I have always had great service here and have found Patrick and gang extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They know there products and try very hard to find the best fit for you. I recently had a training session with Amanda. She helped me with my problem, I found her very easy to follow and she took the time to answer my additional questions even after our training session had ended. My mother has been going to Amanda for training sessions to learn how to use some software for her job and she also can't say enough good stuff about her and the store. This is why i have been going to Browns for years and will continue to support a great local business over a big box store. You do not get the custom service that Brown Computer offers at any box store I know of. Oh well to each there own...lol I also purchased a new iPad mini while i was there which I LOVE. read more

This was the best computer repair experience I've ever had. My computer broke and they found me a replacement online for %50 off, they transferred all my things onto the new laptop, and even downloaded a free version of Photoshop for me which saved me a lot of time and grumpiness. They were fast, reliable, knowledgeable, and kind- even when I was initially grumpy about my dead computer walking in. They are also queer friendly and have a very sweet poster of queer superheroes that they designed in collaboration with an artist for Keene Pride Week. I am thrilled. From taking my used Dell computers to Brown Computer Solutions in the late 1990s to having them update my used iMacs to buying used iMacs from them: BCS Rocks! I'm on a budget and they've always been able to get my older machines refreshed. Now my budget is bigger and they transferred data from the old iMac to the new one faster than expected. Perhaps Paul K. had a bad day, yet I find his comments hard to believe, because I never feel that condescending attitude, although I am myself anything but a geek, and find BCS still to be a very accessible and helpful place. Just picked up my 17" early 2011 MacBook Pro from Brown Computer Systems. They brought it back to life and weren't thrown off by the modifications I've made over the years (2 HD's, SSD, 16GB ram). Patrick's been at this for many years and they know what they're doing. And he's opened stores in Bennington AND Keene as well as the original store in Brattleboro! I can't believe that this store got any negative reviews. I have bought multiple machines and had them look into fixing others and they were nothing but helpful, courteous and well informed. I could easily order the stuff I need online, but when the you-know-what hits the fan try getting a big box store to help you. The service that I received at Brown's Computer Solutions in Bennington was exceptional. I had a mishap with a work computer. They got a back-up done quickly so I could keep working and then repaired my computer ahead of schedule. The level of service exceeded that which I would expect from an Apple Store.
