First, Adriana is a sweetheart!!!! Excellent service. We started with the pork belly appetizer. A. maz. Zing!!! The slaw was fantastic and added balance to the Asian pork belly...which, by the way were perfect! Crunchy and fantastic flavor. Our friends ordered chicken nachos. These were also quite fantastic. Excellent queso, the chips were a bit thicker than expected, but still perfect for the huge amount of toppings. The campfire burger was amazing. If I had to pick on one thing, it would have been nice to be able to order medium rare. But, nonetheless, outstanding burger. The perfect amount of char. A well toasted burger n, and the garlic aioli was the perfect complement. As for beverages, the pineapple jalapeños margarita was good, but the red sangria was wonderful. The atmosphere was super relaxed on the patio with some southern rock/ 70's music. Amazing way to spend the afternoon. read more

We stopped by Bryson City Brewing on the Fourth of July during our 2026 North Carolina road trip, and it was a fun place to spend part of the evening. The brewery itself has a great setup with both indoor and outdoor seating, a full liquor bar in addition to their beers, and a stage for live music. It's in a perfect downtown location, making it easy to walk around Bryson City and explore everything nearby before or after your visit. We tried the Brussels sprouts appetizer along with a couple of their local beers, and both were really good. The only thing that missed the mark for us was the live band that night. Music is incredibly subjective, and they're probably a great fit for many people, but the style just wasn't what we were expecting. Coming from Tampa, we're spoiled with an amazing local music scene and were hoping for something with a little more variety and crowd interaction. Ironically, the highlight of the performance was an adorable little girl who got up and danced her heart out--she absolutely stole the show with her energy and had everyone smiling! After the fireworks, the brewery was hosting an after-party, which looked like a great way to keep the celebration going. Overall, I wouldn't let one band's performance influence my opinion of Bryson City Brewing. The venue, atmosphere, food, drinks, and location all made for a great experience. If you're visiting Bryson City, I'd absolutely recommend stopping in. Looking forward to seeing a different band the next time I'm in town! read more

BLUF: Pricey but good beer and fun views of watching the Smokey Mountains Railroad trains come and go. My husband and I stumbled upon this brewery. We couldn't find a place to park in downtown, we turned down a side street, we stumbled into the open parking lot of a brewery alongside train tracks, saw burgers advertised and we were sold! It was a perfect weather day so we sat on the patio - cool in the shade and warm in the sun. As someone who loves American history and trains, I was happy to walk around the building which is a former RC Cola bottling plant and when the train came rolling down the tracks I was quick to jump up and go look as if I'd never seen a train before. Thankfully we had all of that entertainment and idyllic weather because there was a mixup with our order and we waited about 45 minutes for our food. Our server was very apologetic and offered to comp us a beer but we appreciated the apology and didn't feel the need to do any more day drinking. About those beers - Bryson City Brewing serves their own beer. We tried a couple and both were good. Not something that I would drive out of my way for but certainly very enjoyable. At $8 for a 16 oz pour their beers felt a tad pricey to me. After the fact, I see many other reviewers feel the same about the brewery being over priced. For food we had a burger and some apps. The burger was delicious and seemed very fresh. We also had buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower was good but it had a lot of heavy, sweet BBQ sauce on it which wasn't for me. We also had soft pretzels and beer cheese which I enjoyed. Our server was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere. I also enjoyed looking around the historic building to see if I could find any remnants of the old RC Cola plant - all I found was an RC vending machine. I took plenty of pleasure in watching the pups on the dog-friendly patio and watching the Smoky Mountain Railroad trains come and go. Overall, the atmosphere made for a good experience. read more

I was surprised to see such low ratings so went back to see why. It looks like consistent reports of overpriced and underwhelming food. For the record, I didn't eat here; I only had a beer. I waited in line twenty minutes for one beer. And there were only two people in front of me. There was only one bartender but there seemed to be waitresses for outdoor seating so not sure why it took so long. I wasn't in a rush though so I didn't mind. And she was friendly. The Rooster Beer was enjoyable, but it's really the expansive outdoor seating area that makes this place worth visiting. What I'm trying to tell you: If you want to drink beer and hang outside, highly recommended! If you want to eat and expect quality food, fair pricing, and quick service, you might want to consider other options. read more

While vacationing in Bryson City we passed by this brewery which had a large parking lot, outdoor seating with a large grassy area for the dogs. There was a small stage near the entrance for the nightly musician. The outdoor area is decorated with lights and fire pits and plenty of seating. We checked the reviews and they were mixed. Most notably was the overpriced beer and ciders and underwhelming food. We decided to give them a try just because of the inviting outdoor area. We brought our pups along and they were welcomed. Fresh water was brought to the table for them. Our server was Josh. He was delightful with a fantastic personality. He checked on us frequently and offered several suggestions from the menus. The drink he recommended was the pineapple jalapeno margarita, which is the one I was already eyeing. My husband enjoyed the ciderboys strawberry hard cider. We would suggest the can of cider to be accompanied by an ice cold glass to pour into. We ordered the huge pretzel with beer cheese and whole grain mustard. It was delicious with just the perfect amount of coarse salt. We also ordered the Speakeasy caprese flatbread. The flatbread was on the thin and crunchy side, much like a saltine cracker. We like it a bit more thick and softer. One of the toppings should be burrata. We didn't find any evidence of the burrata, it seemed more like very thin slices of soft mozzarella. Our server, Josh, did elevate our experience as did the outside seating area. Not sure we will return unless it's just for the drinks and outdoor atmosphere. read more

