The options are somewhat limited but the soft serve is wonderful! Watch out if you have kids because soft serve melts fast, bring some wipes too as extra napkins were hard to come by here. We went back multiple times on our stay though, our kids loved the flavored ice and we enjoyed the soft serve! It's a small outdoor spot with limited seating so be ready to enjoy your treat while standing. read more

This place was a good little late night snack place! Was in walking distance to our air bnb and we enjoyed it!

So many ice cream places to choose from and you know it's good when there's a line. Came here for the assortment of soft serve and it did not disappoint. Blueberry cheesecake soft serve and orange dreamsicle hit home. Flavors are spot on and delish read more

It's a walk up ice cream bar. They do have food, but we all had ice cream cones. I had coffee. It was great good coffee flavor. Like eating a cup of coffee with cream. Yum! The family all said they give it two thumbs up as well. It gets crowded, but don't let that deter you. They are good at staying friendly and keeping the line moving. Many people seemed to walk. We drove and have no problem with parking in their private lot. read more

Nice little ice cream stop close to the beach. It was a nice treat to stop for on the way back to our Airbnb. My partner got the cotton candy soft serve while I got the coconut. Both were good but I liked the coconut best. Good service as well. read more

Fun Time Ice Cream is a nice spot to grab soft serve, milkshakes, sundaes and much more. We ordered a variation of ice cream from soft serve cones, milkshakes and sundaes. All were good to cool yourself down from a hot day. The staff was friendly and the prices are reasonable for ice cream. Parking is limited but fine if you get there before or after the busy times. read more

While my shaved ice was amazing I'm not a fan of the bowl it's served in - so I asked for it in a cup with soft serve - my own cream slush, and I'm local, I know things are overpriced touristy - but a 20 oz cup of shaved ice, syrup, and maybe 1/3 cup of ice cream (I wish that I would have weighed in on my food scale when I got home) - either way it was $9.42. That's just a scam. In my opinion, you should offer at least a size selection but than it might be harder to justify $6 price on shaved ice and syrup. I guess my next craving will be tied in a trip to Target and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the machines at sonic are not broken. read more

When a beach is quiet and on the off season and your craving a burger after volunteering at Fort Fisher Aquarium,Fun Time Ice Cream does not disappoint! The service is fabulous and quick and the food is wrapped individually perfect! So yummy and perfect way to eat on the ferry ride home! Typical soft serve ice cream. I ordered peach in a cone and it was very good- creamy and delicious! It was crowded and the parking lot is rather small. Everyone was on edge about social distancing. We couldn't really eat there, so we ate in the car. read more

Fun Time Ice Cream - Peach in a cone - Shaved Ice Near Me - Carolina Beach, North Carolina

The best soft serve in CB! Giant shaved ice that makes my kids smile, a ridiculously chewy ooey gooey brownie sundae that exceeded expectations, avalanches delicious, and good old creamy soft serve in a cone that you can never go wrong with. We tried all the ice cream places in town. Hands down Fun Time is THE spot. The staff are always so friendly and service is fast. We love it! read more

Best soft serve hot fudge sundae you can get! The service is fast and flavors are great! My only negative is the lack of area to sit and eat your ice cream on a busy summer night. The two benches get too crowded with the line right next to you. And since you're right on the road, it's just not really the best hang out spot. That's the only negative. read more

The ice cream is so good and the amount of flavors they have is amazing. Staff could be a bit better, but they are still very nice and will help with everything you need. It's a nice little takeout shop with benches in front of it. Fabulous ice cream. Love it. So friendly. Gave my dog a pup cup for free without asking for it.

