, only to find out that I needed to wait for them to send me an email to provide an RMA number for the return, which email was never sent. Wasted another 20 minutes on hold and was then disconnected after being on hold for another 10-minutes after speaking with the 2nd rep when I tried to follow up and find out what happened to the RMA number. How can you be disconnected from the customer service rep when their only job is to answer the phones!?!? On top of this, they want to charge you a 25% restocking fee for sending the incorrect parts that were recommended by their authorized distributor. It's outrageous! If I could give them zero I would. I purchased all Bosch appliances from Pacific Sales in Brea, spent several thousand dollars for what I thought was superior products. The first disappointing thing was when they were delivered, they had "made in China" stamped all over the box, the salesman said they were German. They are in fact a German company with product coming from China. I didn't want to buy Samson or LG due to the horrible reviews. It's been two years and the microwave has gone out and now the ice maker in the refrigerator isn't working. Paid $3K for extended warranty with a $75 deductible, they gave me my $1500 back for the micro but had to stick to Bosch because the opening in the cabinet didn't work for other brands. On to their service. When you call for service, the call center is in the Philippines, hard to understand. They take your request and takes about two weeks before you get the call from the local Bosch center, their service guy is horrible. He shows up and does a quick fix and leaves. Later I notice his work on the refrigerator is worse than what it was before he showed up. I text him pictures and of course he doesn't answer. Meanwhile the freezer isn't making ice and the door doesn't shut all the way. You call their Irvine office- forget it. This company is absolutely garbage! Stay away from the overpriced Chinese junk! To Whom It May Concern, As a Bosch consumer owning multiple tools and a dishwaser. I am very frustrated with Bosch business model in term of quality, warranty and customer service. I hope this email makes it to someone who cares about your customer. This is a long post, but bear with me. My 800 series dishwasher (SHPM78Z55N/01) recently has a E2 error code. I paid $190 for Bosch to send out a technician for diagnostic (service order # 2771131138). After spending 15 mins, the technician told me the power module has to be replaced at an estimate of $600 for the repair. Mind you, that it's on top of the $190 for this visit. So I declined the repair quote. I proceeded to find the power module and planned to replace it myself. I'm not an authorized Bosch technician, but I am an engineer who build electronic component/assembly for an aerospace company for over 15 years. Figured this is was an easy job to swap out the power module.  I ordered the power module on 2/24/2024 (Order number 1115942759). It came a few days later in a damaged box. I thought maybe if i can just swap it out and see if there's any issue with it before trying to replace. I swapped out the unit on 3/2/2024. Turned on the house circuit breaker afterward, and immediate see these messages flashing on the control panel "Rinse Aid" & "Add Salt". None of the button was working. Then I swapped back the old unit to verify if there's any potential issue I may have caused during the initial swap. The old unit was working fine, showing no odd messages, and all the buttons were working. So I decided to double check the new unit again, just in case some connections could have been loose during the first install. Same result as the first install.  Suspecting at this point, Bosch sent me a defective unit, or could have been damaged during transit. I proceeded to call Bosch customer service for an exchange. I spoke to an agent, and his team lead. Both repeatly told me that electronic part cannot be returned; especially if it's installed by a non-authorized Bosch technician. I asked the team lead to file a complaint (Case # 4104135429). Then proceeded to ask if anyone will response back to me. Was told 'noone will response back', this is an internal file complaint. So now i'm stuck with a dead power module that cost $147 (Order number 4101912354). Keep in mind, at this point I have spent a total of $337 (including the initial diagnostic visit) that did not resolve my dishwasher's issue.  In addition to this experiece, I'd like to share that I had to repair the dishwasher (by an authorized Bosch technician) for another issue in July 2022 (Service Order No: 2770373788). I only had this washer since 10/30/2020. That's 2 seperate issues in 3 years 4 months.  I am beyond frustrated at this point. Feel powerless to do anything, but I will definitely share this experience on as many online review venues as possible. I do hope someone from Bosch is reading this and has a sense of accountability. Like I said at the beginning, I own many Bosch products as well. However, I will no longer buy from Bosch. Your product design may be great, but your business model is autrocious. read more