Great experience at Bryson City brewing. My friend and I showed up hungry after running a race at Tsali. Seated immediately at any table we chose. We chose the back bar area because a band was setting up. Our waitress/ bartender appeared to be waiting on the whole room but was doing an excellent job. We both ordered have pours of beer -- loved the Hellbender. Our food came out so quickly. I ordered the nachos with chicken and the chicken helping was generous. Band started and had so much energy -- such a friendly vibe of all ages in this place. And again, our waitress was killing it. Drinks refilled, napkins provided, etc. without ever having to ask and she had numerous tables. Will definitely be back if in the area. read more

We went here for dinner during a stay in Bryson City. The decor was very cute with a large elk and Bigfoot for fun photo ops. They had a large outdoor sitting area and a fun inside bar area. They were very pet friendly, which was great with the two dogs we had with us. The food was typical bar food, but my nachos were good and the kids enjoyed their burgers and wings. I had a cider that was delicious. Would definitely recommend for the fun outdoor atmosphere. read more

A cute brewery worth a stop if you're in the area! There's lot of indoor and outdoor seating, and a full food menu (not sampled during our trip). The service was great, and they had a good selection of beers on tap + live music when we visited. Big props that neither the stereo system nor the mics for the live music were too loud to inhibit conversation read more

Great vibe and great food and drink. Plenty of semi covered outdoor seating as well as a dual inside and outside bar. Service was outstanding and the food was good a plentiful. Also a great selection of various craft beers and sours. Definitely a must stop when in the area. read more

The server was FANTASTIC! The atmosphere was confusing... Animal planet on the tv, Elvis statue in the corner, Christmas icicle lights hanging from the ceiling, only one table inside occupied. The food was mediocre at best- not inedible, just not good. The beer was ok. If you've been to any local brewery, then you know what they offer. Nothing was something that stood out and made us want to come back for more. The server was super friendly and service was not lacking at all. I think this place has potential if they give the decor a boost and add some seasoning to the food. We wanted to like it... we really did want to. read more

I want to start by saying that our server was delightful. But I think she was the only one there for the whole place. They were out if most menu items. We were told this was because they're changing their menu. We ordered beers and our food. We waited quite a while, but like I said, I think our sever was the only one. The outside space was gorgeous. The inside was very dark and filled with locals. read more

We brought our dog with us two nights in a row, they were accommodating to him and even asked if they could bring a water bowl and let us know there was a $7 chicken breast option just for dogs if we wanted. Both nights I had the Shanty drink, house sour with beer topped. My wife had a NA beer. The first night my beer came in a tall glass, had more beer than sour, no salted rim (advertised) and was generally okay. I liked it enough that night so the next night I ordered it again with a different bartender. It came in a pint, more sour, and had the salted rim and was pretty good. Both nights I walked to the bar directly to order so can't speak to the service, but saw waitresses walking around lots both nights. Bartenders were nice both nights. We had a good time and enjoyed the husband/wife band that was playing. Appreciated the NA beer option. read more

Thought we'd try this place while on we were on vacation. Thought it was cool that they had fire pits to sit by and outside seating. It was later in the evening when we got there. Restaurant wasn't too busy. Which was nice. Waiter was friendly and informative about drinks and food. I ordered chicken tenders and tater tots. Hubby got the pretzel burger and tater tots. I got a Coffee Martini. Hubby got an IPA beer. Drinks came out pretty quick. Food wasn't far behind. Everything was hot, fresh and tasted really good. My drink was superb! I ended up getting a second one. Snuck up on me! Good thing I wasn't driving! Did not like that some guy who was there as a customer came up to our table asking for money in exchange for donuts or just a donation. Apparently he was in a car wreck with no insurance and isn't working. Did not care for that at all. Not sure why establishment lets this guy do this. Did not like that at all. If I was a local and this guy is here a bunch, I would be hesitant about returning. Don't want to be harassed while I'm out to dinner. Otherwise it was a good experience. read more

Very accommodating with bringing our dog who wasn't used to the public quite yet. Would definitely go back.

