Oh. My. Word! First, I'll start with the one, single…read moredisappointing thing... The day we visited, they did not have any baked goods (they said they only have them on the weekend), so we couldn't try the peras de coco (coconut rolls). But, perhaps it was kind of a blessing because our picada was plentiful. The dining area isn't huge, but they also do take out. There are about 5 or so tables to dine in. The service was a tad slow, but very friendly; I believe there was only one person waiting, cooking & serving AND the food was more than worth the wait! We ordered the picada for 4 and my brother tried a Colombiana cola. He liked it a lot; it was lighter than a "normal" cola, non-carbonated and less sweet than cola around here. I don't drink pop and even when I did, I always hated colas. I can't say I'd drink a whole Colombiana, but I didn't find it disgusting & that's saying something. Now on to the star of the show, the picada! It was loaded with several different meats, plantains fixed in different ways, yuca & baby potatoes and 4 sauces. We were so excited when it was set down on our table, we dug in before we even got our silverware haha. The platter had chicken, steak, chicharron, chorizo, blood sausage, sausage, sweet plantain, fried plantain, fried yuca and Colombian potatoes. The sauces were: avocado sauce, mayo/ketchup, pico de gallo & a garlicky one. Everything was so, so flavorful and cooked perfectly! There was not one thing that any of us didn't like. If I had to pick my top contender of a meat and a non-meat item, I would choose the chicharron & sweet plantain.... But I hope to never have to make that choice! The chicharron were thick and crunchy. The sweet plantain were perfection. When we left we were each given a dulce de leche caramel. They also have a variety of Colombian snacks and candies for sale. They recently opened an additional, larger location at 951 Niagara Falls Blvd (it used to be El Palenque). We were told they will be keeping both locations open, but the new location will have some additional items that they don't serve at the Oliver St location. I cannot wait to visit again!!!

The food does take awhile because they make everything fresh so when you do get it, it is piping hot! The three of us got the Picada for 2 to share and the Caldo de Bola Res with grilled tilapia. It was more than enough to share and we had leftovers that we could eat for two more meals at home. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked well. Nothing tasted dry at all! The chicharron was my favorite so I got a separate order of just that to take home. Highly recommend and would definitely go there again!

North Tonawanda Farmers Market has clued me into many small ventures from the area. Jolie's…read moredumplings, Yommas spring rolls, and these cupcakes. I found them last year and was very impressed then. This year has only improved. They are there Thursdays and Saturdays all summer long. Some weekends they do some of the other local festivals, so check their FB page for updates. https://www.facebook.com/dmconfections Meanwhile, the cupcakes. Many varied flavors, some with cute names like the "Elvis" etc. Others are chocolate. Strawberry. Etc. These cupcakes are a good size, not too big, not too small, just right. They are generous with frosting, but its not overwhelming. Ive tried many of the regular flavors and many of the gluten free ones. If you pick out a gluten free with some others, they will package it differently if needed, without hesitation at all. Super focused on that. These cupcakes are creative and have fun names. I think they are a little sweet overall, but because they are packaged really well and the proprietors are just fantastic; I look forward to buying from them. They always have a smile and a moment to interact with customers. The cupcakes also store well for a day or two, just remember to take them out of the fridge a hour or so before eating them. Cupcakes are better room temp. 5 stars for the customer focus and general "being nice" 4 stars for the cupcakes, not all the flavors are consistent, and the gluten free, while very good, could be a little lighter I think. 5 stars for being very connected to the area and events in the area. They have not forgotten their roots. 5 overall. I hope they keep it up and continue to improve.

