The day I went was rainy and kind of cold so Ice cream wasn't what I wanted. They had some interesting cakes in a display case so I figured I would try two flavors. Seemed like a safe choice for a first timer. The price for these two pieces of cake was about $14 total which was a bit of sticker shock as they aren't labeled in the case . I purchased a strawberry shortcake and a Carmel cake. Once I got home and opened them I could now see how large the pieces truly were. The price slowly became a bit more reasonable to me. Then I tasted it. Whooooooooooa. This is the best Carmel I've ever tasted. There was certainly something different about it. Different in a good way. You could tell the freshness. Although the bakery has mostly pink interior and decorations, we enjoyed adding a splash of royal blue and white. I am a true fan of anything butter pecan so I had to have the Butter Pecan pound cake topped with butter pecan ice cream. It was so, so good! Do you want to know what's their secret ingredient? I ended up buying a few peanut butter cups that I had never seen before, a Hot Tamales candy cane for my fiance, some coconut strip things for myself, and a few other goodies. If money was no object, I also would have bought the Ted Lasso branded candies and ALL of the Golden Girls stuff, as that's one of my favorite TV shows. They had a nice selection of freeze-dried candy as well, which is a new trend, but they were a little expensive, at $7.99 per bag. The saleslady was very friendly here as well and asked if I had any questions or needed help with anything, when I was in the store.
