I was first looking for someone to do taxes in 2018 for the 2017 tax year. As usual, I did reviews before trusting my taxes to anyone. I researched the "big" commercial names, like H&R Block and the do it yourself names but wanted to know they would be done right the first time. I stumbled upon Crystal Tax and couldn't be happier. Mr. Geever is knowledgeable, super prompt to reply to email and incredibly quick with the preparation (and it didn't hurt that I got a refund!). We haven't even met - everything has been online or through email, which is great as it is hard to get to an accountant when you work. And Rich was patient with my tax questions. I had no hesitation trusting him to do my taxes again this year. I was nervous that I had waited too long and he would be unable to get them done in time, but he turned them around in 2 days - that's impressive! I will no doubt continue to go back to him for my tax needs.

A couple hours before the meeting, I got an email saying I could only do a 15-minute phone call. I further got a phone call about two hours before the meeting from Mike Davidow. He was abrasive on the phone, and stated their consultation fee was $400 for half an hour. He kept speaking over me and complained. All poor service. Suggest they start by improving their website and not yelling at people over the phone. Don't recommend this firm.

During this time, she sold her primary residence and moved her residence from California to Virginia. In attempting to resolve this tax problem, I contacted two CPAs. One absolutely refused to involve himself in the matter, and the second ghosted me after our initial consultation where I described my issue. Aris X. Hart, Esq., and Safeguard Law quickly and professionally untangled this very complex tax situation for me. In accomplishing this goal, Aris and his team contacted the Social Security Administration to obtain several SSA-1099s, and several other entities to secure 1099-Rs, 1099-INTs and 1099-DIVs issued during this six-year period to develop a complete picture of my mother's tax situation. Aris and his team also contacted county records in California to develop a complete picture of the sale of my mother's primary residence in California. At the end of the day, Aris prepared thirteen state and federal returns. Throughout this work, Aris was extremely professional and regularly updated me on his progress in untangling my mother's tax problems. He demonstrated compassion, painstaking attention to detail, and was clearly motivated to help me in any way possible. As a result, I can without hesitation provide Aris with my highest recommendation. I look forward to working with him in the future.
