After spending one year and almost $90,000 on a much-needed remodel of my townhome in Scottsdale Arizona, I decided to put our 40 year home on the market. After receiving an offer, I countered and awaited news. The following morning, not even 12 hours later, I received a phone call that water was running down the outside of my townhome, across the patio and down the long driveway. After calling an Emergency Plumber, they contacted a remediation company who advised that the original drywall had asbestos. How stressful can that be? Upon entering the townhouse it was clearly evident the damage was substantial as all the drywall, kitchen cabinets, appliances and new carpet had to be removed from the first floor. The Home Inspector recommended a couple of simple fixes to conclude the sale.
