It was my first time going to a BBB so wasn't sure what to expect. It was a little overwhelming with all the choices of chocolates. I got a few for my friends and was packaged cute. The chocolates are 3.5 a piece, so a bit expensive. They have signage out to find them though. I walked in and was greeted with a friendly face with lots of samples. I learned a lot about the origin of the chocolate and the flagship location in Mt. Clements. I tried some amazing toffee that didn't stick to my teeth like regular toffee. They currently have packaged chocolate with varieties that were made in the flagship location. The plan is to have a wide array to pick your own after they are completely moved in. There will also be events hosted in the space which is pretty spacious. I left with a dozen chocolates, a cookies and cream bar that I finished before I got home (it was good) and some genuine caramel. Metered parking is along the street. I'm glad I stopped in and plan to see what new things are in the horizon.

I understand employees may be busy, so that wasn't my concern. What bothered me was the customer service that followed. I asked for a small Berries Delight and pointed to the individual desserts on the left. Instead, the young man assisting me went to the cakes on the right and attempted to hand me a small cake. I politely stopped him and explained that I wanted the personal-sized Berries Delight on the left. He responded by saying, "Those are called slices," in a tone that came across as rude and condescending. I then asked if I could have a fresh one from the refrigerator because the one in the display case looked like it had been sitting there for a while. He insisted the display one was fine, but I repeated that I would prefer one from the refrigerator. He reluctantly got one and handed it to me, saying, "There's your fresh Berries Delight," in a sarcastic tone. I visit Sweet Dreams regularly--between this location and the previous one, I stop in about four times a month. I've always enjoyed your desserts, which is why this experience was so surprising. I've never been treated this way before. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because the quality of customer service should match the quality of your products.

It's off-season and I needed a raspberry tart to use for flavor cues for a client's launch of their new Raspberry Tart Wafer protein bar flavor. Due to a food allergy I didn't want to style the tart myself. I contacted a number of local bakeries as well as Plum Market, Whole Foods, Zingermans and more. None could accommodate my specific request. Finally, I came across sweet dreams and they were able to make me a beautiful raspberry tart to use for my images, based on the appearance, I wanted and in a timely manner. The location and store seem very nice too. And the pastry itself turned out great! Check out the images to see how pretty it was and how perfectly it worked. Issues: for whatever reason they record your drivers license number on your receipt and in their computer system when you use a credit card. Maybe due to fraud or something else. It is not clearly stated that they record your identification but just they need to see it. I gave the owner my card, he swiped it and the proceeded to scan my driver's license into the register and it saved on the receipt. I immediately asked him to cancel/void the transaction because I didn't want my license number stored anywhere. I paid cash for the purchase, which I should have in the first place. He said the charge didn't go through, but it showed pending on my credit card app. He said to call if it posted. Fast forward 2 weeks later and I'm looking at my account with the charge present. I call immediately and the owner brushed me off with call my credit card company because it's nothing he can do. He stated it wouldn't go through because the transaction wasn't completed and then said he did what he needs to on his end. Customer service is poor and he stays in business because of the vast selection and acceptance of EBT as a payment option. I'd never go back to patronize this business. The response was so nonchalant when I purchased and when I needed the credit card issue resolved. Now I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company. Taking credit cards if you have to maintain personal information in such a manner blows my mind. I don't believe in scamming and I also don't agree with my driver's license number being printed on my receipt and archived the manner that was attempted.
