Short story: do NOT go here, just DON'T DO IT. They will mess up your eyebrows, and then try to up-sell you into buying an upfront, prepaid package for them to fix their mess. Don't fall for it like I did.
The full story:
I have now been to the branch at 56 Neal Street, in Covent Garden twice, and am very disappointed in my experiences so far.
I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years. I have thick, Indian eyebrow hair, so it is not particularly tricky to figure out how to shape, nor am I a particularly demanding or picky customer - and generally I never, ever complain. My hair grows really quickly and I get my brows threaded every 3 weeks, so I'm usually a loyal and appreciative customer.
During my first appointment, which was meant to just be a routine tidy up - I was made to feel that my "eyebrow problems" were my fault - i.e. my hair growth wasn't even, and that I would need a few more appointments to get things "fixed up". It's fine I thought, maybe it IS me - even though I've never had that comment before. I also got suckered into buying a 6 visit package for GBP75 for my threader to "fix my eyebrows". I regretted my decision as soon as I walked outside and took a closer look at my eyebrows. I left the salon with wayyy too much hair taken off the arch of my right eyebrow (think perma-surprised face level bad), and with a right eyebrow noticeably thinner than the left.
Before my second appointment, I left 4 weeks of hair growth to give the threader a bit more hair to work with. This time (different threader), it was an even worse result. Patchy, uneven brows, and noticeable, random patches of hair mysteriously left untouched that are not in line with the brow shape. One of my friends described it as a "before" picture, that's how bad it was.
My threader also spent a large part of the appointment tweezing, instead of threading. While I totally understand getting in to do individual hairs with a tweezer, this was more than that - she tweezed large patches of hair. The reality is, I don't pay for a threading appointment to get tweezing instead - I can do that myself at home! Hard sell tactics maybe? To ensure I come back soon with even more patchy and uneven hair growth?!
So now I am GBP75 light and with crazy horrible eyebrows that I need to pay someone else to fix! read more
