Buyer Beware: He deceptively told me I needed a new unit then stole the 3k deposit I paid him. He was not sober when we spoke, so I suspect this was to fuel an addiction. Two more companies came out and said he lied, and fixed the minor issue for under $200. Story: Miquel used to be honest. He is now an addict and thief. I paid Miquel a $3k deposit for an AC replacement he said I needed. Miquel failed to start the project and then informed me that he would not be completing the work and would refund me. Looking at his reviews and prior lawsuits, this theft is a pattern of behavior. It has now been a month, Miquel has gone MIA. He has failed to return my deposit and I am suing him. I had my unit inspected by two other HVAC companies who told me that he was lying and my unit is completely fine. He has been sued before for similar types of fraud and scumbag behavior. Honestly, I am relieved that he was too high to start the work in the first place because who knows what damage he would have done to my home. Miquel also made unwelcome sexual advances through text prior to running off with my money. He randomly sent me inappropriate photos -- I fear his theft is partially retaliation for rejecting his unwelcome advances. He is a predator who builds trust and relationships with his clients via smaller jobs to scam them with bigger jobs in the future. What a horrible, shameful and deceptive man. Unfortunately, I notice that through the years Miquel's once healthy appearance is replaced with a man who has lost significant weight, missing teeth, and now he is stealing from his long time, loyal customers. People in this position in life do not have a code of ethics or integrity. Dont allow him in your home. read more

Buyer beware! Maybe Miguel provided good HVAC service years ago, but, I used his service and his work is extremely unprofessional! He doesn't arrive at the agreed upon time. He takes long frequent breaks. But, most important, when he said the job was done, I could feel air leaking from around the entire furnace. He did a half-ass patch up job. A week later I turned on the heat to check the furnace and smoke and a foul smell filled my first floor. I called PSEG. They sent the fire department. The smell was not gas. However, Miguel failed to blow out the new heating system. The system started making a strange noise. PSEG arrived. They checked my furnace and realized one of the wires was coiled around the motor. This was a slip-shot AC/Furnace install. I'm just happy Miguel actually finished the job and didn't run off with the money. read more

I wish there was something under 1 star. misdiagnosed what was even wrong with my system in the first place had to pay someone else to come out , kept complaining about people stealing his wallet and he seemed like he was on drugs or something. read more

Scam artist. Ran off with a deposit for an unneeded new HVAC. No repair was provided or even necessary. Just a clogged pipe.

Stay away from this guy, do not waste your time and money. He is not professional or reliable. No work warranty not even one day. Asked for prepaid nonrefundable $65 service fee. Hired another HVAC technician and fixed the issue properly. read more

I couldn't ask for better service and can wholeheartedly recommend Bryant Home Services to anyone who needs central air service. Miguel was extremely friendly and responsive to my initial contact and gave me an estimate based on pictures I sent via text. I contacted him on Tuesday night, and he came out Wednesday morning to provide a firm quote, which was exactly in line with what he'd said the night before. He started work immediately and was done installing a brand new systemin several hours. On top of all of that, he charged far less than the next best quote and included a comprehensive warranty. I'm certainly going to use Bryant Home Services to install my central A/C when summer comes around. read more

Bryant Home Services - The new furnace installed and attached to my existing ductwork with space to add the A/C unit when I'm ready. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I had a 23 year old A/C and furnace that were starting to die so I contacted some HVAC contractors to have a new system installed. All of the contractors were professional and provided estimates for free but Miquel's (Miquel Bryant) was by far the lowest estimate. In fact, he was so much cheaper than the others that it made me suspicious. I did as much research as I could but couldn't find anything negative on him so I ended up giving him the job. He came out and got the job done in a day. Everything went smoothly and he's one of the friendliest, nicest guys you could deal with. read more

Miquel was unprofessional from the get. He cursed at me via text then did the job wrong and it hasn't passed inspection for 3 months as of today 8/27/2020. When I told him I'd pay him to finish the job he said I do t have to and that he'd help me but he hasn't finished the job and now he calls me to curse me out and tell me I'm wasting his time despite him being the one calling me. TRUST ME, don't give this guy a penny. I'm having my attorney get involved now. If you need it done fast and wrong call Miquel Bryant. If you need it done right call someone else. When you figure out who that company is, let me know. 3 months of jerking me off. Three months. Despite the license, he's good for nothing. read more

DON'T CALL THIS GUY HE WILL TRY AND SCAM YOU OUT YOUR MONEY!!! He told me to give him money for a part then he told to meet him to pick up the part and he never showed up told me to go inside and spend more money to pick it up. I get the part he said he would meet me at my house to install the 2 parts that he supposedly got the other part. He brought a used part to install instead of buying a new part with the money I already gave him for. He didn't do the job cause I didn't want him to use a used part when I paid for a new part. So I asked for my money back. He could keep the $65 service fee that he charge but I would like the rest of the money for my part. He wasn't trying to give me my money back saying he was broke and was on drugs. I had to call the cops to get my money back. DON'T USE HIM DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME HE IS NOT PROFESSIONAL AND WILL KEEP CONTACTING YOU TO DO THE JOB EVEN AFTER YOU TELL HIM YOU DON'T WANT HIM TO DO IT. read more

Yes, the AC unit in our Philadelphia condo stopped working during a peak summer heat wave. We contacted Miguel at Bryant Home Services and he came by within two hours to diagnose the problem. He gave us options to consider and explained them carefully, pointing out the financial considerations for each option. We decided to replace the old (14 years) unit with a new one. Yesterday Miguel brought over the new AC unit, hauled it up two flights of stairs, attached a rope to it and then lifted it onto the roof. He efficiently installed the new unit, hauled down the old one and then explained to us how to properly maintain our AC and how to register the product for warranty purposes. Problem solved. We now have a comfortable condo again - as well as peace of mind. Thank you Miguel and Bryant Home Services! read more

