They came to our property, did not disclose up front that only insurance company can get the report. Instead technician Louis said we will get the report next day and also have 30 days guarantee. Patty on the phone was unhelpful, unprofessional. I asked her to put us back to contact with Louis because he was the one at our home and SHE REFUSED!!! She kept saying she was not in our house so she didn't know our conversation. But REFUSED to let us to talk to the person who was in our house and who had a conversation with my husband and I. Absolutely Shady Business and how they treat people. Wasted a week of our time dealing with an active leak and made our situation worse. The detection was far more inaccurate. It wasn't even in the same room they marked. When trying to use the 30 days guarantee for them to come back to locate the leak again, we were told the insurance company has to call them to use it. For an active leak, as a home owner, we are trying to resolve the issue. Not to run into another drama and scam - totally waste of time. Stay away!

On 9/9/26, my 85 year old mother called Harris to repair her gas leak to her heater. The technician…read moreperformed a bubble test, the same exact bubble test that PSE&G previously performed to find a gas leak. The tech from Harris claimed he found the leak, but couldn't reach the leak to repair because the hot water heater was in the way. Harris charged my 85 year old widowed mother $637.50 for the bubble test and fixed nothing. The tech didn't lift so much as a screwdriver, charged her $637.50 and fixed nothing, leaving my mom with no heat and a big bill. The invoice stated that Harris would have to come back out and move the hot water heater so they could reach the leak, a job that can cost thousands. We hired another contractor to come out and check the leak to see what they would say. It turns out the leak that Harris said was behind the water heater wasn't where the leak actually was and they fixed it for her and charged $200 and never once even considered that the water heater needed to be moved. When the 2nd contractor left, the heat was working. The 2 Harris representatives defended what Harris charged and the job that wasn't completed. Sean and Paul, you both failed your customer miserably. Paul told me Harris has been in business since 1985. That should tell you that for 4 decades this company has been taking advantage of people by targeting elderly women and pressuring them into paying for unnecessary work for profit. It isn't about the money Sean and Paul, it's about how you treated an old lady on a fixed income. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and will also file a claim in small claims court. I promise you I will cost you more than what you charged my mother going forward by any means necessary. Stay away from Harris. They prey on the elderly and are proud of it. I am attaching the invoice that supports exactly what I've described in this review. Anything short of an apology and full refund from Harris will not be accepted. Don't call us. Don't email us. Don't send us a letter. It amazes me that Harris has a 1.9 rating. Should be zero!

So all that needed to be done was to cut the drain pipes under the sink and use a coupler to put it back together. It's an easy fix that I could do myself but I had other projects to do and I honestly just didn't feel like doing it. Also when I shut the water off to the sink I also noticed the valve had a small leak so I asked for the quote to include that also. I was quoted $950 for these simple fixes. I politely told them no, they charged me nearly $80 just to come and look and sent them on their way. I went to the hardware store paid $12 in parts and had the issue resolved in an hour and 30 minutes. Something the "pros" would have been able to do in about half the time I'm sure.
