    Ranchero Eggs

A great new Mexican spot on Franklin St In Wake Forest. Now in soft-opening mode, this new restaurant has opened in the former Aye Toro storefront. The interior is designed and laid out the same, but renovated to be more upscale. The new place is owned by the same folks as Tlaquepaque, so for sure they know their way around Mexican cuisine. The name sounds perhaps more confusing than the concept. Bruma is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast (brunch) menu is extensive and delicious. Lunch/dinner menu not quite as extensive but still all of your favorites plus some imaginative unique offerings. The drink menu is heavy on house-specialty drinks, complementing the full bar. The 2 times I've visited, there were only a few patrons. They're taking the soft opening seriously and making sure that operations are smooth before they start promoting. The experience both times was top notch. Service is attentive and quick. Time from order to service 10 minutes. Food is beautfully plated and is as pleasing to the eye as to the belly. First visit, tried a Birriarita and Papa Ranchera. Birriarita is a wonderful burrito, stuffed with juicy, savory birria, rice, beans, cheese, onions and cilantro and then griddled crispy. It's sloppy because of the delectible cup of sauce for dipping. If you're a birria fan, this is for you! Papa Ranchera is a stuffed baked potato. Chose steak as the protein, grilled to perfection and piled high, topped with onons, cheese, bacon plus chipotle sauce. Never had a Mexican take on a loaded potato, but this one hit the mark. The potato was baked perfectly - moist and creamy. A great combo. Thanks to our served Madison - great job! Second visit, tried Ranchero Eggs. Ranchero Eggs is classic juevos rancheros and is excellent! Everything seasoned perfectly, eggs sunny-side up as ordered. Thanks to our server Izzy, who dazzled us with her friendly charm and made sure the meal was just right. There are literally 12 other things on the brunch menu I want to try - will definitely be back! Welcome to Wake Forest, Bruma. Wishing you success.

I felt like I was dining in a Five Star restaurant in Dallas, TX. Tge decor was enchanting. Tge servers were attentive and courteous. The food was delicious. I loved their coffee. I look forward to returning. Such a delightful dining experience right here in Wake Forest. Prices are average for the market.

We got the 12 tacos and they were really good (awesome deal also!). The service was great we sat outside with our dog and our waitress was very accommodating. The outside patio is a really nice vibe, they even had the fan spinners for the table to keep flies away which was a nice bonus. We came for brunch last weekend too and the meals were great then also. Really glad Bruma is open now, we will be coming regularly!

We celebrated 6 birthdays & had a blast!!! The food & drinks at Bruma was awesome, the hospitality was above & beyond, and the restaurant ambiance was perfect.... We had too much fun & didn't picture the food, it was all delicious!!! Definitely would recommend this place & we will return.

Visited twice. Ordered the Chimichurri steak and eggs the first time then the traditional breakfast the second time. Food was good, but overpriced. Service was great and the decorations made the place feel high end. Recommend they drop the prices or provide low cost alternatives/menu items.

Chips and salsa was soo good

Really REALLY good Mexican food at this spot in Gateway Commons. It was packed on a Weds night,…read morealways a good sign! Menu is straighforward, all of the usual Mexican fare is listed. Tried the Fajita Quesadilla. A beautiful and well stuffed quesadilla is grilled then quartered for the plate. Served with rice and shredded lettuce, guac, pico and sour cream. The portion is big, it's served piping hot within minutes. Margaritas are cold and well mixed - not too strong, not too weak. Shout out to Luis, who took care of us. He is super-attentive, charming, funny and pleasant and does a great job. As an example - we split our entree... and without being asked he brought an extra plate. This might not seem like a big deal, but somehow this nearly never happens unless we ask. Great work, Luis - thank you! This may well turn out to be our go-to Mexican spot in town. GO!

So we tried the one in Heritage Commons - COMPLETE GAME CHANGER! The food and drink was even better because the staff was friendly, engaging and efficient - and the decor and ambiance wa-a-aay more pleasing and comfortable. I got the exact same things - margarita, wings, and carne asada burrito - the tastiness and presentation of the margarita made my eyes roll back in ecstasy - and the food was delish. I've seen other Yelper's reviews, mostly positive, and gotta tell ya: GO EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF - you won't be disappointed. Very affordable, relaxing and unpretentious - the robot server was a nice surprise and perfect accent. GO. SOON.

When he brought the bread and oil, he was able to take balsamic vinegar and draw the number 25 on the dish (we are soon to celebrate 25 years of marriage). Our 1st course was a plate of Crustini, prosciutto, provolone, burrata and balsamic marinated tomatoes. No problem finishing that. The atmosphere of this place is semi-casual. We were tucked in a little corner of a semi-private room, but could hear the patrons around us. Yet, it was not bothersome. For entrees, we both got pasta. My husband ordered the spinach noodled lasagna, which he told me was great. He couldn't finish his portion. As for me, I got the chicken parmesan with spaghetti. You can tell they used San Marzano tomatoes in their sauce. So good. I too, could not finish, so we get to eat this again. Make a reservation so you don't take a chance as a walk-in or bar patron. We loved that they said our name when we arrived at the proper time. Our waiter told us that the owner is from The Bronx, but he traveled to Bologna, Italy, and gets inspired by the dishes he tried there. Menu changes daily. We love that he went and treated us to some special treats (the dessert was a Limoncello tart. The top of the custard was bruleed, and it was served with tiny spoons and a dollop of real whipped cream. The plate was sauced with raspberry puree. Oh, the bottom was a crunch crust to add texture and flavor. Last thing, my Moscato D'Asti was imported from Italy. I like the pear flavor that comes through while drinking this chilled, bubbly wine. I hope you go there and try someone from the new menu. It will be nice to go again.

It had a solid crunch out the outside and it was still flavorful and rich on the inside. The steak was exceptional. Perfectly booked medium rare throughout with a perfect sear. I would suggest this place for a nicer meal with gluten free options. The Wine Barrel side is more casual, which was nice for us because we wanted a good meal but also wanted to watch the NFL playoff game.