Hector came by to fix our oven. Our unit is under warranty. This is not first time he has come by to do repair, he was easy to work with the first couple of times. Today he came by to fix the oven, 1) he asked us to provide chairs for him to put the oven on even though he had a dolly in his car which he was too lazy to get. 2) it seemed like it was his first time fixing this problem because he didnt know how to remove the old fan to put in a new one. Also he was rushing through the process. 3) after he fixed it, when putting the oven back, the oven was not aligned with the microwave above it, when asked, he said it was never aligned. I took a picture of the 2 items before he came by and showed him that it was aligned and he said we took it after????? 4) after that, he tried to align it by using a lot of force even though the problem is the electrical outlets behind the oven, it required him to get his dolly which he was too lazy to get again after putting it back in his car. He used so much force that he broke our cabinets. He got panic and left. Leaving us with a broken shelf, an oven hanging on a broken shelf unsecured. read more

When I bought my Bosch refrigerator I thought I was buying quality. The first one I got lasted less than a year. It took Bosch 14 weeks to get me a new refrigerator. They did send me a new one that one lasted three months and again I'm without refrigeration and freezer in my kitchen. up both times I have gone over four months in the past year and a half without a refrigerator or freezer in my kitchen. As I write this, I still do not have refrigeration and freezer in my kitchen. Bosch is Customer service absolutely sucks. I strongly suggest you buy another brand. I work for an Appliance Repair Service and Unless you are The Consummer or are Certified by them, they will not help. One of our Techs is working on a Bosch Washing Machine Which has No Model or Serial Number sticker anywhere to be seen. Yes, he looked in the back, the front, the sides around the inside door rim Etc. The Tech needs a part for this unit and has pictures of it and I have called Numerous times to see if I can send the pictures to have someone ID the Model and part Numbers , But I keep getting Hung up on. Somehow someone felt pity, and did send me to a Tech Support Guy who also tried to help, but all the guys could do (without getting in trouble) is give me a web address where I could see the Five most recent Models and the Parts breakdown. Absolutely inept performance by Elvis Natareno-Pineda, the Jersey City, NJ technician working for BSH Home Appliances, who was sent to us by Thermador Customer Support. Our first service appointment was on 2/8/2021 to diagnose an issue with the broiler of our tenants' Thermador range. Elvis took until 4/21/2021 to order the part, then skipped our scheduled appointment when I couldn't immediately answer the phone (he didn't give my any heads-up), then ignored my messages to reschedule. I called him back when the oven started to have difficulty heating up. He charged me $180 for a service appointment on 5/24/2021, which according to our tenants he left without doing much at all. I called him back yet again when the oven stopped working altogether a few days later. He came out again today, 6/16/2021, looked at the oven, but couldn't or didn't care to figure out the issue, according to our tenants. BBB Also has a similar review posted. Extra Life Appliance came over today and fixed the long-standing dishwasher problem within five working minutes. There was dirt and debris on top of the sensor plate which was activating the error 15 code.. And Mind you this dishwasher is only one month old... Extra Life Appliance in the end charged us $150 including the service call fee. Normally it is $220; But seeing how quick the issue was resolved, the technician was accommodating; Secondary to hearing his Thermador and BSH manipulated the repair order in trying to up price customers Who have a one month old Thermidor product. BSH - When they came over; they were going to charge us $680 - For ordering unnecessary parts: and adding insult to their own injury, they never conveyed this adjusted price to Thermidor.. where, Unbeknownst to them: Thermador had quietly sent us an email to confirm a review for purchase of said un needed parts at only at $555.18... BSH kept on pushing the 680 price tag; We told him to go fish and to call us back to figure out what Thermidor says per contract. Not a