They have flavors such as spicy cheese, chocolate peanut butter, butter pecan, dill pickle pop, krazy kettle, cinnamon bun, butter me up and double drizzle. We got the big brown bag with two flavor mix, cheese louise and double drizzle (dark and white chocolate). Regular flavors are $11.95. Double drizzle is a premium for $2 more. They have the popcorn stored in containers. I'm not sure how long the popcorn has been in there, but the cheese ones were stale. The double drizzle still had a crisp to it due to the sugar coating. My husband and I love popcorn. I usually love really sweet popcorn like caramel or chocolate. My husband doesnt have a sweet tooth. He prefere cheese, spicy, or butter. You are allowed to taste test any flavor. I asked the worker if she preferred regular cheese pr spicy. She said she wouldn't know because she does not like popcorn at all. I thought that was pretty funny. We decided the layer the flavor. You can have up to 3 flavors in the small bag. I asked for half caramel and half spicy. The only thing was she put 3/4 spicy and only a little bit of caramel 1/4. Overall, I love the message and the charity. I'm usually not a popcorn person so I was excited to try something more gourmet than your usual store bought stuff. The gentleman working there was extremely nice and explained everything well, including details about their charity. The only vegan flavor was ironically the butter flavor (it contains cocunt oil) so I went with that. The popcorn has a nice flavor and it was fresh. Not overly seasoned. I really liked it. I didn't realize that brown bag popcorn was apart of Detroit water ice factory. The reason I bring this up is because, I went to Detroit water factory about 4 months ago and was awed with the outstanding customer service they had. Coming to brown bag popcorn was no different. I was helped by Dujan, who was filled with recommendations and energy. It was so much fun talking with him while getting my popcorn. Annette, the store director, was also there and had a fantastic conversation with me about how they keep their stores clean and how they always make sure the customer is satisfied with their order. I sampled a few different flavors and ultimately chose to go with a Georgia peach and s'mores combo. Georgia peach had pecan chunks in it, which were so so tasty. The s'mores is rich, decadent, and addictive. The best part of all is that they donate back to the Detroit community, so you can feel good purchasing this popcorn knowing a portion of your proceeds are helping those in need. Who doesn't like popcorn. If these two like it, then we may as well like it too... I tried the spicy cheese, Carmelicious, butter pecan and dill pickle. The dill didn't have much dill flavor for me. The butter pecan was sweet, but didn't taste as buttery as I was expecting it to be. The Carmelicious and the spicy cheese were the better out of the 4 I tried out. I got a large bag $11.95 of the spicy cheese and the Carmelicious. The staff waiting on me was friendly and warm and attentive. The peanut butter was so tasty, my only complaint is that the white chocolate on the Double Drizzle popcorn was so heavy- i hate white chocolate. It's so good and the popcorn pieces are large. Hardly any kernels are found in either the bag or tin of popcorn. Brown Bag Popcorn is air-popped from non-GMO corn. The Butter Me Up is made with only popcorn, coconut oil, and sea salt. This is my favorite place to get popcorn. I'm also impressed that Brown Bag Popcorn is a charitable organization that gives 100% of its profits to a charity that helps Detroiters. I was able to sample some different flavors but ended up going with the chocolate drizzle popcorn and the butter pecan popcorn (I absolutely looooved the butter pecan flavor!). Everyone was so kind, friendly, and accommodating and when I tried to leave a tip I was told that all "tips" are actually donations to a non-for-profit organization in Detroit (so be sure to bring some cash along when you head over:). This place is great. Regardless of a product, when a place gives 100% of its profits to charities that are local, it makes me root for the product wholeheartedly. I am a popcorn fanatic. I discovered this popcorn last year when I received some for a holiday gift. It was so amazing I rushed back to get more. Last year, this popcorn business was a popup and they indicated they wanted to make a permanent store. A lot of time had gone by, and they hadn't returned, so I visited the Detroit location, Detroit Water Ice, because we love all of their products. Apparently, they returned to the mall late summer. The reason why I found out is because someone from the company reached out to me through social media to inform me they returned to the mall. Thank you whoever it was that commented on my socials! This store is more amazing than the other out of state popcorn company found at 12 Oaks, it is a local business that also supports a local charity, so they have my business. Besides that, it is the most amazing pre-made popcorn I've ever tasted. Every flavor is sumptuous. Their cheddar cheese is fresh and cheesy. I mixed mine with the spicy BBQ, which is tangy with a tiny hint of spice. I loved the sweet flavors. Their Oreo popcorn is my absolute favorite, but I always have to add other flavors to the mix. The strawberry shortcake is very unique, something I've never had anywhere else. I liked the Hanukah mix with white chocolate, and the Christmas mix with cherry and green apple popcorn. The cinnamon bun flavor was also fantastic along with the white and chocolate drizzle mix, which we have purchased in the past, and will get again. The peanut butter flavor is also a favorite. Today I got a couple bags, a sweet and a savory. Besides bags they sell refillable tins, which I am interested in looking into for next time. The employees were very friendly and informative, and allowed us to sample many flavors, most of which we ended up purchasing. I liked the variety of flavors. The nacho, white cheddar, and pickle flavors sounded enticing, I did not sample them this time, but I will consider those for next time. They also sell Motown mash which is a whipped cream and cookie/cake dessert. I love this stuff! I wish they also sold the ice and soft serve, since I like to layer the mash with those flavors, but the employees told us they are only set up to sell the popcorn and mash as of now. I understand, perhaps the store front is not equipped to sell more prepared food and frozen foods, but if they do well, perhaps they might consider selling similar products to their Detroit location, which we enjoy. I stepped into here yesterday for the first time while I was at the mall. I wanted to make it aware if this fact is unknown but, the store operates purely to payout expenses and overhead. The profit goes completely to a charity and you can see where and who you are supporting by making a purchase here. The popcorn flavors and taste alone is enough to get in here and try out the puffy treats. That being said however, its nice that this business is for charity as stated by the employee at the time of my visit. The place is clean and layout is open. Everything is visible as you step in and you get serviced fairly quick with minimal wait times. First time there, won't be back. The guy behind the counter was lacking customer service skills, wasn't rude just wasn't necessarily nice. You could tell he wanted to be anywhere else. The popcorn was quite a disappointment. I got the cheese corn which was soggy and felt moist and kettle corn which was pretty bland and had a couple of Carmel corn mixed in which were super sticky.
