But that is experience is how this is even 2 stars. The fluff and fold service has been an entirely different story. I even gave it a 2nd chance.. First time- I scheduled a pickup after a long trip so had a lot. I realized I had questions and needed another laundry bag so I took the laundry and asked if I could just drop it off rather than it get picked up. I was told no problem, he'd just change it on my order so the drivers didn't come to pick it up. I asked if I could buy 2 of the large laundry bags because I had 2 full in the car plus a full basket of clothes not in bags. I was sold two of the (granted very nice) handled medium bags and told they didn't have (the less expensive) large bags. I then walked next door to wash my blankets and saw staff giving two people the large bags and more in the vending machine. While washing the blankets I got a message that the drivers were on way for pickup. I went back to double check so a driver didn't come and was told it was just automated text. I went home only to have drivers ring my doorbell for the pickup. Then 30 minutes later I received a message my order was cancelled because no laundry. I was running errands so I stopped in person because the order was cancelled on the site/app too..and they had ALL my clothes. After some back and forth and calls to their other facility they found my clothes and I was told it was back in system. Cut to next day and I get message my order has processed -- I look at total and it does not include the first-time promotion that had been in previously. I call and am told this is my second order. Except it isn't. They just created a 2nd order after wrongly cancelling my first order. Eventually I'm told I will get a refund for the promotion and that my laundry was out for delivery. Cut to a couple hours later and I receive a message it has been delivered (no knock or doorbell this time), I go to look except I can't open my apartment door!..I'm literally trapped inside because the hanger items were on my door handle and across the door jam with the bags against them. I had to call building security to help me get out..only to discover that a whole set of hanging items were missing AND that my random laundry bags that I had brought in were replaced with the large branded ones I was told weren't available the day before. After a call that was more reassuring than previous conversations I received a call back that the driver would return shortly with the now located missing clothes. In the meantime, I began to unpack the clothes and found that while many things had been hung up a number of button downs and linen items had been folded tightly so needed steamed but I had not specified those not be. The missing clothes did get delivered quickly. Second try..I received promo texts and the neighbors who had first recommended trying them out convinced me to give it another shot. This time I just let it get picked up and I added the additional instructions asking that button downs and pants not be folded. This time I also just had their two branded medium handled bags I had purchased in lieu of the unavailable large regular bags -I labeled the one bag as hang to dry and included many of the hangers from the last time as the bag was only half full (and included that in all the order notes). The other bag was very full --however last time it was the two full medium bags plus 1.5 very full large bags. But I received the total this time and the weight is MORE than last time??? Then I walked up to the delivery at my apartment and the hanging clothes are blocking both my door and my neighbors' across the hallway floor (picture) and as I am unpacking them finding button downs and linen pants etc folded plus the regular folded items are folded in three different ways, directions..one of the whole reasons to do the service is can just put them away but now I have to refold 2/3 of the shirts.

Most recent drop off was the regular-learned-the-hard-way-not-to-wash clothing items and hubby's fave à la Mr. Rodger's cardigan. Stretched out button holes, it had become incapable of keeping him snug, cozy. $8 per to tighten them = snug, cozy. I truly would have messed up this repair. ALL items cleaned with care, packaged appropriately ready to be worn this coming fall/winter. Short term drop-off/pick-up parking at entrance off of Westwood Boulevard and Holman Avenue. We usually walk to Sterling Cleaners for drop-off but pick-up via our car(s). Made the mistake at pick-up by parking in an employee only zone. Fortunately, thanks to efficient staff, I was only in an employee's space for mere minutes. Whew! Check-in on Yelp but there's no longer a discount along with it. When I mentioned this we were given a 25% off neighborhood courtesy. Sterling Cleaners now prefers a Google review but I'm gonna stick with Yelp.

They are all so kind and responsive when I call to request a service. I recently dropped off one of my work suits and it was ready in four business days. They always text or call to remind me that my dress or suit is ready to be picked up. When I brought the dress in the owner looked at the dress, including through all the layers and even made a comment about how nice the dress was and how many layers there were, and told me it would cost $30. It was more than I expected for a single dress but I paid it and gave her the dress. When I went to pick the dress she said that they had to charge me an additional $10 because the dress had too many layers (and because they had to put it on a special hanger and use extra plastic to cover it -- none of which I asked for). When I told her that she already inspected the dress (which she most certainly did) and gave me the price $30 it is unfair to go back on that price and request additional money now that she had the dress in her possession. Every business has the right to charge however much they like, but if I had been told it would have cost $40 from the start I would have simply gone elsewhere. But if you agree to a sale price you have to honor that. They put me in a position where I had no choice but to pay the additional money because they were still in possession of my graduation dress and I needed it. And the owners demeanor was very rude and dismissive throughout this whole interaction.

They have all the machines and everything is done with a digital card and an easy payment system. It's good for me because I don't like lugging quarters around. PS It's actually good that they're next to a 7-Eleven because I was able to get drinks and snacks. But they also have vending machines, so there are plenty of options.

Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere clean and reputable…read more I went there yesterday to wash my bed linens using the Super Wash cycle with what I believed was hot water, based on the machine's button setup. The controls are unclear -- there are four buttons, with one labeled "Super Wash" and another labeled "Hot," which reasonably leads you to assume you select both the cycle type and water temperature. However, there is no clear confirmation that hot water is actually being used. After washing and drying my sheets, they were still visibly filthy and covered in what appeared to be dog hair. I'm not sure whether the contamination came from the washer or the dryer, but either way, my linens came out dirtier than when they went in. I ended up having to take everything to a reputable laundromat I've used before and pay to rewash it all. Total waste of time, money, and energy. As others have pointed out, the facility itself is noticeably dirty -- and there was a "worker" there. I should have trusted my first instinct and turned around the moment I walked in. Lesson learned.

The shirt in particular had a bad stain that I could not get rid of, but Eco Coastal CLeaners succeeded! My other items were returned clean and freshly pressed. One of the great things from Eco Coastal Cleaners is that they're mobile, so the entire process of dropping off and delivery was very convenient. I interacted with Larry. I submitted a request for a quote through Yelp, which he responded quickly to. I reserved a pickup date through their website, Larry came to pick up and gave me a time estimate for the cleaning (2 days because I wasn't in a hurry). Throughout the process, Larry was very communicative and gave me a 30 min head's up when he was about to arrive. Prices were also reasonable. Larry accepts all form of payments, and I ended up using Venmo. Everything was very convenient and professional, and I would definitely recommend.
