Haven't been to a Bruegger's bagels in years! I planned to go to another coffee shop but they were too busy so I decided to come here instead. It was busy in the morning when I walked in but after ordering the entire place cleared out. Lots to look at on the menu, ranging from sandwiches to bagels, to pastries and coffees. The Reuben bagel I ordered was delicious. The drink was pretty good too. A good breakfast spot before work or on a nice weekend morning. read more

I seriously have to doubt a place that thinks that this is anywhere near a sufficient amount of cream cheese for a bagel. Got this bagel to go, brought it home, and discovered this tragedy. I even gave a good tip at the checkout! Did bean-counter corporate (there were some people in there with "Bagel Brands" on their shirt having a meeting) tell them to use this amount of cream cheese? Or did the person making the bagel petulantly put this amount of cream cheese on the bagel? Did I piss the guy off? WTH? We ordered 30 sandwiches for a Sunday brunch. They did an amazing job! They were ready to go when we requested. They were packaged very neatly and labeled well. It was perfect and everyone enjoyed them. We would order again! We are happy to have this Bruegger's in the neighborhood. read more

I never really get an overly upbeat vibe from the staff here, but they're always kind and tend to work pretty quick. There's certain places I'm pretty basic and consistently get the same and this is one of them. Sausage egg and cheese sandwich and I tend to rotate bagels I'll have it on. Recently and on this particular visit I've been getting the Asiago Parmesan for the extra 60 cent? Always turns out great. To match my consistency in ordering, it's always a consistent experience which works for me. In and out quick. If they aren't busy, parking is relatively easy for a quick in and out on the street (parallel) otherwise this little area seems kind of cumbersome to navigate traffic pattern wise with the cross streets and red lights. read more

I've been to plenty of Bruegger's and this establishment is basically the same, however the one thing that kept them from a forth star was the prep of the bagel. We asked for toasted and it seems their oven temp is set a bit low. The bagel was not toasted but rather just warmed up, the result was a chewy bagel not toasted. However, there was plenty of staff on hand, so food was received in a timely manner. Also a nice variety of bagels to choose from. read more

My husband and I have been here many times and we love the farmhouse and the western. What's the soup today? Don't even bother to ask. Just like herpes always comes back so does The chicken spatzel soup and of course the Watery delight known as vegetable soup. Who names soup spatzel ? doesn't that sound a lot like spackle the stuff on houses exterior. That's my only complaint the food is good and people are great. Avoid this location and go to the one on Excelsior instead. Came in a couple days in a row at noon and there were few if any bagels left. When asked they said they weren't planning on making more... Hearing from neighbors that this is a pattern. The poor staff looked miserable having to deal with customers asking why there are not bagels before lunchtime. Clearly a management decision. I have been to this location 3 times since the Bruegger's on Excelsior Blvd. in SLP closed. This was the last time I will ever go to this location. Every time I have been here, the service was very poor and the attitude of the staff equally as poor. Today I watched the first person on the bagel service line working at a snail's pace. There were 3 other staff members chit chatting with each other near the cash register. FINALLY the first guy acknowledged me and asked what I would like. I ordered it and he promptly forgot what I ordered - as he was making it! I also said I wanted a combo and he couldn't remember that. When I got to the register, the girl who is a Morticia Addams look alike asked me what sized beverage I wanted. I took a moment to look at the sign that had the information on a combo meal and she rudely stated that the price list was the other direction. I reminded her that I had ordered a combo and that it comes with a medium beverage. She completed ringing up my order, took my payment, than said "have a nice day". I had to remind her that the combo comes with soup and may I please have the spaetzle soup. You would have thought I had just reached over the counter to punch her, by her reaction. Bruegger's Bagels- what happened to training your staff in customer service? I would be happy with just the basics of customer service at the very least. How about greeting the guests walking through the door. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT goes a long way. Its so sad how incredibly horrible this place has become. My Son use to go to the Penn ave store for us after dropping our daughter off at Barton and heading to school (SW) himself. It worked out nice as we live otw to SW so he can drop off bagels at home and be off to school accordingly. A bit more time consuming but not a big deal if 44th st store would give us the the right bagels we order on regular basis. Usually and quite consistently, they give us the wrong kind of bagel or wrong cream cheese. Getting our orders wrong has happened more than getting it right since we have been forced to come to this store while a perfectly decent store on penn ave closed. I called to talk about putting us out and my Son(who picked up bagels and tipped) could not eat his since they put the wrong cream cheese on(honey walnut). He cannot have nuts. I was told he could talk w Cory who would take care of bagels for him at his next visit. My Son so happened to end up there for lunch w friends that same day. He spoke w Cory (unaware i had called about the morning mishap) They were back and forth a bit about it, and ultimately my Son tried pointing out that allergies doesn't and isn't even half of what the issue really is. Its that you are not welcoming in any way or interacting in a positive manner so early with others and the start to many peoples day. Brueggers is similar to Einstein bagels in East coast or other bagel franchise... but has better atmosphere. It's more like Panera bread with less variety of bagels. Breakfast Bagel sanwich was OK. I just stopped by to get quick bite and coffee. If you like salmon, try salmon bagel sandwich. It comes with plenty of salmon slices and tomato slices. read more

In my situation there were 5 people ahead of me so not Covid-related or staffing because there were counter 5 staff and looked like a couple people in back. Pandemic order. Ordered a sandwich. They skipped the bacon and cheese. Ordered two blueberry bagels. They sent cinnamon. Ordered the bakers dozen. They sent a bunch of cheese flavored bagels. I had forgotten how bad this location is. This time, the General Manager took order for 3 everything bagels with olive pimento cream cheese and cucumber slices. He went to back through doors for supplies never changing gloves. No protective glove underneath for cutting. Noticed they use the messy counter without paper under each item as done in most stores. At best counter brushed off but not actually wiped to prevent cross-contamination. Later we discovered he used jalapeño instead of olive pimento. Tried calling twice to say I was sending a daughter back, no answer. He ended up waiting on her. He non-descriptedly (correctly) remade without comment or apology ending with a "try these." While there she observed another worker, badge saying staff or shift manager, handling many things for other customers without glove changes. Sanitation terrible, customer relations terrible - neither near Bruegger's standards. This from a family that had a daughter work 2 years at another Edina Brueggers where such would never occur. Ive been going to brueggers on 44th and france for at least 20 years. we go there as a family ,but today I was more disappointed than usual .I ve been back in mpls 4 days .today was the second day no plain bagels. its the 2 nd time Ive had to clean my table in order to eat.Please, PLEASE find someone to manage this place there were 4 workers in front. and 1 in back, but no bagels, they said there would be plain in 15 minutes, but22 minutes later we left with no bagels in sight. Lobby as usual lately was dirty., no napkins in 3 of 4 dispensers, nice thing no line, because no bagels.A man that usually comes in on Saturday walked out since no plain bagels.His kids were disappointed.I called 1-888 222-5379 to complain .It was not brueggers but that is no on receipt. we used to feel like this was our place to relax and have many good conversations.
