After she left the room, I overheard another nurse, I think it was Monica C. give her a hard time for taking too long in the room. That made me feel bad for her. Dr. Daniel Shiba also was wonderful. One appointment, make three trips and gas prices are not even cheap these days. I drive about 30 minutes to the place so now I have to give my self and hour just to make it to the appointment. The following day an older man and his daughter showed up two minutes late for the appointment and they refused to check them in.They were both upset about the situatio. The older man left and the daughter was upset she left came back and demanded to see the supervisor. They denied her and claimed there's no supervisor availabe. The lady was upset, created a scene refused to leave and then eventually they decided to call them in. The Medical assistant that took care my child was very mean while giving the shot she looked very upset don't know why. My child ended up bleeding and she claimed the patient should not be moving. Overall experience for the children were very awful. They did not wanted to go to the place in the first place.

My elder sister was referred to Glenbrook ER from urgent care. The waiting room was full. They triaged her and started an IV for fluids, and put her back in the waiting room in a wheelchair. They gave her one that had a broken footrest even though there were others available. Not a huge deal but also not very comfortable, especially for a petite person. (They did give her another when I asked.) There were many people in the waiting room with IVs, people vomiting into emesis bags, people coughing, people moaning in pain. Some were masked and some were not. There were several recliners and lucky patients snagged one to sleep in. We arrived at 4 pm and I got one for my sister at around 10 or 11 pm. At 11 pm, I asked how much longer it would be and was told there were still 6 people who had arrived before her. Also, there were 16 patients in ER beds who needed to go upstairs but there were no beds. She finally was taken back at 1 am and saw a doctor at 2 am, a 10-hour wait. They were going to admit her and run more tests, so I decided to go home and get some sleep. Then at 4 am I learned that they were transferring her to Evanston because they had a bed. We had a good experience with the doctors and nurses. But the system is broken. In the future, if we have another option, I'd do that instead.

At Glenbrook mammography was so very kind doing my mammogram. She smiled, apologized for being late, helped me in all ways possible and kept encouraging me I was doing a great job. She was such a sweetheart after a long wait, I hugged her and she made me smile. On my way out, I asked for help at the reception desk as I parked at the wrong entrance and got quite lost going into the hospital. Laurie K. Was so nice! She even took time to walk me out and walk me all the way to the easiest exit to where my car was parked! I also got a hug from her so as I made my long walk back to my car, I smiled all the way! They both told me they could call someone to help me leave but I declined that. I have severe leg neuropathy so walking is difficult and painful. It's so wonderful when a smile, some encouragement and...a hug can turn a bad experience into a good one! Couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of care (thoroughness, knowledge, advice and outstanding communication / people skills - huge differentiator over my prior doctor). The rest of the onsite team I interacted with was terrific too - warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, efficient - all around great experience. Had a follow-up appt today via zoom. Again - great experience. Your model works great for me as I travel quite a bit and being able to get care in different locations in person, via app or video call is super important to me. Truly grateful for the excellent quality of care along with the innovation which makes getting healthcare so much easier!

And FYI for any OB patients, my mom had an ER c-section, and she was calm and professional the whole time, and she stitched my mom up by hand! Trust me; I saw it with my own eyes! Find me an OB that still does that and not nasty staple! I worked all of college for a large OB/GYNE group and they used staples and even though I worked there over 4 years, I wouldn't trade my doctor for any of them!
