This location is clean and well kept. The everything bagel was very tasty and the brisket sandwich was as well. The service just okay.

Egg & Cheese with Sausage on Asiago Parmesan

I never really get an overly upbeat vibe from the staff here, but they're always kind and tend to work pretty quick. There's certain places I'm pretty basic and consistently get the same and this is one of them. Sausage egg and cheese sandwich and I tend to rotate bagels I'll have it on. Recently and on this particular visit I've been getting the Asiago Parmesan for the extra 60 cent? Always turns out great. To match my consistency in ordering, it's always a consistent experience which works for me. In and out quick. If they aren't busy, parking is relatively easy for a quick in and out on the street (parallel) otherwise this little area seems kind of cumbersome to navigate traffic pattern wise with the cross streets and red lights.

I've been to plenty of Bruegger's and this establishment is basically the same, however the one thing that kept them from a forth star was the prep of the bagel. We asked for toasted and it seems their oven temp is set a bit low. The bagel was not toasted but rather just warmed up, the result was a chewy bagel not toasted. However, there was plenty of staff on hand, so food was received in a timely manner. Also a nice variety of bagels to choose from.

Herby Turkey - barely any Turkey or cream cheese

Staff was friendly. Unfortunately it seems they barely put anything on their bagel sandwiches anymore. This was the smallest herby Turkey I've ever gotten.

The young woman, I forget her name, was upbeat and welcoming. I told her it was my first time and she gave me suggestions and explanations. I changed my mind once or twice and usually you are met with eye rolls at other places, but that wasn't my experience here. She had no problem and actually told me I made the better choice in her opinion. Little things like that go a long way. The food! Overall, I'm not a huge breakfast person. I typically eat yogurt or a simple egg dish. This breakfast sandwich is the best I've ever had. From the runny egg cooked to perfection, fresh avocado slices, crispy bacon, and the bun. The bun! Seems sill to bring so much attention to a bun, but it was fresh, soft, warm, and chewy. I want to buy all their buns. SHOUT OUT TO THE COOKS! ‍ I tried a mint tea and guava kombucha that were both refreshing. Not pictured is a peach danish and pistachio croissant that I cannot wait to dive into. I will definitely be back.

But one day the craving of a cinnamon bagel hit and I had to go get it. If you don't have the app or enrolled already, make sure you sign up because they offer a free bagel for your first visit! Cinnamon bagel with strawberry cream cheese: I forgot to ask for my bagel to get toasted but definitely recommend a warm bagel vs room temperature. For me, the cinnamon bagel now does not hit the same spot as it did years ago when I last had one. It's just sweet and good but not the original good. I was a bit sadden because my craving was not fully satisfied. But overall still a good bagel. Egg, bacon, cheese: I actually liked this bagel more, it was hot and delicious to be honest. A good filling breakfast. On the side note: the day I went a customer in front bought 1/2 a dozen of bagel, left the store and the bag ripped maybe and bagels fell out. They came back to the store and manager was able to replace the full orders even though customer said some didn't fall out of the bag and tried to salvage what was left. Customer service is great! Definitely will be back for more bagels. It is located conveniently inside a plaza with shopping stores so get lunch and breakfast because they don't open for dinner :)

Today I tried their Roast Beef on Weck, which is carved roast beef on a type of roll called a Weck (a Kaiser-style roll topped with coarse salt and caraway seeds.). The restaurant was busy, and this is not a trendy place! I'd be surprised if there was anyone in the restaurant who was not of Medicare age (which also describes me; I'm not being ageist, just truthful). This is something that is available for lunch, during the week (not on weekends). Previously, I wanted to order this before. It was at the beginning of the lunch hour, so unfortunately the end pieces were cooked well-done. I asked if they would cut from the center, which is much more rare, but they wouldn't do that. This time, we came later and I could see that the roast beef was gloriously rare, which is what I like. The sandwich was quite enjoyable because it was juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of cole slaw which is vinegar based (which I liked, but isn't traditional in the Midwest). It's difficult to find good, rare roast been in the Twin Cities, so this was another good find. My wife had the matzo ball soup, which remains high quality. The beef on weck sandwich (with coleslaw) was nearly $20, which is a bit on the expensive side. The service is spotty. It depends upon who is your waitstaff person (I knew it would be slow based on our previous experience with this person).