I was excited that this was right across from our room and we could walk over there in about 3 minutes. I wasnt excited for very long. We got hotdogs and took them back to our room, intending to eat them and go back for shaved ice. We did not like the hotdogs and we never went back to try anything else. I got the hotdogs all the way and paid an extra .25 cents each for cole slaw on each one which is how I always order my hotdogs. I should preface this by saying Yes, I am an adult and Yes, hotdogs are my favorite food. This is my first time ever seeing a place charge for slaw and as it turned out I shouldnt have bothered. Other than the really good, soft bun that seemed like a potato or egg bun the hotdog was inedible, completely disgusting! This was by far the worst slaw I have ever had, it had some weird flavor to it and I have no idea what it was, nothing I have ever tasted before and nothing I want to taste again. We didnt want anything else from there so we never went back. For what they charge, I expect a gourmet or really good hotdog, these were neither. Go to the grocery store get a pack of ball park primes and throw then on the grill. Much better option. read more

My partner and I decided to take a trip to fun time ice cream for a sweet treat. Unbeknownst to us, our lives were going to be permanently altered. The place is unsuspecting from the outside, but the magic that occurs on the inside is truly something special. We approach the window and place our order, one swirl cone dipped in rainbow sprinkles and one cup of cake batter dipped in Oreos. As quick as I spend my paycheck, our ice cream arrived. Upon the arrival of our treats, I felt a flutter in my stomach, the rainbow sprinkles seemed to glow with beauty unforeseen except in the deep mountains of West Virginia. As my heart beat faster I tried my cone, and tongue swelled with joy. Yum! This cone reminded me of my youth, where nothing mattered except me and my friends locating our next coors light. It reminded me of the euphoric drive home from my sneaky links house. It reminded me of my excitement when I receive my latest temu package. And finally, it reminded me of true love. With the blink of an eye, my cone was gone, and a hole was left into my heart that has yet to be healed. It has been days since I've been to fun time ice cream and I find that I am starting to experience withdrawal symptoms such as cold sweats and hives. But all in all, that ice cream cone changed my life for the better, and I think my purpose in life is to chase a feeling such as the one I experienced whilst eating my swirl cone dipped in rainbow sprinkles. read more

This is a cute soft serve ice cream place with a nice location. I wish they was more seating outside. They have hamburgers, hot dogs and chili if you don't want ice cream. read more

The funnel cake is amazing so are the fries. The ice cream could be better, but it is still good. The employees are always at the front and are fast taking orders. My family and I took a vacation down to Carolina Beach where we discovered this excellent little Ice Cream shop literally 4 houses down from where we stayed!! We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food as well as the ice cream!! We hit them up at least 4 times on our 4 day stay if not more. They have something everyone will enjoy. The service was top notch too. There were young people working and they done an excellent job! Sometimes you don't always get that sort of service or attitude from the young generation at food places! This was all around a great place to visit and get to enjoy their delicious treats. Not to mention they serve funnel cakes, hotdogs, burgers, chili cheese fries to name a few. Excellent A++ read more

Cute little walk-up Ice cream, hot dog, and burger shop close to the beach. This is further down Carolina Beach from the boardwalk headed towards Kure Beach. It's great for people staying the houses further down. There aren't really places to sit to eat, but there are a few benches to sit and wait for your food. The prices are reasonable for a hot dog stand as well. The menu includes shaved ice, ice cream, sundaes, hot dogs, burgers, and fries. I just needed a snack on this visit so I ordered plain fries and they were good. Definitely a great place to grab a quick bite to eat in the area away from the Boardwalk. This establishment has it's own parking lot as well, but it's a quick walk from the beach and many of the houses and hotels around. read more

We were looking for some good shaved ice before we left the beach, and this fit the bill! It was delicious! It had very big portions (no one in my family could finish theirs), so I recommend sharing an order. They don't have a lot of flavors of shaved ice, but they have all the most popular flavors (they also have root beer which I thought was unique!). Not a lot of outdoor seating or parking, but the perfect grab and go spot. The employees were all wearing masks, and they were very friendly and considerate. read more

Definitely not worth the money. Worst hotdog that I have ever eaten! Once again I should have read the reviews before going!

This place has the best soft serve ice cream, salty fries that are sliced thin and HotDogs in the area. The hotdogs are like stand hotdogs with chili sauce. Though everything is made to order, this is not McDonald's. So chill, relax and look at the cool flavors while you wait. read more
