A MAJOR selection of great kids sneakers too. I've also purchased most of my Timberland boots here. Great selection of styles and colors. They also are the go to spot for fan gear. They have cleats, custom team wear, and equipment for any sport you can imagine. If they don't have it then they can order it for you. The price is MUCH cheaper than large chains. I prefer them over larger retail sporting good stores because of the personal attention and care that the owner put into. In addition, it is always nice to support small businesses whenever possible. There's a small parking space on the side near Walgreens. Go give them a try, they won't disappoint you.

The staff here is friendly for the most part and they do have a wide variety of items. Mostly what they do carry is clothing and shoes. They do have some sporting stuff I know that they carry very limited ice skates hockey pucks footballs, football equipment they do carry baseball bats helmets etc. The staff is hit or miss I went here one time and I had a staff member come right up to me and ask me if I needed help with anything. on another occasion I have the staff just standing around and I had to go up and ask them the question. This most recent time I needed to get a New York Mets T-shirt for spring training in Florida. I went to four different places and I finally decided to come here and they were the only place that carried the player T-shirts. I needed a player T-shirt because I was going to wear my actual game worn player jersey but I figured it was going to be really hot to wear the jersey so I wanted to get the T-shirt with the player name on the back just in case. Unfortunately when I got in the store the only New York Mets T-shirt they had was a Matt Harvey. I would say for baseball clothes 90% of the stuff was for the New York Yankees. They did have bar wear cups mugs. Overall this Olympia sports is a small store if you're coming here for clothes it's a good idea because they do carry a lot of clothes other than that you might want to try a different store just because you might actually have to order it about of their catalog if it's actual sporting goods items.

Bob's Sport Chalet, STAY AWAY, don't do business with this creepy owner…read more I ordered two very expensive items and they never arrived. I contacted customer service and the same person, a man always answers the phone. I'm assuming it's the owner. He told me he would check on the order and get back to me. He never got back to me. Weeks went by and finally I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute. I just happened to be at the post office picking up another package and when they went back to get it, when they came back out the postal worker said "oh do you know you have another package here for you?" The package from Bob's Sport Chalet had been sitting at the post office for weeks. The man in Customer Service never followed up on the package and it's whereabouts. I immediately contacted customer service at Bob's Sport Chalet and was treated extremely rude and yelled at by the same man that I spoke to in the beginning. (The Owner). Bob's Sports Chalet is owned and managed by Bill and Belinda Gonsalves of Bristol CT. The success of the business is by emphasizing the quality of service. I can't believe they have the nerve to put this in their ads in on their website. He very specifically said he would not give me a refund and they don't deal with people who file a dispute. He hung up the phone. I called back numerous times only to be hung up on again and be cursed out. He's a despicable man and a bully! I'm out almost $500, no fault of my own. The owner didn't care that the items were brand new packages and were sitting at the post office and it was not my fault that they were never delivered. I had every right to file a dispute. This is a horrible business and as you can see if you read the other yelp reviews, it's happened to many others. Please stay as far away from this company as possible, if you value your money and have any Integrity. This company doesn't care about their customers at all!

Do not buy performance ski boots at Bob's Sports Chalet…read more I recently bought a pair of Salomon S/Pro Alpha 130 ski boots. After my purchase I brought the ski boots home and put in my footbeds only to find that the ski boots caused my legs to bow when I flexed them. I understand that each skier's anatomy is different and their experience in a particular ski boot will vary. However, Bob's does not carry an extensive line of performance ski boot alternatives and I asked for a refund. I received a refund but was charged a 10% fee. The ski boots were never used and were returned in 1 week after purchase. I was mindful of the salesperson's time when I tried on the ski boots in the store and I made a good faith effort to test the ski boots with my footbeds at home. Given the fee that I was charged, I do not believe that Bob's Sports Chalet gave me the same courtesy.

Our younger daughter's goalie helmet had a hardware issue about 6 months after we bought it and I brought it to Sartorius expecting to need to pay $40 for a new throat guard - not so, Chris had the right hardware and fixed it for us in minutes. Their stringing services are also fairly-priced and quick.

My orthotics squeaked a bit in the shoes, but Chris had a brilliant solution that involved cutting a layer of thin material to insert in the shoes. Takes time and skill, but he did it for all four shoes while I waited. Now I can sneak up on people without the squeaking giving me away... Happy and grateful (and stealthy) customer.

I continued shopping and perusing the necessary items that I was able to find... until I couldn't find anymore. Matt, an associate, took the time to help me locate the remaining items that I needed. There were some that he ended up having to go to the back stockroom to retrieve (he ended up going to the back 2-3 times, God bless him!). I ended up being in the store for over an hour and a half, but the experience was pleasant and well worth it. Ronan my cashier helped me close out my order with speed and efficiency.
