If I could give this Bruster's establishment a zero-star review, I would. I came here tonight with a couple of friends, hoping for a nice sweet treat. I had ordered a Strawberry Shortcake Sundae, and while I was eating it, I noticed there were no shortcake pieces inside it, only the strawberry topping, whipped cream, and cherry. When I went back to the counter to tell them about my messed-up order, the young girl who had taken my order was very rude and just said "my bad" when she realized what I had actually ordered. With no desire to fix the issue or to have any customer service at all, she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. As a manager at a Homemade Ice Cream shop, I believe that this type of issue could have been easily solved with minimal effort and decent employee work ethic. This was completely unprofessional behavior toward a paying customer, and I will no longer be returning to this location. read more

Their ice cream is top quality, no doubt. The service was good, but it was extremely awkward when the young lady at the register asked me if I wanted to leave a tip on my debit card. It's like they try to embarrass you into leaving a tip and I don't like that. Maybe if they pay their employees what they're worth, they wouldn't have to beg for tips. We decided to stop for a treat on our way back from the beach. The walk-up windows were closed, so we placed our order in drive-thru. We received fast, friendly service. Everything was made to order. My husband really enjoyed his chocolate malt... he said it's one of best he's had in recent memory. Not sure this is typical, but there were cars coming from a neighboring parking lot cutting into drive thru. It appears to slow down service for the cars already waiting in line. read more

We starting going to Bruster's a couple of years ago. Pumpkin cheesecake is one of our favorite flavors. Of course, just about any ice cream flavor is our favorite! Now we love Bruster's even more since we discovered our toddler can get a free baby cone! The prices seem a little higher, but I'm sure they are comparable to other ice cream shops around town. Yummy fresh homemade ice cream! The refreshing lemon sorbet tastes like the lemon ice from home! I LOVE how they are always adding new flavors...keeps things interesting. TOTALLY worth the wait in line! The only negative is that it can be tough reading the faded red/white drive-through menu during the day. I've watched/observed the Scoopers in their little fishbowl as I sit and eat my ice cream on the bench or as I wait in the drive through - these kids run their booties off!! PLEASE tip these kids!! I have been here before, but this time I brought my new doggie with me so she could have an ice cream treat with me. The person who waited on us was obviously new, but she didn't care what she did or what I said. First thing I told her was to give me a doggie sundae and then I ordered a small sundae for myself. She gives me mine first with no whip cream or cherry looks at me and says "Have a nice day". I'm like where is the whip cream and cherry? And where is the doggie sundae? It took her forever to make 2 small sundaes, ring up the order and give me my punch card. Normally service is excellent, but today it wasn't so great. read more

I rarely leave reviews but I feel like I have to now. Took my 5 year old grandkid here. We both had waffle cones. Mine was vanilla and peach ice cream. Grandkid had peach and birthday cake. First - the waffle cones were so thin that one of them was cracked with ice cream seeping out. They had a pinkish hue to them and tasted synthetic. Not the delicious thick waffle cones you'd get at Kilwins. The vanilla ice cream had almost no flavor. The peach ice cream was pink with no peach flavor and no peaches in it. And the consistency of the ice cream was mushy almost like pudding. Tasted very synthetic. My 5 year old grandchild, who is an ice cream connoisseur said "this is dumpster ice cream". The reviews I had read were mostly positive with a few not so great ones but I thought we'd try the place. Makes me wonder if the place has new owners who have downgraded the quality. Bruster's has such good chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. My boyfriend and I love to visit their drive-through occasionally to pick up one of their sweet treats. It's not quite as rich as Cold Stone(which is my favorite ice cream place), but it's still very filling. I get their medium sized portion in a waffle cone and it's TO DIE FOR! A con of this place is that it's rather pricey for ice cream. Bruster's has a BOGO coupon in the Attraction's book that we always use, but if they didn't have this, I probably wouldn't go. Nice little ice cream place. We really came for chocolate chip ice cream but they were pretty much out of everything chocolate chip. So we went with the Oreo Mint Ice Cream on a waffle cone. I absolutely love waffle cones. The ice cream was great. I also got a scoop of strawberry ice cream but that was just okay. I'm used to Strawberry Ice Cream with bits of strawberry in it and this one did not have any.
