When we arrived, they were just doing counter service and closing for the afternoon, but we were able to get a panini and we found local craft beer (which was pretty neat) and they let us eat on their patio. I had the Iberian sandwich which has Iberian prosciutto, flamengo cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickled red onion. It was the perfect sandwich to cure my hangry. When we went for lunch the day before we did not know that this café was also the breakfast part of our bed and breakfast. We stayed at a bed-and-breakfast the next street over and both mornings a continental breakfast at this café was included. This is one of the best breakfasts I have ever had as part of the bed-and-breakfast. We were each served a portion of fresh fruit (which changed by the day), a boiled egg, a couple slices of ham and cheese, a pastel de nata, a basket of crossiants and rolls to share, and whatever you would like to drink. I had fresh squeezed orange juice, and a latte both days. Thankfully, like most places in Portugal they offer dairy alternatives. I honestly still dream about this breakfast. The wait staff on all of our trips were so friendly and helpful. It is really a beautiful set up and they have many things that you can purchase as well. I personally purchased a bowl shaped like a strawberry that I now have in my kitchen. This is definitely a stop. You need to make while in Sintra!

Overall, a decent place for food. Price was fairly reasonable

The prices were good too- nothing like a Pasteis de Nara for breakfast :) makes for a happy start of day. The bagels here were light and crunchy when toasted: I loved it! The croissant was also delicious and flaky- and that little chicken empanada packed a punch in its buttery soft crust: everything delicious! Enjoy!!

The lisbon burger tasted very similar to chicken and the portugal burger was more of a "bean" patty. The chips served on the side were so good. The pink humus with mushrooms was also so delicious! The shakshuka, part of the seasonal menu, was incredibly flavorful and bright. The tomato sauce was perfectly balanced, not overly acidic at all, and beautifully complemented by the green pea hummus, fresh salad, and red onion. It comes with exceptional homemade sourdough bread that is perfect for wiping up every last bit of sauce. My only tiny critique is that I wish the egg yolk had been a bit more runny rather than jammy, but it was still a delicious dish. For drinks, the Cremoso Iced Coffee is a total indulgent treat. Combining a double shot of espresso with vanilla, milk, and pastéis de nata ice cream, it is definitely on the sweeter side for coffee in Portugal. It feels more akin to a standard, sweetened iced coffee in America, but the blend of sugar, cream, and cinnamon made it the perfect vacation splurge. The interior decor is adorable, bringing lots of tropical, fresh, and welcoming vibes that are perfect for a cozy morning. Because the indoor seating is fairly limited, I can see it getting packed during peak hours. However, my party of three walked right in and got a table with no issues on a Monday morning around 9:00 AM. I would highly recommend Augusto if you're in the area and looking for a high quality, local brunch spot.

After the third time, the eggs were pretty much over cooked and had that bottom of the pan burnt taste. That sucks. Won't be coming back here.
