For my first review for 2023, I wanted to show appreciation to Catherine. I got them done in April 2022 and it's almost been a year and my brows still look great. I was tired of my uneven brows and always plucking a bit too much. With that in mind, I began my research for a new brows look. Hands down one of the best spots in OC for your brows if you're interested in more of a natural style. There are a lot of great brow artists in SoCal, but I was looking specifically for a brow artist's style that would work well for me if I didn't want to wear any makeup and for it to still look natural. I got them microbladed and shaded a bit a few years ago in NYC before wanting them done again here after moving. It took me a while to find someone with the right price point, style, and availability. I got them done last fall and have loved them so much! I get compliments from so many people and always show them Catherine's IG so they can get theirs done. I get that dark popping IG brows are popular, but they're just not for me so I super appreciate how she's nailed down a balanced and natural style. It's also supposed to hurt at all really, just pressure. I cut feel the cutting at some point when she maybe halfway through or something but didn't say anything. Oops, my bad, I thought that was normal lol. My skin just must absorb and break down the numbing cream quickly? Haha it's not supposed to hurt so let her know if you feel any pain. I also think it's because I have a pretty big pain tolerance from tattoos and stuff. I'm so excited to find time next month to bring my mom to her to get her brows done!! I got my brows done back in 2015 with another artist and I was not in love with the shape even though we spent hours fine tuning to a point where my skin was turning red from drawing and redrawing (i also have very sensitive skin), and we just gone ahead with what I thought was "close enough". Best decision ever: to get powder brows with Catherine. I had microblading done in like 2019 with another artist and it didn't like how it faded to pink-red. I naturally have very light brows so if I don't fill them in with makeup my face looks weird. I texted Catherine my brows so she could see the previous work, got the OK to book my appointment. I fell asleep during my first session because it was very relaxing and didn't hurt at all. It feels like threading but for 3 hours lol.