Whats up BCB!? We planned to go to live music last night for new years party. We looked at your online site. Nothing new on there, just the band thats going to be playing. So we get there and a sign is in front of the band area saying " reservations only " whatttt! So I asked the girl inside, she didn't know anything about it . BCB, you got to keep up with your online site. Where was it online about making reservations? Messed up our plans. read more

Great place to have a beer/cocktail. Friendly service. No cover charge for the band. Indoor and outdoor seating!

we had a great waitress but the bartender took so long to bring our drinks almost 35 minutes! Its sad because everything else was good. we realized it wasn't the waitresses fault read more

Dog friendly a plus. Everyone had burgers which all reported great. I had a Fig jam and brie flatbread. They cheapest out. Loaded it with fig jam very little brie and prosciutto. Over powered the flatbread. Felt as if I was eating sticky toast. Big problem was our waitress. It wasn't busy and had to ask for drinks, plates etc. Table ordered two blue Hawaiian drinks but they were green. Have no idea what we got! Watched tables leave after they got seated because the wait staff was not attentive. There was one guy working hard. Sorry to say we can't recommend read more

If your charging $20 per hamburger it better be handmade and cooked to perfection. The three of us asked for medium rare and they all came out well done. The burger patties looked like frozen burgers from Publix. They were dry and tough. They weren't even brewing their own beer. The presentation was good but the fries unfortunately were the star. read more

Typical brewery type restaurant with cool location by the train. Inside was neat would love to come at night when they have music. Came during the week and not busy. Service was personable and responsive. I had the very tasty bbq pork sandwich with sriracha sauce beans and coleslaw all were fantastic. Typically options on kids menu and the young ones did not have any complaints. I enjoyed the brewery's porter and amber beers. I would come back anytime read more

Got there and we were seated quickly. We first ordered drinks and an appetizer. The drinks came quickly but the appetizer took about 45 minutes. We ordered our food shortly after the drinks, this took well over an hour to be served. After an hour of waiting we asked why it was taking so long, we were rudely told it was because the kitchen was short staffed. The table next to us ordered after us and was finished eating and paying before our food came. We were told because we had a big group (8 people) our food would come out later. We later asked if people called out and that's why it was so short staffed, we were told that's always how many people work, so I'm guessing this service is fairly normal. read more

Food was not good. Fries and tenders were over cooked. Philly sandwich was fatty. Service was good. Atmosphere was as expected.

Not sure why this place has such low reviews?! My son and I went for lunch. He that the kids chicken strips meal. The chicken was tender and fries were good. I had the Bryson burger! It was delicious, the goat cheese was a nice touch on the burger. I had the their tap Mexican lager. It was tasty. All the staff was really nice and super helpful. Their outdoor area has corn hole, a lots of tables and canopies for shade! I will definitely go back read more

Felt sorry for the only 2 servers. Beer was flat, warm and the IPA tasted like the Wit. "pizza" was more like mozzarella cheese toast. There are much better choices in town read more

Food and Beer are overrated. Service is nonexistent. We stopped here a day ago, a Friday afternoon, for beer and some food. Self seated, it took 10 minutes for a server to stop by and leave menus. Another 10 minutes to come back and ask if we wanted to order, and she would be right back to take the order. After waiting another 10 minutes we decided to just leave. Decided to try again today, Saturday afternoon. We had Blue Mountain Hazy and a Pilsner. Both were watery tasting and disappointing for "craft beer". We ordered Chicken Wings and Nachos with Pork. Both were disappoint. The wings (10 for $15) were small and averaged the size of my index finger. We sat at the bar hoping that service there might be better. Not really. A check for $54 before tip is way over priced for the food and beer we received. Better to try someplace else. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite, but let me just say it wasn't quick. Staff was working extremely hard but I don't think they have everything quite choreographed yet. Once we did get a waitress, she did an excellent job serving us. There were a few mixups on our order with side items and dressings but that got fixed right away. Food was very good and I do recommend you give them a try. Just allot enough time to sit back, relax and enjoy a beer. read more

The service was awful, the wings are terrible, and everything from the drinks to the food was over priced.

Nice outdoor area but 35 minutes before a waitress took drink orders, and 1hr 10 min in and still no food... here at 3pm and not busy.

Seated immediately in nice indoor dining room. Waiter was prompt. Ordered appetizer, jalapeño poppers which were good. Tea was marginal at best. Ordered two cheeseburgers with fries. These were $20 a pop. They were preformed frozen burgers on pretzel bun. Fries were ok until I put ketchup on them. The ketchup is some off brand and is nasty. Overall service was good. Food was bad and was made worse with ketchup! Was here a couple of years ago and it was really good. To make matters worse a Servco delivery truck was parked right in front of the entrance and was blocking the road to exit. Had to back about 100 feet to the road. Two other vehicles had to do the same. Will not be back! read more

Tasty outdoor dining always tops our list of good spots on vacation. Bryson City Brewing has excellent outdoor space, chill cocktails, and good food. The cocktails are strong and have good portions. The food is delicious. We tried the Brussels app, which was more than we could eat. The Smash burgers are excellent and crispy. The shoestring fries are irresistible. The best part is a vast play yard with lawn games for kids. Dogs are also welcome! So chill and fun for everyone. The gluten-free options are non-existent. I had to order no bun, and it came out with a bun on the first try. It's easy to find dairy-free options. The service was a bit slow due to the dinner rush, but it's understandable on a holiday - Father's Day. Easy parking by the building, which used to be an RC cola factory! read more