I went to the farmers market in north Tonawanda and I seen this stand. At first you think oh a…read morecupcake would be nice. Well I walked over got a great looking Swedish fish at first sight Well little did I know it was 2.00 for a cupcake? I paid it thinking over priced. Considering it takes .50 cents to make a cupcake. Maybe a batch So I bit into it. Let me tell you that the cupcake for 2.00 was rock hard frozen. Like biting into ice. The frosting was overloaded and tasted like crap. The cupcake didn't have taste to it. Disappointed. Then I have to say I said something to the owner. Well he certainly wasn't a peach to take care of it. He complained and said how it's fresh made. Well when you got frozen cupcake you bite into you expect fresh not old ones. So I asked for a new cupcake I wanted a peanut butter cup. Looked like maybe it was fresh. Well again customer service and cupcakes were rated a 0 Again the cupcake was rock hard. Tasted like they over put frosting and load peanut butter into it Honestly I had my wife before this eat blackouts and got a 12 pack ordered. She shows up at the house expecting a great looking house. GARBAGE outside. Things around by trailer. The house looked like a dump. My wife thinks ok I'll walk up to the door. Well that's funny cuz they had some bigger girl who was covered in frosting and supposedly baker came out with it. So she just gave them to her. Didn't greet her. Just plain rude customer service. So she got them. Walked back to the car. She tripped over there GARBAGE laying on the FRONT lawn. She called me screaming how bad they treated her So she got back home and was expecting dark chocolate. Well the baker who makes them isn't it supposed to be fresh? Maybe she was to busy on her cell phone and not paying attention or maybe it's they had freezers in the garage that they store them and resell old weeks of cupcakes. And try to get people sick and get people to think there fresh when there not. But she opened up the pack and she bit into it. What happened? She spit it out and said it was frozen solid and that she can taste the weeks old cupcake and can tell it wasn't fresh. That I'm taking it as they pulled out of the freezer door stuffed with event cupcakes and market ones and resell BAD cupcakes. Customer service and cupcakes 0 So here's the thing. I will suggest to every person who wants cakes or cupcakes to stay away from this place. Cupcakes and cakes are GARBAGE and rock hard and it tastes like shit. Next thing is copyrighting brookie??? It's not his idea. He must of seen cupcake wars or baking shows or shark tank to copy someone else's idea and say he thought of it and it's his own. Lol no that's fraud and completely fake. Honestly they don't deserve to sell cupcakes at events. They sell 2.00 making profit on every sale to support there .50 cent cupcakes and fund cruises every month. People at the market complained to me that they charge high so they can get expensive things. But do no charity or care about anything in the community. I don't see them donating money? No they have mold old cupcakes to sell at any event and market. So how about a 0 rating and say there worse than over frosted n f cupcake shop .. Maybe fire the baker .. Maybe to busy posting on Facebook how there moving and opening a second shop. I feel bad for them. Its not a business gunna be long before shut down and people complain. So anyone on Facebook who sees brookie. REPORT it. They stole that idea from tv and use it as there own. That's copyrighting. And needs to be taken off Facebook. Do not buy from this dump looking business. Tops sells better cakes. At least not frozen old ones. My advice. Maybe the cruises r more important and care more about themselves than be a business. They don't care about anything but freezer burned cupcakes. Health dept. Agric dept should be told. They got called once before for them. And the cakes he's selling are illegal. He is violating his permit he has for home processor. He can only sell cupcakes. Not cakes. So anyone buying cakes beware. Dept already told them to stop the cakes and he refused. So report the business

Getting in/out is still tricky as it's on Niagara Falls Blvd., but you just need to be patient and you'll get where you want to go. Per usual, inside was bright, warm and clean. Taking advantage of their great rewards program, I had a buy one, get one free Bundlet offer and it lined up with a weekend I could take advantage. I ordered a Red Velvet Bundlet, a favorite of mine for years now. The other Bundlet being the February 2026 limited-time flavor, Banana Pudding Cake Made with NILLA Wafers - Banana cake baked with real banana puree, generously topped with Nothing Bundt Cake's signature cream cheese along with vanilla pudding (a nice burst of vanilla pudding stuffed inside the core as well!) and topped with a NILLA wafer. This was REALLY GOOD! The banana cake was excellent - Not too sweet and the banana flavor itself was balanced, not too strong. I loved the vanilla pudding on top and at the center, although I would've loved more pudding in the center, I was happy with what I saw. As usual, the bundt cake was incredibly moist and easy to dig into and the Bundlet is the perfect size for one. At the Amherst, NY bakery, as of 02/2026, Bundlets were priced at $6, but the limited-time flavor was $7, not a problem though, at least for me. I don't make it to Nothing Bundt Cakes often and have missed some great limited-time flavors, so I'm glad I made it out to get the Banana Pudding Cake made with NILLA Wafers! Friendly customer service and great treats, no matter which bakery I choose to go to throughout Buffalo!
