Ok. This is a Marine Corps base. Expectations are low. There are two sides to this chow hall. There is the slow line and the fast line. The slow line is regular sit down food and the fast line is subs and breakfast bowls and whatnot. Marines move fast and having Sally-Move-Slow serving my food just makes me agitated. The bright side... The fast line is ON POINT! love the ladies that run it! They always joking and talking shit but they work fast and hard! Never had a bad experience in the fast line!

    The hours.

Servers are kind of bricks and food isn't the best but what can you do when they already paid for it from check.

Everyone was so personable from the minute we walked into this elegant manor house. Cocktails and conversation were on point. The dinner service just flowed effortlessly like a well thought out symphony -- each dish took us to a higher level of culinary bliss as we were lulled by the expertly paired wines. Owner/Chef Dane stopped by our table at the end of meal and was so delightful to talk with. We had a terrible storm during the dinner service, apparently a tree went across the road nearby and knocked out their internet service preventing them from being able to check us out at the end of the evening. Their response -- don't worry about it all -- we will just give you a ring sometime tomorrow and take care of it; what more could you ask for -- just classy in every way!!!

We shared the food together and were impressed by how amazing it was. There were many items I wanted to try that I never had like the warm goat cheese pecan salad, the bourbon bread pudding, and the turkey jelly sandwich. The ambience was clean & spacious despite how small the area was inside and the tiny bathrooms. The only thing I was not able to have was second filling of coffee. It was still brewing when it came to our time to leave.

Friendly hosts greeted us and find us a seat on a late Sunday afternoon. Nice day gave us the option of courtyard seating or indoor cottage seating. Pleasant service team, great food and a wonderful cottage atmosphere makes this place a great place to stop for brunch. Korean BBQ Short Rib sandwich is a newer menu item. Flavorful, lots of rib meat filling and bread grilled nice and crunchy. It's delicious. Berry Almond French Toast is very good. If you have a sweet tooth for brunch, then do not miss this dish. Steak & cheese melt is a staple on this menu. Filled with nicely seasoned steak, grilled onions and a blend of cheese makes this dish a hearty brunch meal. From the host to the service team, everyone is very efficient and friendly. Pro Tip: use the Yelp waitlist feature on busy days.

As a senior army officer, I value professionalism, discipline, and mutual respect--qualities I unfortunately found entirely lacking in the service provided by my waitress. During my visit, I was subjected to a series of unprofessional behaviors that were both disrespectful and disruptive to the dining environment: Aggressive Mannerisms: The waitress repeatedly slammed dishes and glassware down on my table with unnecessary force. Lack of Discretion: When presenting the check, she loudly yelled out the total amount of the bill in front of other patrons, which was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Disparate Treatment: I observed her treating other parties with a level of courtesy and attentiveness that was pointedly withheld from me. General Demeanor: Her overall attitude was dismissive and overtly rude throughout the meal. For identification purposes, the server was a female of minority descent, approximately 5 feet tall with a heavy-set build. I have long respected Tun Tavern for its historical significance and its ties to military tradition. However, the treatment I received was inconsistent with the standards of hospitality one would expect from your establishment. I believe it is important for management to be aware of this incident so that it can be addressed through proper training or disciplinary measures. I and my wife chosed to go eat at your establishment, especially with my family service to the United States Marine Corpss (three cousins; retired CSM, SSG (decesased) and enlisted (obligatged tour of duty). I even emailed to museum coordinator and the post. No reply. I seems those especially those people in the Tavern restaurant chose not to show customer service and the mannerisms are were poor among their staff especially the waitress along with the management ignoring the customers. And the Marines want one (Tun Tavern) again in Philadelphia.
