Thankfully I visited a different Audiologist in Los Angeles who convinced me that I truly needed to give this another shot, especially after the pandemic. Understanding that my hearing was becoming more and mor distorted, I agreed! Meanwhile, I signed up for AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE because eventually; I'll be completely deaf. That was my main and ONLY focus. I was referred to Connect Hearing by my new Audiologist of UCLA at 200 Medical Plaza. Since I had only recently moved to Los Angeles and am a Valley Girl, I decided upon the Encino office. Eventually, I made my appointment and went to see Dan. He was very calm and accommodating, even though I kept insisting that I didn't want the hearing aids. He measured my ears anyway and took molds as he continued to explain why they would be helpful to me, as he assured me that things have changed with new technology. I thanked him for his time and he informed me that they'd be contacting me in approximately a week or two to pick them up. Yeah whatever I thought! Finally, I got the call to go and pick them up. Dan sat me down and explained to me nice and loud enough for me to hear him how to use them. Mine were actually charging in the case as he was using some similar to mine. That in itself was totally different from the previous two pair that I had in the past. This means no more changing hearing aid batteries, nor buying them for that matter! Eventually, Dan stood up and carefully placed each device in my ear and asked if I could hear him. Immediately, I got choked up and emotional as tears rolled down my cheeks. At that moment I remembered the ONLY thing that I did like about having hearing aids. I could hear how loud I talked while wearing them and I would automatically speak lower because of them. I was ecstatic!! I heard him and heard him very nicely. Also, the fit was my very first custom fit because of the molds he used on my first visit. There's not as much feedback because they're a custom fit! Next Dan showed me how to install an App on my cell phone to control the volume, more tears!!!! Finally, he called me on my cell phone and he spoke to me right there on his office. Dan the Man, absolutely gave me my life back and I am so very happy and grateful to him and his staff!!!! I no longer have to reach for my ear buds daily and make sure that they're changed before leaving the house. My new hearing aids are better than ear buds and I can control the volume as well as the clarity on my own cell phone. I regularly use search google maps while I'm driving in order to get directions. Now my customized Ear Bugs (HEARING AIDS) from Dan the Man, does exactly what ear bugs did before but better! Dan also said that he can show me how to download the App on my regular laptop that I use daily. I haven't done that yet, however I am FOREVER grateful for him and his team!!! The care and concern for me to feel as normal as possible with my hearing disability is UNMATCHED!! Thank you ENCINO CONNECT HEARING I LOVE & APPRECIATE YOU!! Dr. Namazie was kind and…read moreprofessional, and we appreciated the time he spent evaluating her and discussing potential surgical options. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the billing experience. During the consultation, Dr. Namazie examined the inside of my daughter's nose. I later received a bill for a separately billed nasal endoscopy, which I had no idea was being performed during the consultation. The paperwork I signed stated that there could be an additional charge if a nasal endoscopy was performed. However, I did not understand that the routine examination taking place during the consultation would be considered a separately billable procedure. At no point during the visit was it explained that a separate procedure was about to be performed or that it would result in an additional charge. I've taken my daughter to several other rhinoplasty consultations with surgeons in Los Angeles and have never been charged either a consultation fee or a separate procedural fee for the examination. Because of those prior experiences, I reasonably assumed that examining the inside and outside of her nose was simply part of the consultation. I contacted the office afterward to explain the misunderstanding, but I was told that because I had signed the consent form, I was responsible for the charge. While I understand their position, I wish there had been clearer communication before the procedure was performed so I could have made an informed decision. I was also hoping to see before-and-after photos of the surgeon's rhinoplasty patients, as every other consultation we attended included them. None were shown during our visit, which made it more difficult to evaluate whether this was the right surgeon for my daughter. I'm sharing this experience so other patients know to ask whether any examination performed during a consultation will be billed as a separate procedure and whether there will be any additional out-of-pocket costs before consenting.

Mom is a great musician with a very discerning ear. We could not have done it without someone who knows their stuff or be delicate about it. They walked us through the whole ordeal professionally and KINDLY, making us feel immediately at home. They took great care in every adjustment and concern....and threw in few good stories from Arian to take the sting out of the process. What a little clarity can do for a relationship! I resisted hearing aids for many years but Arian was patient and understanding, and showed me how much my life experience would be enhanced with better hearing. I have difficult-to-fit ear canals (narrow and twisted) so getting ear buds to fit into my ears was a challenge, but Arian was able to fit my ears perfectly. I still have difficulty inserting the aids in my ear canals but it is getting easier. I would totally urge anyone with any kind of hearing issue to visit Arian at Tarzana Hearing Center and be patient - hearing aids will take some getting used to but it will definitely be worth it!
