I spoke with a second electrician and he confirmed that this was NOT an actual electrical emergency and that it could be completed in one day for closer to $500. I did not even mention the state he left my house in after ripping out drywall and letting my furniture get covered in dust. Be careful people. Avoid being an uneducated consumer and always make sure to get a second opinion. Not everyone is looking out for your best interest as a homeowner.

I put in a request for a quote on Yelp and within an hour I was on the phone with Stephen explaining my issue and he agreed to come out the next day (Sunday). He showed up as promised on Sunday afternoon and about 30 mins later had repaired the issue and made recommendations for other upgrades my home could use. I only had to pay for service call because he explained to me what was needed and suggested me picking it up from Home Depot to save on his repair cost. There is a $10 fee for using debit/credit card for payments, but IMO that menial when a service call is made on a Sunday afternoon a few days before a holiday and the business is located in/near Dunwoody and I live near the airport. Honest, quick replies, punctual and great customer service. I appreciate when a service provider doesn't gauge you on his rates because you're a woman and have no idea of what a 30 amp fuse is. I'd surely call him back for any other electrical needs I have in my home. Dang, I should have asked him to check out the ceiling fan that keeps blowing a light bulb anytime I have the light and ceiling fan going at the same time.

Jack and an apprentice came out to do an estimate and did a thorough job of investigating what the work involved. They were both very friendly and easy to work with. Elijah and an apprentice came out to do the actual work. Scheduling was easy and communication was good. The actual work turned into a bigger and more difficult job than expected because of some crazy issues with the existing wiring. Some idiot who worked on our house before we owned it apparently fancied themselves an amateur electrician and had really messed things up. But Elijah was excellent and managed to sort everything out. Even though the work was more complicated and took longer than estimated, and even though they ultimately installed a couple more GFCI outlets than we thought were needed, Hi-Five refused to add to the estimate and only charged us that amount. They also left the house clean and tidy. The whole experience was really just excellent. Highly recommend!
