***BEWARE OF CONTRACTORS OF THIS STORE*** Had my microblading experience with a girl named DOMINIQUE and was promised a free touch up with my payment. However, when I tried to contact her a few weeks later, she disappeared and ignored my calls and texts. So I went to the store again and was told to contact BRANDON and ask him for a solution. After I contacted BRANDON, he informed me that DOMINIQUE was an independent contractor who rented at the store and that she was no longer working there. He informed me that they are not liable for the services she promised me, but offered for another student at the store to do the touch up for additional $$$. I felt taken advantage of and was not satisfied with this solution and so I posted a review of my experience here. After I posted the review, BRANDON message me privately and explained that DOMINIQUE's company was the one responsible, but that he wants to make it good to me and will offer me a free touchup. At this point, I feel that BRANDON and the store has made good faith to try and remedy the situation, but I will nonetheless not be going in for the free touchup as I have already lost trust in the store and their services. read more

Because microblading is such a delicate procedure, it's pretty necessary that your artist be detail-oriented in their craft, and let me just say that Evon and her students are not only meticulously attentive in their work but show great patience and consideration towards each of their clients. Everyone was so accommodating to both my mom and me as we tweaked and re-shaped our brows for almost an hour! I was a student at Evons Academy and had finished in the summer of 2017. I've chosen this school for a few reasons: 1) close to home 2) the price 3) apprenticeship and 4) small class. I called and spoke with Brandon and he was super helpful. Explained everything I wanted to know before I registered for the class. The class was for 3 days but the best thing about this academy is their support system. I finished my 3 days there and kept coming back to practice. Like in everything you do, practice makes perfect. So if you're not where you want to be, don't just blame the school but blame yourself for not putting more effort. This academy have supported me in everything I wanted to do and learn. Even until today when I have any concern, they're there to answer any questions. Marissa teaches the basic guidelines and prepare you for the pathogen exam. While Evon was the hands on teacher and she is very good at what she does. Jasmine is the receptionist there and she actually touchup up my eyebrows. I wanted to get microblading done and she did an excellent job with it. I'm glad I had made the choice to go here. Now I am on my own and have my own space. Hi I'm currently a student of Evon's. I am at the Orange County location. I want to write on behalf of Evon about the student Phoenix A. because I work alongside her the very few times she and her daughter decided to show up for class. I'm a very satisfied student of Evon's and feel that I have to write in response of the negative review. Phoenix mentioned about the school shutting down. What she didn't mention was that she didn't show up for school almost 2 months straight before the shut down, and the move to a new location. Phoenix finally shows up at the very end of the 2 months and then is upset that this all happen. Her review is by a student that rarely shows up to class and wants to put the blame on everyone but herself, compared to me who is committed and shows up to class 4-5 days a week full time. I have been debating for over a year to have my eyebrows done and researching places and seeing the work. No place seems to be what I was looking for. I came in for my appointment and the place was so relaxing. Excited to get started, I sat in the chair as Niki went over a few things with me. She then measured and sketched my brows. She made sure I approved and ask how I wanted the shape. Later I went to other room where the procedure would be taking place. Niki explained what she would be doing and each step of the procedure and made a suggested color for me. Since I did not want a dark look. She applied the numbing ointment and allowed 15 minutes before starting. As she started on my brow, the session was so relaxing I fell a sleep for a breif moment. When I woke up, she told me she just had to add the mask. She made sure the brows look even and I approved before I was able to leave the chair. I am so pleased and happy of how my eyebrows look. I went to this place thinking that I would get the brows I want. I don't have "no hair" on my brows, I have pretty full hair just a little sparse spots. Therefore, it's a given that I just needed to fill in the areas that are sparse. SERVICE: First of all, going in, they made it very difficult for me to have the shape I want. I was confident that the person doing my brows, which is Evon, would be much more understanding towards my brows since she's had about 15+ years of experience. She was impatient. She followed her own shape which I didn't like. She kept trying to switch my brows. The way she drew them in made me look like some clown. Then she gave up on me and finally let me draw it in so I can