I tried to get help, needed a home visit and they made an appointment for today. Didn't call, didn't show. Called the store, and the woman was nasty and arrogant, and said it there was an appointment, they would show. They have a lot of services but they are closed on Saturday and are kind of nasty, so I cannot recommend them. read more

We locked ourselves out of my mom's house -- first time in 20 years!! Got a referral from a neighbor who said Brownie's is local and great. Our service person arrived in 15 minutes, and he was exceptional. Very helpful, informative, realistic and fast. Was able to help me get my 89 year old mother into the house quickly on a very cold day. Replaced doorknob parts that needed replacing, and conducted business in an extremely professional manner. Need a locksmith? Look no further. These guys are honest, reliable and trustworthy. I locked myself out of my house even with keyless entry (don't ask). Took to google first, um why did I do that? Called the first place and was put in contact with someone who gave me an extremely high quote. I said thank you, I'm going to check around. He then proceeded to tell me, well what do you want to pay? How much cash do you have on you? Uh, yeah buddy that's not at all creepy. I then recharged my brain and went to my always go to Yelp. Found these guys on there and voila! I am alive, a non creeper got me right into my place, I'm eating ice cream watching The Originals, and my pocketbook is a tad heavier than it would have been. These guys are awesome, they were fast friendly and affordable, I was going to bring my locks to be re keyed somewhere else but had seen this shop was closer to my house, I'm glad I went here, they were significantly cheaper than the place I was going to go to and way more friendly. There was also a young man working there learning the trade from one of the pros. I'm glad he had the opportunity to practice the trade re keying my locks and making an extra key. If I could give a million stars and hugs I would. Long story short, my baby got locked in her room and the door would not open, it was jammed and there was nothing I could do. I called, obviously upset and in a panic, and Dawn was an absolute saint. She calmed me down and reassured me I wasn't a bad mom and was just the sweetest. She sent over the sweetest man who dropped what he was doing to come help my situation. After he arrived (within literally 4 minutes) and wrestling with the door for about 15, she was free and I could not be more appreciative of this company. The most expert lock company I've ever used. While they were here fixing our front door handle, I asked them about an alarm system for my house. The technicians told me that they do Security and alarm systems, cameras, access control, and that they pull wire for all types of applications. I asked if they could fix my HDMI cable that had broken behind my TV room wall. They cut my drywall and put in a new HDMI cable right in the same visit- they were reasonable and honest with their pricing and I was super happy that my front door worked again, AND so did my TV! I had to get a drywall patch done- but SO THRILLED this great hidden GEM of a local company was so professional and capable! read more

Accidentally locked keys in suburban. Called brownies and had someone there in about 15 minutes. Took him about 5 mins or so to get it unlocked. Fast, friendly service. Cost About $50 which is what others quoted. Would use again, but hope I don't have too! :) read more

down to earth guys who helped fix a thule box lock. did a ton of work for just a few bucks. recommend with out reservation.

I've got six kids at home so you know if I am taking the time to write a review than there is a problem. Brownie's Lock and Security does not want your business. I had them come out to fix my front door and then followed up with them no less than six times! I called them every week for 3-4 weeks to find out if the part for my front door was ordered or if I should try somewhere else and I couldn't get a straight answer. I've never had an experience like it! I even stopped by the store and the person at the desk couldn't have been nicer but then they still didn't do anything to help me by ordering the part or following up. And in case in the back of your mind you think I might be a witch to deal with so maybe that's why they were the worst, I would tell you that I am actually polite to a fault which is why I gave them so many chances! I'm just giving you a chance to learn from my mistake that this is not somewhere that values customer service in the least! read more
