But I let the stylist proceed. I wish I'd left then and there. I now have a clear line of demarcation about a quarter of an inch from my part line, and she put far too much dye along my temples and the side of my face. It colored my light facial hair so I now look like I have sideburns. I'm still laughing because at 62, we've all survived a hair disaster or two. I know she could tell I wasn't happy. After 3 1/2 hours, I had to go and she hadn't even started to blow dry/style my hair. I didn't attend the event I was supposed to go to afterwards (those sideburns aren't going anywhere anytime soon) and they knocked about $40 off. Still means I got a subpar partial highlight for about $235 bucks...in Richmond, VA...which is crazy. I'll be looking for a new place next time around and trying to keep my head down and my hair untucked and over my ears until these brown stains along the side of my face fade. Ridiculous. Update: The owner did call me, following this review. Though apologetic and mentioning repeatedly this would be used as a "learning experience", I received no offer of either any kind of refund or an amount off for future services or an offer to have anything corrected. I spoke to a work colleague, a Richmond local, and have another salon picked out for next time.

I scheduled my appointments online and, when I had to change them, there was no hassle. At the appointment, we talked about expectations, shape, style, etc. She measured and outlined brow shape and then we selected a color together. She applied a numbing lotion which worked really well the first time but not so well on the follow up appointment but I have had problems with that before. She has the client do dry healing which was my first time doing dry healing which I think really made a difference in color and detail retention. I drove to Short Pump from DC. It is difficult to schedule a daytime appointment but they are available. I have gotten several compliments on my brows. I love them!

I was actually suspicious of that, since no 3* or 4*, but it looked the best for my area and I'm so glad I went! They offer traditional tattoos, as well as makeup, different artists, so you have to email the artist to express interest. I got my appointment setup and paid my deposit, and even with a slight hood to my right eye, she was able to do a perfect winged eyeliner. The first appointment just went over pricing, location, and a practice of the size to make sure I was happy with it. I did change it a bit, and she was very accommodating. My second appointment was the tattoo, about 4 hours for the wing and the bottom liner. I definitely recommend checking the air quality index before getting eyeliner tattooed, because I didn't (oops!) and the healing process involves not touching musty like with any tattoo. We also discussed lipstick and while I'm not getting it right now, if I decide to pull the trigger, this is where I'll go!