show her (with a pencil). Her and her students were speaking in Vietnamese saying that "this girl is being so difficult blah blah) Evon herself even said,"it's cause she's not use to this shape because of how old she is she doesn't know". I know how to draw in my eyebrows, she made them look worse. It did not fit my face. Her and the students also said that another girl was being difficult about her brows and she was sitting in the following chair next to me. Of course we care about our brows, we're letting them draw it in. It will be semi-permanent and they expect us not to care? ALSO They said EVERYTHING in Vietnamese because they thought I couldn't understand one bit. The student that was working on my eyebrows understood me and she drew in my brows correctly. Evon and students that were spectating were rude and impatient. Evon erased the students work and constantly did her shape. SUMMARY: All in all, my brows DID NOT turn out the way i wanted it to turn out. She made one brow have a higher arc than the other and she even said it herself but didn't bother to fix it on the spot. She shrugged me off and suggested that she can just go ahead and fix it at my touch up. It would have been best to do it right then and there just in case the color does fade and she would then be able to touch it up. I should've just walked out the moment I heard them saying bad things about me and other customers. I felt very disrespected here. DISCLAIMER: Another thing id like to add, they give customers discounts if you write a 5 star review on facebook, google, and yelp. I know that because that's what the front desk man told me to prior to scheduling my touch up. I never came back because I hated the way my brows looked already and I did not trust them with my brows again. I would never come back here and I'd suggest for you to do the same. There's a reason there's no bad reviews here on yelp. RESPONSE TO EVON'S COMMENT: Evon, I've been to your place you cannot accuse me of being a liar. Otherwise your description of a perpetrator is just defining yourself. Accusing me of not being a customer or a client, you're lying, not me. You and a student did my eyebrows on a Thursday afternoon. Just because it was not in your books does not mean I was not there. That just comes to show how unorganized your business is. I specifically remember I sat on the fourth chair in front of the door. I've had your students stand by and watch you as you did my eyebrows. I have a right to a freedom of speech. Call me any names you can think of Evon. I'm not going to waste my time stepping into your studios again, and for what? I'm not getting anything out of it. If I go I'd just prove you wrong and I doubt that you'd apologize. Why? Because of the way you're still talking to me, still disrespecting me. I can pinpoint the students that were there if they're still attending your school. This is not worth my time, I have better things to do. The fact that you're trying to make this unbelievably personal is ridiculous. You're not always going to please every customer so don't blame me for something you did. Hold yourself accountable for these actions made by you. Stop trying to cover up the truth. The students don't even know that you also talk smack on some of them in Vietnamese as well. FML! 6 sessions later with evon, after her student demolished my eyebrow I gave them the opportunity to correct their mistake and I still had to pay $60 for additional session then I realized why am I paying for their mistake they should be paying me for the pain! I texted Brandon my concern and told him that I wanted a refund for the $60 and that I would give them the opportunity to continue fixing their mistake or if they couldn't fix it that I would like for a full refund so I can go elsewhere where they can fix it. A week later I still had no response until I texted him again telling him that I needed a response he responded by saying that that was such a crazy demand that he had never heard such a thing me and my boyfriend went down to his office and he agreed to give me two more free sessions in exchange for deleting my Yelp review I did it and my eyebrow still looks arch and the other one Straight. I felt the need to repost me a review because based on the reviews is why I chose them and now I have to go elsewhere to get them fixed.SMH read more

I've been pondering about getting my brows microbladed but I always wondered about what if they came out bad. I saw an ad on the Facebook Marketplace and answered it and asked a lot of questions. I then decided to go for it. So I made an appointment with Michelle Liu and I must say, she did an amazing job and is a true artist. She drew my brows of what they will look like and then went to work on them. She has a very gentle hand because I didn't feel any pain, I actually took a few minute nap. I learned Microblading from another studio and after I graduated I really struggled getting clients.. I was desperate to find work and called Evons, to my surprise they told me about their Apprenticeship Program where they provide the models for the students to work on. I immediately come check out the place and its a very clean studio, staff is very friendly and they are very busy.
