I brought a residential winter storm window that needed a glass replacement. Upon arriving, was greeted by owner, who seemed like a very nice guy and was very cordial (which is reason 1 of 2 why I gave him a rating of 2 stars instead of 1 star).
He told me he would be done with the job in 1 or 2 days because he already had glass in his shop. almost 2 weeks later, I called him and asked if the window was done. He said no and that he would need 1 or 2 more days. Another week went by and I heard nothing from him. I drove to his shop 4 times over the next 2 days and he was never there and the shop was closed. Finally, around week 3, I called him again on phone. He said the window was still not done. I explained that he had my window for 3 weeks and I wanted it back right away whether it was done or not (and I would take it to a different shop). He said he would do the job and have it ready within an hour or two, which he did do. He never apologized for the 3 week delay, simply gave me the window and asked for cash payment.
The quality of this simple job seemed to be no problem (reason 2 of 2 for 2-star review instead of 1-star review).
Bottom line - this was a very simple job that probably required less than an hour of his time and he should have had the window back to me in a day or 2 and he took 3 weeks only after I had to chase him down and threaten to take my business elsewhere. I will not be using Bryant Glass ever again. read more
