I've had facials, as well as waxing, threading, and eyelash/eyebrow tinting. I went in today for an upper lip thread and eyelash tint. Some wires were crossed and the technician thought I wanted my eyebrows threaded as well. Since they probably needed it, to be honest, I had it all done. I was in and out in 20 minutes, and spent the princely sum of £19. My eyebrows and upper lip were done super fast, and from what I can tell, were done well. I had a new person today, someone who's only been there a few weeks. I hope she stays! They do tend to have a fairly high turnover of staff. My eyelashes are fine, but it is a bit messy. The bit of skin transfer though will be mostly gone after I shower and cleanse my face tonight, so I'm not worried. It's just worth pointing out as if you were hoping to go out right afterwards, you might find you're a bit raccoon-eyed. I called today at 2pm, and was able to get an appointment at 5pm, so I can't really complain! I did have to leave a message and get called back, as they don't have a receptionist who sits at the desk all the time, but that's okay. Aanana aren't going to change your world, but they will make you look a little more polished!

No fancy designs/nail art. Skip the eyelash extensions. They fall off when you use any oil-like makeup remover. Not a big deal for a 10-minute eyebrow wax, but perhaps less relaxing for the girl across from me who seemed to be getting her lashes done. (Side note: I have no idea what getting your lashes done entails, or why it is a category on Yelp. But I'll admit that now I'm curious.) It's not a cheap place and you maybe thinking it's not cheap then maybe they do something special. I went there in May 2017 for the first time and after I talked with her she suggested me to choose the black brown as she said it will be lighter after a while. I totally trusted her as a professional ( as she said so ) and chose her. At first she just trying to draw eyebrows by hand and there were no measurements what so ever ( As may you saw on adverts they always use the special rulers for making sure that you eyebrows are same ) After first drawing I explained to her that the eyebrows are not matching each other and helped her to make it better. When she finished her work she asked me to use cream every day and not wash my face for 2 weeks which I've done. After the two weeks I called her and explained the eyebrows are not in the same shape and she said I have to wait for 1 month. When I got there for second session and complained about the job she has done she told me she doesn't know why the eyebrow is like this and she promised me to fix it. Also in second session she just realized that my skin is oily and I didn't need to use the small amount of the cream daily!! When I complained about the colour ( it's still black!!!! ) she said sorry I expected it to become lighter! She tried to fix the eyebrow by getting it thicker and longer! She asked me to go back after a month for another treatment, The thing which I never done because the eyebrow is getting worse and it's really rubbish! When a coworker (with completely natural looking yet amazing lashes) admitted that she gets her lashes "done" by Kym at Lash Lab, I knew I had to check it out. I've visited Kym three times and never been disappointed. She will review the shape of your face and eyes as well as your natural lash coverage to ensure that you leave Lash Lab looking completely natural. The 60-90 minute application is painless (in fact, I usually sleep through 75%) and I leave Brick Lane feeling like a movie star. The lashes typically last for 4-6 weeks and cost me £85 (certainly worth every £). My husband doesn't notice when I chop 5 inches off my hair, when I dye from blonde to brown or when I'm sporting a hot new outfit. However, he does notice my lashes by Kym. Shhh, don't tell his buddies, but when my lashes are newly done, my hubby actually comments about how hot they are (and notices when they've all fallen out and nicely encourages me to visit Kym again).