single call back. Yeah - I'd keep quiet too if I were them Walking around with all that dirt. So BSH got caught and made an unwarranted parts order, that held no foundation for repairs, just exploiting and cashing in failed attempts at extra revenue, And there Thermidor quietly takes it, Foot in mouth, Spreading their and Takes their degenerate 3rd party contractors word for it... Shame on these shysters from Deutschland - Thermador and Bosch are NOT even BBB Accredited. Hubby and I bought a Bosch dishwasher at Best Buy January 2014. By January 2016 while celebrating this high end appliance 2 year birthday it stops working. Let's cut to the end of a very long journey it is now running again August 2017. What happened inbetween the repairman comes out 3 times. First visit he tells us we are in an old house get your house rewired. So we call an electrician says it makes no sense have him come back out. 2nd visit get your house rewired so we did. Two days with an electrician cha ching. 3rd visit granted when I have time to sit at home for the last appointment of the day. I.E. would be nice if they shared this tidbit with the homeowner. So now he is happy with the electric and we are out of warranty. He suggests we get a new dishwasher we opt he fixes what we started. End result if your 2 year old Bosch dishwasher breaks do not call this place throw washer out and get a new one. We paid more in repairs than the dishwasher cost to begin with. read more

Ridiculously expensive and bad customer service. We asked them to do an estimate and technician literally spent 10 minutes diagnosing they need to order a part. This part is 200$ and the whole job estimated 600$, so the labor (1 hr work is almost 400$). I'm busy finding another company so I'm calling them to schedule. But when "customer service" is rude, defensive, accusatory, and most importantly completely refuses to accept responsibility for not providing promised support for their defective appliances... then they truly earn their 1-star. My biggest regret in remodeling my home was choosing Thermador products. Save yourself the grief and AVOID purchasing any THERMADOR appliances. Hood: defective from the factory. Service failed to repair twice. Customer support couldn't care less and falsely blamed me for fabricated issues to brush off any responsibility. I had to hire an electrician at my own expense to repair the factory defective hood. Range: brand new, 36" gas range, just under $6000. Arrived completely water-damaged inside. Screws, brackets, rails, were all rusted. Customer service calls it a cosmetic issue and refuses to replace the factory defective appliance. We cannot cook with a new rusted stove. Customer service couldn't care less. Instead only blames the installers or the delivery -- just creating any false excuse they can think of to avoid taking responsibility for the problem. don't buy a Bosch fridge, ice maker fails in year one. they re-lace it. like clockwork, new ice maker fails...they refuse to fix it because the fridge warranty is done and they don't warranty their junk parts. very disappointing!!! read more

I really am very dissatisfied and disappointed with the sub-standard customer service that I have received from Thermador. I have a range that was purchased in 2017 for approximately $14,000.00. While I do love the range, I now have a very sour taste in my mouth. I accidentally broke the interior glass on my main oven by dropping a Pyrex loaf pan on it (the Pyrex pan is unharmed). The replacement glass is over $800 and I originally had a repair appointment set up for Dec 6th. I received a call rescheduling my appointment to Nov. 11th. When the technician called me on Nov 10th, I was advised that my glass was never ordered and that my appointment would have to be rescheduled. When the appointment was rescheduled, it was set for Dec. 13th....when I contacted Thermador no customer service I was advised that there was nothing that could be done regarding my new appointment that was over a month away. Finally, after I aired my dissatisfaction with that answer, he stated that he was going to expedite my appointment because it is a safety issue. As of today, I have heard nothing and have been on hold for over 47 minutes just to speak with a customer service representative with Thermador. BE VERY CAUTIOUS IF YOU BUY THERMADOR DUE TO THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. UPDATE: my December 13th appointment day finally arrived and the service technician could not have been nicer. He was also on time and fixed my oven. At least when you do have a technician come out they are courteous and professional. It's just too bad you have to wait so long.... I originally was only giving one star but did change to three only because of the service technician. read more
