I'm feeling a little frustrated with my experience here. It was my first time coming to Brow Wizard- the only place I've had my eyebrows done previously was Ulta, and it was a really long time ago. I made a kind of impromptu decision to get my eyebrows done this afternoon. They were able to get me in without much notice, which I really appreciated. I got my eyebrows threaded and tinted. She showed me the outline for the threading before she started, and I was totally good with the shape. After she finished threading, everything still looked good as far as I could tell, but, in all fairness, I was under a ring light that's plastic part had popped off, so trying to look at myself with all the exposed bulbs wasn't very easy. There were other open beds which didn't have broken ring lights, so I'm not totally sure why we didn't go to one of those, but I didn't ask, just commented on how bright it was. The real issue came with the tinting. I asked for bold rather than natural, so the darkness of them is on me, but it's the shape that's bothering me! The chalk outline had a flat top to the brow, it looked (I thought) like I had a flat top to the brow after the micro blading, but then after the tint I have this weird rounded top that I kind of hate! I don't like the eyebrow shape at all. Again, I was too blinded in the shop to actually really see or I probably would have said something in the moment to see if we could fix it. I guess I would have appreciated more communication about tinting my skin/shaping the eyebrows with tint or some explanation about why it needed to be like that if it needed to be like that. I'm just a little confused since it doesn't, to me, feel like the shape I said yes to. So all that to say, I think I like the threading itself, but it's a little hard to tell through the tint. I'm wondering if the tint was used to try to even out my brows, but I didn't think my brows were uneven like that. I don't know. I'm not sure if I would go back / give it another chance. The prices were reasonable, their other reviews online were awesome, the place was cute, and they were super accommodating to get me in same day. read more

When booking I chose to go with a senior artist named Samantha. When I arrived I was warmly greeted and she asked what I wanted to get done. So, I arrived to my appointment more than on time... like two weeks early. Somehow I screwed up the online appointment booking. However, my mistake wasn't exposed until the appointment spot I took called to share she was running late... then everything was exposed- my mistake. The staff were very professional about my mistake and very gracious about it. I will also share that, every other threading experience has been being tipped back in a bad beautician chair, this one was not. It was a paddled table and a ring light above you. Additionally, the esthetician chalked my brows with a white line to illustrate the shape prior to starting. Very impressive. I can't express for how long I've kind of hated my face. I've always had this perception that it was hopelessly crooked. Anyway, a friend of mine had recommended this spot to me for microblading and I cannot be happier. My face wasn't crooked--my brows were thin (due to misguided overplucking in my youth) and asymmetrical. I now have lovely, symmetrical brows and, truly, my crooked-face complex has evaporated. I have been following brow wizard now for 2 years on instagram and finally decided to book! I have had a great experience with the downtown Orlando location. The place is very aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. There are three locations: Winter Park, Orlando, and Dr. Phillips. They're very accommodating and send instructions of what to expect by email and text messages with reminders of instructions and appt date/time/location. You can do an in-person or FaceTime consult with a deposit that goes towards the service. All my questions were answered by Maite and Joely. I had my brows and lips done in two separate appointments and received a Gal-entine's discount! Maite was very professional; she is very knowledgeable and detail-oriented for my specific needs and requests. She kept open communication and checked in with me frequently during both sessions. Such as, if she noticed the numbing cream was wearing off, she made sure to check in if I needed more. Each session was 3.5 hours long which is why I decided to separate the two services. You are sent home with a post care package with verbal instructions again as a reminder. The front desk clerk was very helpful. There are options for different methods of payment: could apply for Afterpay for 4 separate payments, split between different forms of payment such as 2 different cards, or can scan cash app barcode. They do have tap-and-go payment. A few things to consider: 1. You get what you pay for. The sessions may be pricey, but it's quality, professional service and products. I am confident I will be happy with the end result, as I have not had my touch up sessions just yet which are included with both lips and brows. 2. Have photos of what you want for brows and lips. For lips bring lipsticks you usually like to wear and have photos of your favorite lips. In my case, I forgot the lipsticks, but Maite was able to help figure it out with us together. 3. You do have to pay for parking where you can find it since it is downtown. There is a back parking lot that cost $9 for the day which is the closest. There is a parking garage a couple blocks down also. 4. There are no private booths, there are tables lined up next to each other with a basket for personal belongings and a blanket. They're a little bit tall so you have to use a step. However, this did not affect the performance. It was just something that I did not expect since I have never done permanent makeup before. There is was not more than one person at the same appt time. 5. There is not a strict policy whether or not you can bring kids. During one of my sessions, it made me nervous when a kid got up from the couch in the front area and was trying to come near my area with these tools in my face while I'm trying to relax despite experiencing some pain. A mom has to do what she has to do understandably, but this is not an appropriate place to bring children where the services require you to be relaxed for the best possible outcomes. read more

