They came out the same day I reached out to them. They were very prompt and Thorough. They fixed my leaky toilet.

Literally the worst ever please do not hire these people to fix anything they are literally the worst highway robber. These people came into my home to fix my jacuzzi tub and my jacuzzi tub was never fixed they stole my motor pump, sorry now another company can't fix my tub because the stole the motor. I've called the company inquiring about my motor pump and they lied and said the took it out to replace it with h a new motor pump but never put a new pump or brought the old pump back. This contractor is part of the American Home Shield network of which I am a customer. AHS contacted Plumbing Specialties to evaluate, repair or replace our hot water heater which was flooding my basement. After multiple phone calls, I finally get an appointment which this contractor does not call or show up to after I took the day off of work. Finally after several call and begging for help, they finally show up and take pictures to get back to American Home Shield so the process of the replacement can begin. Several days later, still nothing. They never even submitted the information and again, several phone calls and begging later, they finally submit the information to AHS. What a horrible company and experience. They obviously could care less about your needs or concerns Plumbing Specialties has made it very clear to me that they are a substandard company at best and there was no way I was going to have someone like do ANYTHING for me. AHS sent up a follow up appointment with Plumbing Specialties. On THREE separate occasions they no showed for appointments that Rob, the manager himself, set up. They made me wait around 3 whole different days for no one to show up. They are so unprofessional and unreliable. DO NOT do business with them. read more

My home warranty scheduled service with this company. They had to come to my house twice to complete the service. Both occasions they gave a window of when the technicians would arrive between 11-3. Neither time did they arrive in that window. The first time they arrived at 5:15 and were unable to complete the job. The next day they scheduled service, they did bit show. There was no communication that the technicians would not arrive in the anticipated time frame of an apology from the company when scheduling the follow-up appointment. This is a poor way to facilitate business, as it is a blatant disrespect of the customer's time. Although I cannot comment on the quality of their work, I will absolutely not been using this company again due to their lack of quality customer service. 0 stars. read more

They were sent out by American home shield. Two people showed up in a unmarked van in T-shirts with no tools. Very unprofessional. They looked at my water heater and determined there was nothing wrong with it. However, they did not do any testing. My water heater is still not working properly. I would not recommend using this company. read more

I have been trying to get a toilet fixed since November 2022 and still has not gotten any positive results. This is my second year of a contract with American Home Shield and will never renew. They took my money for the year for the contract and have been the worse to deal with. I know that many people do not read these comments, but if you do, then don't deal with AHS. read more

Put a request into AHS for clogged drains in my kitchen sink and a leaking dishwasher. Appointment was scheduled but no one showed up. I spent all day waiting for someone to come, a work day at that. I tried calling them several times and texting but got no response. I called AHS twice in the same day to complain. AHS does nothing about this terrible vendor. Sink is still clogged. Water all over my floor from the dishwasher. I have little kids, tons of dirty dishes I can't wash, and stagnate dirty smelly water sitting in my sink and dishwasher. UNPROFESSIONAL! TERRIBLE! Put a request into AHS for several repairs needed by a plumber in October 2024. Here is January and my toilet keeps running - never fixed Appointment was scheduled several times but no one showed up. I spent all day waiting for someone to come, all work days at that. I tried calling them several times and texting but got no response. I called AHS twice in the same day to complain. the vendor answers their calls but lies to them as well - assures them they will be coming but never shows up. They finally returned in December to finish job started in October and still didn't have right part. Told me he'd definitely be back here it is January and no one ever came. UNPROFESSIONAL! TERRIBLE! Plumbing Specialties - AHS finally agreed to get me a new plumber to complete job - then I received a call from AHS dispatch letting me knwi they were having a hard time finding anyone in my are but if I found someone they woudl pay for the cost - either reimburse me or pay the plumber direct. I was thrilled until I got my bank statement and saw they charged me AGAIN for the same service call that was never handled in October read more

Assingned to me thru American Home Shield. It's been 2 weeks since my request and all I'm getting is vmail , 2 No shows, no call backs and hrs worth of apologies from AHS customer service. I did manage to get a refund for my deductible from AHS after I went all "Karen-Like" on customer service. How has this gone on for years ? WTF read more

Plumbing Specialties was sent by our warranty company First American home warranty( Nightmare to deal with them) to fix toilet clogging, comes after 10 days of rasing a service request, just looks around and does nothing, gives a false report to the warranty company that there is no issue. Never responds to phone, text messages. Very unprofessional to deal with. Never ever engage them. read more

No call/No show - Unresponsive Plumbing Specialties was assigned to me through First American Home Warranty on 4/4/2022. I spoke with a rep (Robert I believe) who said he would come to my home on 4/8 btwn 12-3. He even asked me to text him pics of the problem areas. I did. The appointment came and went with radio silence from him. I called my warranty company and magically the new appointment was 4/13/2022 btwn 11pm - 3 am (yes the middle of the night). After an hour plus long argument with my warranty company who assured me that Plumbing Specialties would show up, they did a second no call no show. They completely wasted my time which is why I have the energy to leave them bad reviews everywhere I get a chance. read more

Terrible. This company was assigned to me for water heater issue. Never called and I finally got a hold of them 4 days later. Scheduled an appointment, sent pics etc. Day before applying I call and text to confirm no response. Day of appointment still nothing. Called warranty company and they spot to them and the nasty guy said he never spoke to me but said he would come the following days never called, never showed. STAY AWAY very nasty and unreliable, don't let someone this terrible work on something in your home. Reported to BBB as well. read more

Sent by warranty company to fix a leak...showed up to check it out and was supposed to make an appointment to come back but never did. Told the warranty company the job was completed so I got charged but no work done. Basically they lied to get paid and I still have a leak. Contact at Plumbing Specialties now ignoring my calls. Left a bad review on Facebook and he blocked me so the bad review disappeared....I wonder how many times he has done that. read more

My heroes! After getta no a quite from another company, sent by my home warranty company, they sent Plumbing Specialities out. They were professional, explaining everything that needed to be done, and had my water heater working in no time! After the first company quoted us out of pocket expenses over $1700 and didn't want to get a permit, Plumbing Specialities got the permit and did the work for $1000 less than the first, shady company.