Scheduled an appointment for noon today. I reached out at 12:15 pm to check his ETA. He responds 20 minutes later stating he can be at the house in 40 minutes. Extremely unprofessional! Be cautious with using his services. Poor communication skills. read more

Even though I'm not using Miguels services he came over the next day after I called and I told him I wanted to have my oil system converted to gas and he was honest and said he doesn't do conversions and gave me a price on a whole new gas system he also said it would last longer than what I wanted and if and when I am ready he would do the job. He was completely honest and invited any questions I had and many people around where I live use him and his services. read more

Great service! Fast, professional, great communication, on time or early every time, and fairly priced. He came and assessed the issue the very next day, was able to get the parts we needed and installed the followed day. Everything is working perfectly! My only critique is that he did not wear a mask, but he did do a majority of the required work outside. read more

Terrible installation works like a hit & run . Brand new install & never pulled a vacuum & made quite a big mess & sloppy install , he knows all the shortcuts in the book . Very unprofessional & wasted my time & money what a mistake using this non professional. read more

Miquel provided me with amazing service, knowledge and professionalism. I had a old gas furnace & AC unit that I decided needed to be replaced. Miquel came over and told me nobody beats his pricing in the Philadelphia area and he proved it to be true after receiving 5 quotes his pricing beat out all the competition. He gave an extremely fair and lower price that included a good quality product recommendation. He offered to replace the units the next day which was fantastic. He answered all my questions and concerns which made me feel very comfortable. So if you reading this review HIRE him. He went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of the job was done to highest possible standards. Thank You Miquel read more

Miquel was quick to reply for a quote to troubleshoot issues with our AC. He came by and diagnosed the issue and fixed it within the hour for a super affordable price. We had two vents that weren't connected to the rest of the unit (yeah) and he hooked them up. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Miquel responded to my request within minutes and came out later that day. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and replaced the part. When he realized there was more that needed to be done, he was prompt and solved the issue within two days. Our AC is working like new! Plus very quick to respond and a very friendly guy! read more

TL;DR: Miquel has the best prices in town, but you should hire him if you are certain about the job that needs to be done. Miquel was able to set up an appointment quickly and did not charge for assessing the problem and providing an estimate. He started up by recognizing the old air filter and replacing it (he did it free of charge!) When the a/c still didn't work he went up to the roof to check the unit, and immediately said it doesn't work and should be replaced. He told me the unit is likely from 1991 and it is time to replace it. He urged me to buy a new one the same day and pay him $2,500 for the job. I'm happy I decided to wait and get a second opinion the following day. Yes, I paid $150 for the visit of the professional HVAC professional, but the difference was that the other person I brought did a more thorough check. He came with tools to check the unit on the roof, and immediately identified that the only issue is the control unit. After reading the code on the control unit, he understood that the a/c just got too cold due to the old filter so it shut itself down. After a restart, everything was working properly, and I saved $2,500!! He also told me the unit is from 2014, not 1991... I recommend hiring him only if you are sure what needs to be done. If the price estimate for repair is large, I suggest consulting with another company as well. (I decided to give three stars and not less to give him the benefit of doubt that this was just an honest mistake. He seems like a very nice guy.) read more

Used Miquel for couple jobs and resulted into total waste of time and money. I found Miquel to be knowledgeable of HVAC systems as well as true to his (advertised) word that no other company can be his prices. He is hard working and friendly. I recommended him to my parents who also found him to be a competent HVAC servicer and they will also be placing a review. read more

I sent out a few requests for quotes to get my refrigerant replaced since my A/C kept freezing. Miquel replied back pretty quickly that he could come by and give a free estimate. When he came, he did verify that the refrigerant was low and replaced it. As he was leaving, the A/C turned off and we both went "uh oh". He began troubleshooting some steps to see if it was maybe the thermostat or a blown capacitor. We went through the steps together to rule out exactly what it was. It wound up being the entire compressor needed to be replaced. I wasn't expecting to have to replace the entire unit that day, but Miquel did everything he could to try to avoid having to replace it. He gave me a fair quote for a new one and drove out immediately to pick it up. He got it installed in about an hour and stayed to make sure it was running. It's been over 48 hours now and my house has never been cooler. I work in IT, so I really appreciated him going through the troubleshooting steps and trying to find workarounds to save me money. In the end it wound up costing me a lot more than just the refrigerant, but Miquel only charged me for the HVAC unit itself and not all the troubleshooting steps beforehand (refrigerant, capacitor, etc.). He earned some trust with me and that goes a long way. read more

I contacted three contractors through Yelp. Miquel was the first to respond. I hired him. He came within the hour. He looked at the unit which was not heating and diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. After adjusting the water pipes so water did not accumulate the system started functioning as expected. He has a very pleasant demeanor and was very professional. Will definitely hire him again. Honesty is a rare commodity so he was a great find. Highly recommend him. read more

I would leave zero stars if possible. Miguel, owner/operator (?) of this business promises the most affordable HVAC repair/replacement options in the city. Recently bought a home and am in the process of finding my "guy" for everything. My HVAC stopped blowing cold air last night and I was sure another huge bill was headed my way. I reached out to several specialists on Thumbtack and Yelp. Miquel was one of the first people to reach out to me and offered to evaluate the problem free of charge (without the usual 50-85 dollar fee). I gave him a call and he actually walked me through how to solve my problem over the phone. He just as easily could have made a site visit and charged me a couple hundred bucks, I wouldn't have known the difference. As such, he will be my first call for all my HVAC needs. read more