I have walked in and made appointments and have been treated equally each time. I get my eyebrows waxed and shaped once a month as well as a lip wax. Coming from south Florida I was hesitant trusting a new place with my eyebrows. And I feel like the girls get it, once you have your place you go there forever and ever but since I moved I had to find my new "place". Let me say Brow Wizard is it! Their attention to detail, service, and ideal location makes this place an absolute 5 stars. The first time I came without an appointment and they were so kind to squeeze me in even on her lunch break which just shows how above and beyond they go for their customers! I will say I emphasize the attention to detail because this will be the longest eyebrow appointment ever but let me just say they will get you right! 5 months. 5 months represents how long Ive been in to get my eyebrows maintained. I know peeps bad business. Between a move, career change, and just getting my grounding here in Orlando since I left my dream (glam) team in Broward. I was stalking Brow Wizard and their product. Beautiful eyebrow after beautiful eyebrow. I decided to take the plunge and go for it. I called day of and they were able to fit me in just before lunch. Val was kind and took her time to try to trace the micro blade that was once very apparent and now dimming out. She peeled back the bush and vwalla, the rest was history. The Brow Wiz does have two locations. One in downtown and one in Winter Park. The one in Winter Park is a minimalist dream. Not over the top with decor but just right. Three beds and an abundance of sunlight to make sure those brows are perfection. I so recommend bringing in a photo of what your brows once looked like so the wizard can conjure up something similar. I typically go to the downtown location but decided to try the winter park location since it is closer to my house. I had a newer artist who mapped out my eyebrows and asked if they were to my liking. I had her adjust to make them a bit thicker before threading. The threading lasted over 25 minutes, my skin was so raw it felt like they were lit on fire, I have a cut under my left eye from it which was bleeding when I left and she trimmed them so short that it looks like a razor was taken to the top half of my eyebrow. The tech also covered my eyebrows in makeup so I couldn't tell how bad they were until i got home and was able to take the makeup off. Thank god they grow back quickly but I'm so disappointed in how they look. Praying they grow in like normal I am unable to respond to the owners response below, but I'm pretty sure if I'm bleeding that should be enough for the tech to stop threading. Since I was a teenager, I've always filled in my brows. I'm Asian, the brows are sparse and I've always settled for using a brow liner to fill in all the empty spots and to give it shape. She took time to ask me what color I was comfortable with and if I had any specific needs. At this point, I trusted her enough to let her make the determination. After she was done and showed me the results, I have to say that I picked the right person for the job. It looks so natural and the brow looks perfect. Can't wait to see it fully healed! The shop also has lash services so I will be coming back to get lash extensions and they're also expanding to include lip contouring and permanent eye liner in the future. So, let me start off by saying that this review is long over due. I had my brows done back in October/November of this past year. I had been thinking about getting my brows done for awhile, but didn't know where to go. The first place I went to for recommendations, of course, was here on Yelp. Brow Wizard was the highest rated location for microblading (and I now know why). I began following Brow Wizard/Joely on Instagram and followed her for a few weeks to do my due diligence. At the time I was planning my wedding and as it was fast approaching I wanted to go ahead bite the bullet. I first messaged Joely on IG to ensure that my brows would be healed in time for my wedding. She responded to my questions almost immediately and I was booked within a day or two with one of her artists, Sam and paid my deposit. Now, I'm the type of person who doesn't like going to new people. Whether this be for doctors appointments, beauty appointments, etc. Thats because I'm a very shy person and I easily get nervous, so I was really hoping I would feel comfortable with Sam. I was very impressed when I walked into the salon. It was so nicely decorated and I loved that they had music playing throughout the salon. Sam quickly came to meet me, applied the numbing cream and had me fill out some paperwork. Within a few minutes, Sam took me into the back to find out what type of brows I was wanting and etched out the outline of my future brows. Sam was extremely meticulous and took her time making sure they were perfect and that I was happy with them. The room that all of this was done in was also very clean and well decorated (little details I appreciate). I was nervous when I sat down to begin the "procedure," but Sam made me feel so comfortable. We chatted the entire time and talked like we were old friends. It definitely made me forget about some of the pain that came along with having it done! After we were finished Sam gave me a mirror to check out my new brows and I was instantly shocked. I could not believe how beautiful and perfect they were for me. Even to this day I catch myself staring at them in the mirror. Before leaving Sam provided me with detailed instructions for the healing process and told me that she would follow up with me about my free touch up within a month or so. Again, I can honestly say that having this done was one of the best decisions I've made. Yes, the price tag can be slightly daunting, but all the time I save every day not having to do my brows is so worth it. I'm so happy I chose to have my brows done here and thank Sam so much for her amazing personality and talent.
