His service and knowledge is still right up there and in one visit he not only replaced the worn out parts of the shower but also fixed a couple of other minor things too. He arrived when he said he would and was done in less than 2 hours. Going by average online prices for this kind of work in our area, he again was a little less than what I expected. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

If you're looking for a plumber you can rely on, going forward, stay away, stay far away from this arrogant Bad News Company. During that time he or an employee have been to the house three times. Each time, between the time I called and when they showed up, things would start working properly again. So they would try to diagnose the issue based on my description and do what seemed to be appropriate, and things would be fine for a while but eventually the problem would recur. So yesterday he showed up with an expensive piece of equipment to properly diagnose the issue, and having done so, brought in another expensive piece of equipment to fix the problem. He was there for over two hours, and along the way, he mentioned what he normally charges for use of that equipment because of what it cost him. I was OK with it; I was just happy to have the problem finally fixed. But when he was done, he said that he wasn't happy about the past "misdiagnoses" and I shouldn't have to pay for them, and he ended up charging me about a third of what I was expecting. When I offered to meet him halfway, he said, "Sorry, I've already entered it into the system, nothing I can do." I can't promise that you'll get price breaks like I got on this occasion, but I can promise that you won't get ripped off, and that you'll get excellent service.

Water was entering my basement walls..it was a mess. He came as soon as he could. Cut into the wall and fixed the pipe. Explained that there was a pipe behind the wall for a washer/dryer--the previous owner never documented this or explained it to me (it's a very strange, rear-of-the-house mudroom that was an add-on.) For the second visit, I had a sewage back up. He came and diagnosed it, and fixed it by cleaning up the sewer line under the street. Apparently, my home piping is pretty sturdy and modern, but the pipes under the street are old and thin. So I have to be careful what gets flushed down my toilet. Yet another thing the prior owner didn't inform me of, and I had to learn at a cost to paying Ray from Streamline to fix. At least he was reasonable! I will definitely hire him again. In fact, I'm planning to contact him this weekend about a new water heater.

I value that they were honest, fair and prices are reasonable. They called to let me know when they were on there way and they were on time. The first time i used them i had a really bad clog in my kitchen drain, the clog was so bad it had to be removed from the pipe in the basement. They were able to remove the clog and backed their work with a 30 day guarantee. That gave me great peace of mind. The second time i used them was for a problem i was having with my stack pipe. I was fortunate to not need the entire stack replaced. The cap to the stack was decayed and so they were able to replace it. Just a note that they don't cover their shoes/boots so if you don't wear shoes/boots in your home or your concerned that they might track debris and etc. you might want to provide them with shoe covers. They get the job done right but they don't really clean up the work area. So be aware that the job will get done right, but you might need to go behind them and clean up the area they were working in. Overall a solid experience.

With it being a holiday weekend, most plumbers either weren't available or wanted nearly $300 just to show up without even guaranteeing any work. After calling around, we were referred to Ironside Plumbing & Heating, and I'm incredibly grateful we were. The technician arrived promptly, was professional from the moment he walked in, and immediately assessed the problem. He explained everything clearly, got right to work, and was able to snake the sewer line to clear the blockage. Considering the urgency and the holiday weekend, the price -- around $400 -- was more than fair, especially compared to what others were quoting. What stood out most was his professionalism, courtesy, and genuine expertise. He turned a stressful, disgusting, and time‑sensitive situation into something manageable, and we couldn't be more appreciative. We are extremely pleased with the service we received and would highly recommend Ironside Plumbing & Heating to anyone in need of reliable, honest, and skilled plumbing work.
