Everything looked clean and welcoming if I had wanted to sit outside and enjoy a cone, but this was a mission. Ice cream was needed for the holiday weekend and the family was counting on me. I was bummed to see Graham Central Station off the menu, but the staff came through like champs and recommended Tin Lizzy, a vanilla base with caramel and chocolate-covered toffee bits. It was a solid pick. Also grabbed a pint of Chocolate Buckeye for the kids. The lady helping me wasn't sure if she had enough Buckeye to fill the pint and offered some backup flavors just in case. I was walking around the town center for some exercise and to play a little Pokemon Go (there are 4 pokestops in this area) and came across this ice creamshop. I've never tried Brusters despite it being a famous chain, so I stopped to take a look at their menu. They have a lot of different ice cream flavors and will make a milkshake out of any one of your choosing. I ordered the mint oreo, and it tasted like a Girl Scout thin mint cookie, loved it! Though I do wish I'd tried their seasonal pumpkin ice cream in my shake instead. There are whole maraschino cherries in it and you get a lot. I feel like there was a whole jar in my two scoops Lol. I love it though. I am really hoping they bring back the Jamaican me crazy flavor. No bathrooms, no inside seating, and no ability to see the ice cream. -The bathrooms are an issue because we often need to wash up after, and with little kids we also just need a bathroom often. We sneak next door but never like it. -Inside seating would be nice in FL where not just the heat, but the unexpected storms cause issue. On this trip, we were caught in an unexpected rain. - I like seeing the ice cream before I choose, as it often helps me know more and try something new. The good? Stopped here on a whim when I was in Argyle. Happy to report that they have a small dog ice cream cup. It comes with a dog bone on top. I ordered an ice cream cone with toffee crunch ice cream which was really tasty. The store was quite busy and there was a short wait. The staff was friendly and kind and helpful and I enjoyed my visit. My only beef with this place is that there is no inside, you walk up to the window and then you sit outside at some metal picnic table type things. This is Florida, you can't hang out outside in the summer without sizzling. What that does is guarantee that your ice cream melts all over you as you walk away from the window. Even if they just invested in say an awning or something to cover that patio area at least the sun wouldn't instantaneously melt your ice cream to a puddle.
